  1. Fender mirrors were picked up from the local Super Cheap Auto store. Paid $45 or so for the pair. Let me know if you'd like my pictures removed, feel like I've flooded your thread with my car that's all. :lolcry:
  2. 15x8s normally come with a zero offset or lower and a zero offset on a 8" wide wheel will give you about 3.5-4" of dish already, so you'll be sweet. I'll try to find some pictures of my car with different specs to give you an idea of how things sit. Edit: This is a 15x7.5 -8 wheel wearing 185/55 tyres. Front suspension, 86 struts and corona lower control arms. 14mm socket. Below is/are 15x7 +5 wheels with 185/55 tyre, same suspension as the above photos. New springs in this photo. Below are photos of those 7" wide wheels out back. 14mm socket once again, note the flared guards (dodgy, I know). And below are photos of the 7.5" -:lolcry: out back. Yeah, rears are flared with a pole, fronts.. just hammered the lip down. Hope that helps.
  3. Car looks clean mate. Very nice. What's the specs on those rear wheels?
  4. Car looks overrated! The amount of dish a wheel has depends on the offset of the wheels. A 8.5" wide wheel with an offset of -10mm will have the same dish as a 4.5" wheel with an offset of -67mm for example (if you can even find it in those specs). It's just easier to find dish on wider wheels because as you go wider, the offsets also goes wider (lower). If the panel van guards are the same as the sedan guards, I would recommend 15x7 +5 offset up front and 15x7.5 -5 out back or somewhere around there. Depending on the ride height, only a roll of the guards is needed. If you want 7.5" minimum then a offset of +12mm will sit the same as the 7" +5 for the fronts. Good luck with it!
  5. The gold looks fake? It needs to be darker or something. :bash: Edit: I just saw the photoshop thread over on 86dc. :(
  6. Was definitely your car. Headlights and all. No chance it was your brother or someone else driving it? I had a feeling it wasn't you who was driving it when I had a quick look at the driver, just thought it was your brother.
  7. Spotted Paul's pano leaving Trash and Treasure market this morning. Edit: Wantirna
  8. Hmm the newer 'e' series have been rated at 1200wrms.. :) Pretty sure when the 'd' series (what mine is) where released, they were rated at 1600wrms. Oh well, doesn't really matter. It hurts my ears so there's really no need for them to be any louder. hahaha Box wasn't designed to enter SPL comps either so.. Edit: Here's a few pics of my triple stacked magnets. :D
  9. Quite a bit to read! haha Your car looks good man. Definitely a set of tough wheels to set it off. Looks pretty clean as it is. Edit: Forgot to mention, I'VE LOST MY KEY TO THE RAYS LOCK NUTS!!!! :) I can't take my wheels off... :D Not without the use of a hammer at least...
  10. Ooohh I've always wanted to do something like that. It'll look tough as. Bend them up!
  11. I'll see you there unless something happens with my wheels/tyres. :)
  12. Good luck with the search mate. :D
  13. Car: 1983 KE70 Modified/Unmodified: 86 struts up front with xt130 control arms Rim Size: 15x7.5 and 15x7 Rim Offset: -8 and +5 Stud/Bolt Pattern: 4x114.3 Tyre Size/Profile: 185/55 all round Fitment Note: Wheels clear struts easily. You'll need a flare out back to tuck the tyres underneath. Fronts are perfect, if anything, they just rub on the guards a bit near the front section. Just adjust your castor to suit. Enough offset to look good and doesn't draw too much unwanted attention.
  14. I've got AE86 struts in my car at the moment and all that's needed to fit them into a KE70 (1983 if it matters) is installing AE86 steering arm's as well. You'll be able to fit them with their strut tops, but the castor will be way out, just install the standard tops on the struts. Edit: I just realised that number 2 in what you've quoted is for the rear and yeah, you'll need to reinforce the area where the shock is normally mounted because when you go coilover system, the car's weight is placed where it isn't designed to be.
  15. With everyone I've seen who's got the T18 bars on, they've all had to modify quite a bit to get the rear bars to fit. I never got the original T18 brackets so wouldn't really know if just redrilling is needed.
  16. Cheers, Vinnie. :D Yeah, I can definitely remember the days when I still had the 4K. It failed to deliver when I needed it! hahahah Oh well. The motor's gone now and I've got the 4AGE in its position. Good luck with your ride also mate. I wouldn't hold my breath for the youtube link to be honest! It'll come, I just don't know when. Edit: Thought I should also mention that I got defected over the week end. Was pulled over by a really nice copper so was only done for having wheels which protrude from the guards and to replace all four tyres. That'll be cleared tomorrow hopefully. Not too sure if I should go and install these wheels back on though. I've been let off twice pretty much now for these wheels. Edit edit: Defect cleared. It's just sitting 'hovercraft spec' right now (stock wheels with the lowered ride height). Will be getting tyres for the other wheels and I think they'll be going back on.
  17. Looks good dude! Rear could be a little higher or the fronts a little lower, but the wheels look good!
  18. Great photo opportunity this Sunday at the cruise guys!!
  19. Great news mate, congrats! :)
  20. Ahh I can't remember what I paid for mine. :P $15 was probably the price I paid for my oil filter. hahaha. Point of that sentence was to say that 'they're not expensive, just replace it'.
  21. Put me down for a 'maybe' mate! Not too sure what's going on tonight and tomorrow so can't really say what's going to happen on Sunday. Looks like it'll be a pretty good run. Hopefully some nice weather too. :P
  22. I think this link will help solve your running problems. Not all that hard to do either. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...e/Decarbonising And with your fuel filter, just throw in a new, clean one and see if there's any difference. They only cost about $15.
  23. I think I might go for those shocks. Was keen on them a while back, but not many people using them lead me to believe the bushes needed pressing out. I think that ride height is pretty much perfect (looks wise). Having a decent set of wheels which fill out the guards, then it wouldn't look so low.
  24. Yeah, I'm definitely thinking of seats at least after Sunday's run. Wouldn't mind some coilovers to be honest. Just having the ease of adjusting the ride height would be awesome, but no money. :( And if I did have money for them, I would probably purchase a new pair of wheels instead! hahah :P I try to slide this thing from time to time. Just waiting on my mates to get their car's on the road then I'll probably do it more often. Bit boring going out by yourself. Planning on going out and taking a video of the car tonight, so stay tuned for a youtube link.
  25. Where are you from mate? Would help others out in helping you with some information. :P
