I think I've heard of this before when NickZ was fitting his 4K-E setup, He said the extractors would not match up with the intake manifold. He had to break a piece out of the middle of the intake manifold so they would both go on properly. Have you had a look to see where they are hitting and if it is possible to angle grind a piece off thats hitting together?

Is it a Aus T50 or Jap T50? possibly source the opposite type or bellhousing so the clutch slave is on the opposite side perhaps?

I had an annoying rattle a few months back, got under the car one weekend and noticed my whole alternator would shift from side to side. No idea how it managed to, But it unwound the bolts from the alternator bracket to the block and they were tight as last time I did them up. Tightened them back up and they have been great ever scince..

I do believe you mean AE71, If it was a KE71 it would be a backyard engine conversion to a K series motor. You would have the 1.6L (A series) 4A-C in it.. Welcome to Rollaclub anyways..

Sometimes the seal hardens and sticks to the head, Trick is to get the hammer (AKA SST1) and give it a few love taps to persuade it to come off..

4Ks came with EFI, But they have baby injectors and a very restrictive intake manifold/throttle body..

I call your bluff and raise you a worked Twincam Motor! I swapped just the tacho and digital clock into my original cluster when I was having problems.. That is the way it stayed, After my electrical issues were solved..

Why don't you upgrade to AE86 running gear in the front end?

The simple answer is yes you can swap them directly over, All the wiring they need is there. Secondly its easiest just to swap your original Speedo over, I think its just 2 bolts from memory. I think I have pics here from when I pulled mine apart somewhere, Will have a look when I get home later.. But yeah, You should be able to swap the digital clock and tacho in to your cluster and it should all work fine too..
