  1. Who on here owns a KE70 and isn't into drifting? Does anyone do any other form of racing?
  2. I put camber plates in my daily only to run zero camber, but I plan on putting the camber plates into my track car and running an amount of neg camber. They're probably not worth it in a daily. Never fitted my lock spacer, I'll probably never get around to it. Power steering arms give me enough lock. T3 steering arms are beefy, I'm happy with these and they are cheeper than buying second hand factory power steering arms. New bushes are win. New steering components are win.

Fuel system in! \ My friend came around today to check out the intake manifold. He's going to cut and shut it for me. And I spent a lot of time last night figuring out the wiring, I think I've got it sorted! ;)

I mounted the surge tank the same way you did it, but I put a big dent in the fuel tank to get extra clearance. There really isn't much room under there is there... I might take some pics tomorrow, I haven't posted pics in ages.

I had to crimp some ring terminals onto the end of the VP wiring because it had a weird wiring plug where it connected to the in-tank pump, but other than that it was exactly the same as VL-VS intank wiring. You should have kept the CA18DET KE70!

    ^I'm jealous of that.

Thanks man^ So I didn't get much done today, I installed the in-tank lift pump, mounted the surge tank and the EFI pump. Started plumbing the EFI hose and then it was dark. But I had to go to the wreckers to get the in-tank wires out of a VP commodore and that took a fair while.
  9. No, all the shocks in that thread fit into an AE86. But there are modifications required for most of the front shock options. However, any shock that fits the REAR of a AE86 will fit the REAR of a KE70. Commodore rear shocks are a popular choice.
  10. If the first hoop doesn't reach then they are probably too short anyway. There are plenty of dampers to choose from; check out this thread: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/1115-Rear-Front-end-shock-options
  11. Ouch! How do you even fix a broken/cracked jaw?

Hmm, I'll have to have a looks at it and see what I can do. Thanks for the tip.
  15. Is it just me or is your seat uber close to your steering wheel?
  16. This is excellent.
  17. Definitely, dbr11k's car will have to be photoshopped in ;)

Changing the rear flange was my first thought, but the universal joints are different sizes between the two tailshafts that I have. Then my next thought was to get the tailshafts cut and swapped, ie make 1 useable one out of the two I have, but I was quoted at $220 to have that done. Which I really didn't want to pay considering I can get a T series for cheaper than that (hopefully). I'll be getting stuck into this car again when I get back to Byron, I think I'll have the engine running in a couple of days. Then I'll sort out the tailshaft.

Alright thanks for the advice everyone.

Today I discovered (thanks to Destroyer) that my tailshaft fits a T series diff. So people, what should I do? Should I just hunt down a AE71 tailshaft, or should I buy a T series (drum brakes, and its not assembled + needs new axel bearings) for $160? I kind of just want to get an AE71 tailshaft because I'm lazy, but it may take a while to find one and I want it now!

Clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, braided line and hard line now installed. Water pipes and thermostat are modified for RWD and installed. Radiator is in, thermo fan has been acquired. Engine loom is modified and installed. TAILSHAFT IS THE WRONG ONE!!!! It was sold to me as an AE71 tailshaft, it's the right length and it fits to the T50 but it doesn't fit up to the Borgwarner diff. I suspect it's a T50/T-series tailshaft. Anyone want to swap for an AE71 tailshaft?? ;)
  22. Yep, that's a cool colour! Suspension next?
  23. lol, airbox ftw! Pod filters are way lame.

This car was an auto, it had a different size speedo cable. So a K50 speedo cable will be fine?
