  1. Putting the brake shoes back in is the worst, you'll need some good pliers to hold the springs. And make sure the adjuster rod thingy is screwed in all the way before you start.

Farrrrrrrrk. My friends and I used to do this when we were teenagers. There was a small derby in a town called Bangalow and we'd make a cart every year. The first year the cart was wooden and had wheelie bin wheels, the second year it had 12" bike wheels and from the third year onwards we'd built a fully welded tube framed cart with Campagnolo 700c racing wheels and started referring to it as a "gravity racer". Shit got out of hand, but holly ʞ©$ɟ we aced that derby every year after that.

I've never actually done a burnout. I don't even know if this car could do a burnout, but I should try it :pirate:

I should go racing soon, this thing just sits in my yard doing nothing.

Long grass makes my car look lower
  6. Coilovers are probably the best solution, get base height adjustable ones if they're available for your car. And you really shouldn't be using a jack in the dirt.
  7. The probably won't fit, the offset is very high. You should google offset, it will make choosing wheels much easier.
  8. I fitted a ebay 3 core alloy radiator to my car about a year ago. It works really well (I've never seen my water temp get above 90 degrees with an 88 degree thermostat) and hasn't caused any problems so far, but apparently alloy will corrode if there is any electrolysis or potential difference between the alloy radiator and whatever you bolt it to (ie. bolting an alloy radiator to a steel panel will create a potential difference, and if your coolant is old and shitty (or you don't use demineralised water), the coolant will act as an electrolyte and cause the radiator to corrode). But really, if there is no electrical charge making it's way into your cooling system and you use proper coolant and demineralised water you won't have any problems.
  9. You should see the dents in mine from when I get mad.
  10. Repco sell Pro-Lift jacks which I'm pretty sure is made by the same company as Omega, so they are probably pretty good. We just got this jack in at work, it's a Kincrome 3 tonne jack and it weighs 50kg. It's the biggest trolley jack I've ever seen, I would have bought one if I knew we were getting them.
  11. Post a pic of the inside of the distributor?
  12. Yes. You have to change a lot of parts, but most of them will bolt in. Things you have to change: - engine - engine mounts - engine crossmember - gearbox - gearbox crossmember - gearbox sandwich plate - gearbox to engine stays - tailshaft - pedal box - exhaust - fuel system Things you don't have to change: - differential - brakes - suspension Things you should change: - differential - brakes - suspension
  13. Seems pretty common with hotrods, it looks wild too! But imagine how loud it would be.
  14. I've seen it done on a hotrod. The exhaust pipes were about 2 foot long and it was stupidly loud. The reasons why I think it's not done very often: - expensive: 6 pipes are more expensive then 2 - heavy: 6 small pipes are heavier than 2 big ones - takes up too much space under the car - probably lose power if anything - its illegal: from what I've read the exhaust must pass the rear wheels - loud: where are you going to put 6 mufflers?
  15. This is so legit; overcome all head loss!
  16. Make a short sleeve out of some tube? It doesn't need to be connected to the nut does it? Or just tighten the top nut up really tight and don't worry about ;)
  17. I know the song, but (feeling kinda dumb here) I missed the reference completely. :( Dunno, got stoked on this car and it was the first thing that popped into my head.
  18. If you are using SW20 KYB AGX dampers then the T3 upper spring seats will fit, don't even trip. However you may need to use a spacer between the upper spring seat and the BC camber plate. I have Kincrome vernier calipers, I really like them but they were about $80. Although I use them all the time so they were worth it. I'd avoid digital ones because I've seen too many faulty ones.
  19. T3 upper spring perches/top hats/whatever they're called will work, they're actually designed to work with the AGX dampers. T3 make two types of upper spring perches, and from looking at the base of your camber plates you do not want to buy the ones with the needle roller bearing, get the standard ones instead.
