OK,

I have always had an obsession with the trd 3kr engine from back in the day, realised I was never going to get a real one so I decided to build my own.

I don’t recommend this conversion to anyone I did it just to be see if it could be done. It took a lot of time and if I was not a fitter/turner a lot of money.

Hope you find it as cool as I do.

each piston would need different relief locations, because the bore spacing on the head is different to the block. also if i did it again i would weld the sides of the combustion chambers and re-shape

Sick find. I love Australia.  Shirtless guys in the dark with a torch working on one of a kind engineering projects in the backyard.  I feel pride.

You f@$king rock. Makes my 18rg look lame as hell.

What's it in!

Looks great.. Legend!

Haha that is wikid. Also is that passenger side strut tower cut for some reason? :hmm:

thats possibly the coolest thing i have seen in a long time , what do u think it cost u to do . again the coolest thing

Strut towel is not cut, thats a wire.

Amazing job, any power figures??

I guess I'm asking - besides the coolness factor, was it worth the effort?
