  1. Bit of a noob question here but what are the dog tags on the aisan carbs for? Can they be used to find out what k motor they are from? I understand that the less carbon emmission stuff means the older the carb.

  8. So I have the ae92 heater outlet which i need to change. My question is about the two temperature sensors? in the heater outlet.. What are they for? ie one controls the radiator fan one does the ecu.. i dunno. why are there 2? can i remove one? pinched a link to photo below.. one green plug one brown. I would be eternally grateful if some guru could tell me: brown= x green= y engine will run fine without x... thanks in advance! http://i260.photobuc...ear_oultets.jpg running standard ecu and stripped harness.

Does anyone have any information on converting a 4k dizzy to fit a 4age? A step by step write up would be excellent, but diagrams, pictures and measurements would be equally as helpful. Also, what are peoples succes rates with the 4k dizzy fittedto a carb'd 4age? Can they be made to run smoothly/well?

hey everyone. ive recently bought a KE30 running a 4K head, 5K block and a SC14 supercharger. ive only just noticed that my charger is lacking in oil  . i was wondering if anybody would be able to tell me (apart from genuine toyota oil) which oil i can run in my supercharger and approx how much it will cost for it? this is my first charger and id like it to last as long as i can make it. havent exactly had it off to a good start so far. Last owner was running the carby at a crap idle, left mounting bolts out of the charger, lines left unplugged etc etc. Any help is appreciated. cheers

Hey all, I have searched everywhere under all the search tag combinations I can think of but can not for the life of me find what I am looking for. A while back I came across a forum post/thread where someone gave a really good illustrated walk-through for doing your own acid washing at home. I can not for the life of me find it anywhere. If anyone has a link to it can you please post it in here. Just finished stripping the engine down and now the fun part of building it back up :-)

I have been lucky enough to have been gifted some s13 front brakes but is as far as I have got . Was wanting help on what master and slave to use what else I need to put the brakes on and what affordable rear brake combo to use in conjunction with the s13 front . And also a way to get around Nissan front and Toyota rear stud patterns . Please help!!

  19. Hey all, going 4kc dizzy on a 4age smallport, and I need to know the measurements from the base of the shaft (ha) (where it contacts the head) to the top of the dizzy gear. IIRC I read somewhere that the gears for old and new 4ages are slightly different, so don't know if that would effect the measurements, so please if you do measure the distance to the bottom of the gear as well as to the top of it ;). Going to try get a late model smallport gear from a toyota dealer or something. Shitty 4ac blew a headgasket, so it looks like it's 4age time lol. Also, swear I didnt type that thread title so retardedly. Hax.

So I'm thinking of swapping my te27 cluster into my ke25. Parrot sent me a diagram of the pin plug into the back of the cluster. According to it I just have to rotate the plug and plug it in and run a black wire from the negative side of the coil to pin 7 of the plug I have read alot of different things and people say u need to swap wires etc. I had a look at a few looms I have at home. One loom I have even has pin 7 (black wire) in it amd near where it hooks to the coil it has a black wire red trace taped away with a round terminal head. I suspect this is a te27 wiring loom I have. I have another loom with totally different color wires in the pin plug compared to tha…

  32. I am working with Non-Stop Tuning (NST)--the leading maker of lightweight pulleys in the USA. They've agreed to develop lightweight crank, water pump, and alternator pulleys for the 3K/4K engines. We'll be switching from the v-belt design to a serpentine style belt system. There's a huge range of colors and at the moment the complete set is running $300 US. The price may seem a little high but where else can you get these? NST is really doing us a favor by agreeing to take on such a small project. Several other companies that approached turned me away. So, bottom line--if you are interested post here and let NST know! NST is more than happy to ship anywhere in t…

iv been having a weird idle issue with my smallport 4age. it will start out at 2k RPM when its cold which is fine, but once its had a chance to warm up it will usually sit just above 1k RPM and thats fine too. But every so often, especially on hot days, il be sitting at the lights and the RPM will drop to 900-950 and shudder a lot. and if its been sitting out after iv been driving and i get back in it will start up fine but immediately drop below 1k idle and choke out and stall. that's only happened twice though. any ideas what could be causing this?
