Hello Rollaclub people, see a few familiar names on here! Thought I'd register and get my foot in the door. This is my Daihatsu Charmant A35, I'm sure you'll be familiar with the name as in terms of parts it is mechanically identical to the KE70. It has a 4K engine and 5 speed manual box just the same, it just looks different. They're a pretty obscure car worldwide, Daihatsu marketed it as an executive car back in the early 80s and as expected didn't really sell many. They faded into obscurity quite fast! Ran today out at willowbank for the 2nd time drove out and ran a 12.95 straight of the bat. Followed by a 12.51 and a best of 12.41 last run felt even quicker got a good launch before blowing the box. Lost third went to fourth los forth then rooted the whole box! Big auto and transbrake now maybe???? Seen a certain white ke 4 door also pull some good mid 12 sec passes as well

the project has started for my 1984 ae86 sprinter. first things first, the front had to be fixed up due to a little bit of a love tap that saw me bend the rail, and dam was it hard to find a good front end! (thanks Vu) she is gettin a full spray job in toyota maroon again with black bumpers and bonnet (fully sik jdm style) and sitting at home is a gze bottom end, with 20 valve top end conversion waiting to slip in, will be a few months b4 that happens though. got a few pics of the restoration process for ya p.s, if theres anyone with a t50 for sale in vic, pls pm me

Started to pull it apart and slowley fix it all up. Then 3 weeks later this red one comes up for sale. just lookig for some prices on a 4a or sr20 and came across this website http://www.japparts.com.au they have brand new 4y engines that look identical to the k's. they also have elect dizzies that look like they would fit a k engine. i've looked in the threads for suitable diffs for a worked 4k, hilux and commodore diffs are apparently to heavy, what about old mazda 626 or something cheap like that, could it take a floggin all day?

Well it has been i while since i last posted anything related to corollas. About 4 months ago i bought a new project and alot has happened since then. My new pride and joy is a 1975 Ke35. Recently bought a ke20 off a forum member and local, has replaced my ke55 as a project car as i like these shapes better. had bought a 2tg/3t hybrid for the 55 and it seemed a waste to try and sell the engine as i would never get what has been spent by me so far and the previous owner so its down the resto road i go. hopefully getting the rust fixed up within the next week, then a new paint job to keep it in good nick for a while longer. most probably end up white, not too fussy on colours etc. it will just be a car for fun so interior will be 2 seats and some aluminum trim, maybe a half cage if it flexes too much, anyone who can give me ideas on suspension and brake…

Well here is my new project car. To start off i am just fixing the few rust spots in her (have already cut the rust out just gotta weld in new steel u can see it in the pics) and going to colour match it all to the original colour. Hey I'm new here so I thought I'd show off my KE50 seeing as there's only one other one on the entire forum. They're definitely a rarity but chicks dig 'em and that's all that matters. Mine's a 77 model. Came with the 1166cc engine which was way too slow for my Dad when he owned it (132kph on-the-mat ) so he shoehorned in a water injected, T04 Rotomaster turbocharger way back in '79 for Mini Cooper S beating performance & 172kph max. I have recently acquired a ke11, it had been sitting under a tree for like 25 odd years and i got it for next to nothin which is a bonus and the body is good part from one dint on the back next to r/h tail light. The car is pretty well complete bar a couple of small things. It has minimal rust from what i can see but the paint is screwed from leaves sitting on it :y: - definately new coat needed!, thinkin maybe gun metal grey, but open to suggestions. the interior is pretty well complete, however the back seat is blue and the front red??? anyone know why, has it just been reappolsterd? or changed? does any one know of a good cheap rotar package, supply and fit! …

gday everyone, this is my ke16 I semi rebuilt, painted etc. It's got a rebuilt 4k with 7ke fuel injection, crane cams electric distributor and coil, 5speed, tacho. We put it on the dyno last friday and had huge back fire type flutters out of the throttle body, since running the motor in over the last two weeks it hasn't been reving well at all, so i thought a tune would sought things out but the owner of the dyno seems to think a lobe on the cam has been chewed off. We measured the valve lift and it looks like my rebuild could of been a rip off, I asked for a tighe cam with .423 valve lift and we measured around .25. The cam comes out tomorrow for…

Been floating around here for a long time and I finally got off my arse and got a few pics of the Rolla. It has been used for motorkhanas for a long time so that is why it is covered in mud underneath. It is too hard to clean off. grotty looking 5k :) at least the oil leaks don't show up much side shot. Mods to strut mounts are not visible not factory tacho dash behind aftermarket tacho another interior shot modified rear springs so there are only two leaves Circle shows original control arm bolt hole (technically illegal with some clubs but who looks :P )

hey guys,just scored this nice ke70.clean as except for a bit of cancer.i saw this on the way home from the shops, it said best offer on the window so i offered alot less that what i thought it was worth they took it SCORE.don't know what mods i want i need time to think about it ive only owned the car for 8 hours now. there is a bit of rust, thats what i want to get fixed first. :)

So named because he's just an organ donor... Bought for $300usd with a new clutch and a rebuilt transmission both will be going in Daisy. I plan to remove the struts and bend them to correct Daisy's horrible positive camber. I haven't decided whether I'm going to put all my worn out parts on it and sell it as a whole car, or strip it and store the spares and sell the shell on ebay for a rotary swap (BIG over here) or REALLY strip it and scrap the body. Hey everyone i bought this 1977 KE30 about a month ago all the way in Dapto for 900 buks. The car looked in pretty good condition, not much rust, imaculate interior. I had the car stock for about 3 weeks and then came across these black racing wheels, 250 buks for 4 with rubber! Unfortunatly one was buckled so i used only 2 on the fronts. As soon as i got those wheels on i got syked and cut 2 coils off my front springs. As soon as i lowered the front i discovered how useless the stock shocks were, s i bought a pair of pedders gas shocks and also a pair of pedders lowered springs. yeap......4k is running on like 3 cylinders but running nonetheless haha, has a locked diff which is missing one of the shims and has no diff oil in it haha (will get round to it ;) ). no interior cept for a guage pod zippy tied to the steering column and 2 chairs, custom ignition lol (i pulled the switch out and superglued a knob to it so u don't need a key...ignition was rooted) and yeah thats about it. still deciding whether to use this one as my drift project or another cleaner one. its a beast!!!!! ;) :) (crap phone camera images) (crap phone camera video haha) (p.s. don't mind the fusion doll....he wanted a ride :kiwi: )
