  1. Aren't SLR's also a V12, not a V10!?
  2. Got sent these in one of those group spam emails. Was titles "This is NOT stainless steel"..... Here was the blurb..... Recession? What recession? Check this out! It's a Mercedes Benz owned by an Abu Dhabi oil billionaire. Featuring the newly developed V10 quad turbo with 1,600 horsepower and 2800nm of torque 0-100km/h in less than 2secs, 1/4 mile in 6.89 secs running on biofuel. That is NOT stainless steel. It is WHITE GOLD! I'm sure you'll sleep better tonight, knowing that the exorbitant dollars you're paying for gas these days are at least going to a good cause... Wouldn't be suprised if the white gold is a load of crap though as I can't see this doing a quarter in 6.89 seconds! :lolcry:
  3. Here's one of the GB rubber boots you desire..... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-COROLLA-KE30...=item5189273a59 FYI - Thats ones from Phil's Rotaries not Malaysia. Also with the calipers, if you want to leave them looking like that in bare metal do yourself a favour and paint them in some clear coat. That way when they do get coated in brake pad dust it will be a lot easier to clean up again. Oh and if you do paint them also make sure you use "Brake caliper and drum paint" as this won't peel off due to the heat generated by the brakes. :lolcry:
  4. Yes Evan a bonnet,...... take notice...... its not a whole car!!!!
  5. Nah man this is a steel case W box (W40 & W50 only), you're thinking of the alloy case W boxes (W56, W58 etc) that they use behind 4a's. Saying that though they're still a bloody strong box. Wasn't uncommon to find then behind 300rwkw 13bt 8-9 second cars back in the day. Dellow also made a bellhousing for these to be used behind 202's and small blocks. Remember back 10 years ago when you were an enthausiastic kid looking at car magazines. Anything that listed it was running a "Corona 4 speed" was using a W40. FYI - ARP also do torque to yeild head bolts for 7m's.
  6. Good work mate! Told you I wouldn't be the only person wanting to see this! :lolcry:
  7. Would help if you told us what cross member you're talking about! But yes the engine and GB cross members are...... pretty mcuh everything (within reason) is interchangable between a KE30 and KE55, even KE35/36/38.
  8. I emailed spool at the start of January....
  9. The small down draft (32/32 32/36 etc) needle and seat will hold up to 12'ish PSI of fuel pressure. Stock carb won't hold much over 4psi. HOWEVER, this isn't a problem. If you use the right carby turbo rising rate regulator [Click "TAR" in my sig for pics of it] then you can reg it down to 4psi base pressure, and then it'll up itself with boost. Are you also going to use a lift pump/surge tank/main pump? As for spark plugs - get yourself some NGK b7es.
  10. Huh!? KE35's are coupes!
  11. What did I tell you Tom! :P
  12. I don't know much about these, think they're a levin or treuno. Wait from a reply from hiro or maybe uncle shades, I'm sure either will give you the run down. :P
  13. I doubt someone (under 200kg) could really hold it down enough for you. See if you can't clamp it to a bench or something, or get part of it stuck behind a bench vice etc.
  14. Correct, they even have the same toyota part #.
  15. Nah, that's the going rate...... for a good one though.
  16. Been doing some serious thinking about turbos lately after getting this POS S15 T28. Have rung GCG and I can get myself a brand new GT2560R for $1080 which has a 12 month warrentee. Sold just over $400 worth of parts last week so I sort of have enough money to get it. :) This is the one I'm looking at.... http://gcg.com.au/turbo/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=10 the -4 version is for "Extreme applications".
  17. Thats for a 3k dizzy only. But yeah I think it would be too small as well. They're more like 60-70mm wide.
  18. There was only this one about the doors.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=38714
  19. You should try and get that bike transported to the 'National Automobile Museum of Tasmania'...... http://www.about-australia.com/travel-guid...um-of-tasmania/ I'm sure they'd be happy to have it, and then they can also look after it for you!! :)
  20. If they've never been removed they can be quite tight and take a bit of work. If they have been removed recently they won't be as hard. I normally just use the brake drum turned around the other way with a couple of wheel nuts on it. If thats not enough then try the whole wheel.
  21. Vids or ban! :)
  22. Find the sway bar holes in the chassis rails?
  23. Now what really is the point of that! :) You upgrade to an elec dizzy to get rid of the points. Oh and they're not a hall effects, they're a reluctor pick up.
