  1. Just ignore evan, most of us do!! :)
  2. And people here think that RA28GT finds mintas..... well he does, just not as overrated as everything you come up with Gav! :)
  3. :) Looks tops as always Mark. BTW, can I borrow your crank pulley puller soon?
  4. You could always just try replacing all of the bearings in your diff first. Under $50 should get you a couple of axle bearings and the conical diff bearings. The noise is most likely just an axle bearing but if you're taking them out then you might as well do the diff ones too. Any KE30/35/36/38/50/55 diff would be a bolt in replacement, however depending on what it came from it might have different ratios to the wagon one.
  5. 1.75 would also happily do the job. I've actually got a 1.75 which has a draw through v-band flange adapter on the back of it I 'don't need. Think it has a couple of bits missing though - Just throttle linkage.
  6. The 4 square ones at the bottom also look very TE37'ish BTW. :)
  7. Chuck some plug and coil leads at it. Supercheap auto bosch supersport plug lead set FTMFW! :)
  8. That looks like one very light flywheel!!! Whats happening to this old motor?
  9. IIRC Elfin DIY kits are around $15K - no motor or box etc.. Buying a built one is more like $40-50K
  10. Ryan the 7kc's have the same size (inlet and exhaust) ports as any other 3/4/5k. So you can use any 'small port' manifolds. The 7ke's have oval inlet ports which are 3kBP size if you round them out (there's a pic in my project thread of when I was port matching my 7ke manifold) and the exhaust ports are MUCH larger.
  11. Using the proper carby turbo RR reg is a much better idea. It doesn't put back presure on the pump(s) like the carter setup did. Sometimes if you were sitting at a set of lights (or very irritatingly in the staging lanes at the dragway) for a while the pump would start to cavitate and you'd loose all fuel pressure. You also have no real boost restriction with the RR reg setup..... well nothing under say 30psi'ish anyway. Only thing I did to that carb was fit a bigger needle and seat out of a falcoon weber. All of the N&S's out of the down draft webers are interchangable. Oh and some dyno tuning for jet sizes also. :)
  12. Have a look in the "technical builds" section. There is a guy there who put an R33 IIRC boost and master in his ke70 which bolted straight in. :)
  13. I also agree with the above... ....but if you want more info, the green wagon (black bonnet) above was done by a user here by the name of kewagon. Might be worth sending him a PM. :) Who's is the other one Dan? Is that nicks old 2 door?
  14. Don't go the round ones unless you want it to look like a poor man's RX3 coupe. :)
  15. Had a similar plroblem with headlights and stuff not working. Spent ages trying to sort it, gave up temporaraly. Moved onto other engine bay work which included putting the earth straps on the motor.... and low and behold the lights started working! Was the only thing we could put it down to.
  16. Nope. That coil is designed to run no ballast resistor, adding one will potentially stuff your coil.
  17. Nice! Looks just like mine, which also has a factory 5 speed and a/c. Except I've got a few more CC's under the bonnet.
  18. There's NO reason why YOU can't organise something like this locally if you feel strongly enough about it!!!
  19. I know it might sound like a strange question but how many earth straps do you have to the motor?
  20. Yeah mate, there's more after tassie nats. check the calendar link I posted for more dates. Since you have the right regulator for the job I would suggest you do use a lift pump, surge tank and main EFI pump. Here's a tech article which shows you how to set everything up.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17418 Have you had it on boost, say in 4th gear, for over 10 seconds yet? Or driven it hard through all the gears. You may not have drained the float bowl completely yet and hence you don't think its a problem,..... when if you drove it hard it would be.
  21. Start a wanted to buy thread in the wanted section. Make sure to add your location. I'm sure somebody will have something laying around locally they don't need.
  22. Are they actually for a rolla..... or are they just commo pads though? Great to see somebody making some decent pads if so..... mind you most people will just upgrade the brakes anyway. Can you put up some prices for what you have available please? I actually only just priced some commo bendix's at Bursons earlier in the week! I only want something for 1-2 track days and then I'll also be upgrading to something with 4 pistons per caliper.
  23. I just copied and pasted it on tasrotary. Have you put it on the toyotas forum?
  24. Thanks for putting that up Ben. I think its a great idea to get the "car enthausients" point across to show we're not all "Rev head bogans". FYI this must have only just been organised, like in the last few days? That triaffic light (at the entrance to seaport) only got taken out on the weekend, I saw it early Monday morning.
