  1. lol classis Rob.
  2. Lol, not quite. Intercollers are in no way mandatory. But by reducing the inlet temp you can then add back in some timing, which will make some difference. The bearings aren't the issue with the turbo orientation, as yes they would work if verticle, the problem is oil draining out of the turbo. If you restrict the oil fow out of the turbo it can back up and stuff the oil seals.
  3. What have you done about your timing?
  4. With the supercharger he should need such a high stally. A stocko one would probably do the job..... unless you burnt it out!!! :lolcry:
  5. Ah fairo. Thought it seemed like a bit of a mismatch of technology.
  6. You need a "flooded" over Tassie too Shades. We had a town or 2 get a bit wet last week too.
  7. Sorry to hear that mate. Water doesn't look too high, did your cars just go for a paddle, not a full swim?
  8. No in series not parallel. The heater tap is easily deactivated so it always flows.
  9. :hmm: Quads...... but waste spark coils!?
  10. Take some advice from somebody else trial and error and don't boost it without severly retarding (like locking dizzy) the timing. You'll just blow a head gasket if you don't.
  11. LOL, thats why you also teach your GF how to fix it too!!!! :lolcry: She doesn't even bother calling me now if she needs to give a starter motor a 'technical tap' now. Water lines are actually pretty easy Dave, you just plumb the turbo in line with the heater core. Mines just after the heater, but I suppose there's no reason why you couldn't put it in before for a super hot heater! :laff:
  12. Hey buddy, haven't been online much lately. Guessing you got hit pretty hard?
  13. Yeah Madrolla ran upwards of 23psi. I've also recorded 22psi on my data logger. As said above its pretty easy to drop the CR of a 5k, then it really all does just come down to the tune, espeacially timing.
  14. Wrong, wrong and more wrong. You don't need one.... lagally or mechanically, so don't bother. :no2:
  15. Yeah currently no restrictions for P platers here.... but don't be suprised if we follow suit with other states soon. Moral - Mod and mod plate the car now, so when law due come in you can get an exemption as you already have the car!
  16. Where about are you? Wouldn't mind having a look at that turbo! :hmm:
  17. Fair enough. Actually I think I've seen your car at a club day at symmons before. You weren't having too much trouble staying on the tail of Munro's 1G powered corona. One of my mates had his 1JZ powered LJ out there that day.
  18. Are you from Hobart? Was talking to a guy on the weekend who said he has a mate with a 4age KE11.
  19. You can get cheaper adjustable cam gear sets. I've got a "Rollmaster" set in the shed. Pretty much just looks like a normal one but has a few more locating holes like the one above. Worth mentioning that the TRD kit abve is a solid gearset, so it no longer runs a chain mick.
  20. Steam pipe for the turbo manifold is not overkill..... its mandatory!!!!
  21. And I plan to do the same with a KE38!! :D
  22. There's a few of them in NZ... Busa Starlets that is....
  23. Damon in Beauty Point is wrecking a k'sev I think!
  24. Congrats mate. Get us a pic up!!!
  25. They're a bit like a Tardis in reverse, bigger than a sourer on the outside, but seem smaller than a celica on the inside. Here's how to road test your cosmo front cut! :laff: .....
