I'm just putting this out there but this 1j idea wont happen. 1) its not legal 2) its expensive 3) millions of other reasons Find someone with a 1jz in their car and ask them how much have they spent on it (including car purchase) Anything with a 1j in it will cost minimum 8K. Either factory installed or converted.

Where did you get info about the wheel spacers mate? Its pretty unsafe running slip-on spacers even if glued with anything. Get wheels that fit and do it right.

If lucky enough find someone else with another rolla wrecking with keys. Swap all of the barrel over except for the ign and have two keys. Fit solex locks and have a different key for the ign. Getting a single key is only possible if you drill out the screw that holds in the ign barrel and replace. (not fun)

No hard to rip out starter. jack her up, unbolt it, (make sure batt cables are removed already) Rip it out and test the starter motor with jumper cables to the battery. You will only need to touch it on the +ve (with the -ve earthing the starter) and see if its engaging and spinning at normal speed. If yes then put it back in and continue looking. -
w57 have mechanical speedo drive. You need to find an electric one from a cressida grande. either mx73 or 83 can't remember

whats the condition of your terminals? Are they dirty/corroded? Clean them up with a wire brush if they are dirty and then try. Make sure you bolt them up tight too. -
I'm guessing you didnt cut down the lux diff.

Impresses with the crossmember. How did you work out exactly where the motor should sit?

I'm making 200kw atw. no noticable chassis twist but i havent measured it. Its very possible it is twisting. Remember the more you strenghten the chassis the more snap over steer you can have (depending on driving style of course)
