  1. Brilliant. Might I ask what the interior work cost you?
  2. Fantastic. I've driven ke10s in the past that just love to snap sideways and wondered whether they would be to tail happy for drift. Have you managed to dial it in a bit better?
  3. Just putting it out there; I reckon you're lazy. It's a ke30 dude.
  4. You can tighten the box up if it's not screwed. Or upgrade to a ke20 which is beefier and likely easier to find ingood nick.
  5. Just a pointer, don't use silicon, use a non hardening gasket like Permatex number 5. Aand your sump bolts should be only slightly tighter than hand tight, it's very easy to pinch these gaskets.
  6. Tautology fail! I'm also interested in the lada, pics or ban. Saw a wicked lada in Salzburg last week.
  7. Nope that's just government propaganda suppressing free speech.
  8. A mate and I tried to buy an rx2 coupe off a dude he knew for 1500 bucks but he was humming and hah-ing. Ended up sold to another of his mates for 2500. That was 2003.... We should have pushed harder.
  9. Myself, my mate and his brother all had s3 blueys. One of them was spotless. All 3 of them had strange problems with indicators, every now and then they would just run the hazards on indicate. Simple fix: belt the dash just below the hazard switch. Also random problems with the idiot lights, just intermittently come on then randomly turn off some weeks later.
  10. Not huge on Wilbur smith, I've read a couple and they were good enough. Jack Higgins has some great ones, and I enjoyed the couple of Matthew Reilly ones I read also. Ice station was a good read.
  11. And they're really really knackered these days. Even a Perfect nick bluebird still has the shitty electrics and possibly the worst window mechanisms in the history of motoring.....
  12. Hooked on mark twain. Life on the Mississippi was good, read the Tradgedy of Pudd'nhead Wilson and am now reading the innocents abroad, a biographical recollection of a long trip to europe and the Mediterranean. I'm traveling right now and it's interesting to see that many things haven't changed about tourism in 150 years!
  13. Don't get me wrong, the German beers are good. But the British cask ales, wow, talk about selection! Man we hit new York yesterday... Went to a BBQ joint near time square. Their beer menu was crazy, there was no less than 5 IPAs on it, all microbrews. Looking forward to drinking here, th eyre got a huge microbrew industry.
  14. The most impressive bass I've seen was at the Gorillaz last year. Loads of it, from a massive speaker tower, but it was clean and the mixing was very balanced. There was just shitloads of sounds, it was amazing. Best gig ive seen in a long time.
  15. Maybe. Take a look at this pic, I reckon you could be ok. The idler arm is through the same axis as the steering box and the box is quite compact. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=31431
  16. Where do you find r100s in more plentiful supply than ke10s please pm me the details so I can book my car carrier! Seriously though, all the early factory rotors are rare as hell, especially ones that haven't been completely molested with a set of Simmons and a gaudy metallic painjob. As fare as KE corollas being rare, the only ones that are rare in Australia are the SL sprinters. Ke10s certainly aren't rare.
  17. Ive only seen one 4ac with twin sidedrafts and it was a custom made manifold for it. I don't think you can get them off the shelf.
  18. Wow, looks like Toyota is right behind encouraging people to mod these things. The american aftermarket is a huge industry so there could be some great prices on hot bits for these things.
  19. There are Aussie manufacturers if you're willing to foot the shipping cost. HM headers and Perry headers are the brands, I believe they're the same company these days. They're decent quality, I run them. I think about 250 Australian, which is about the same in USD
  20. I personally don't intend to ever look in this thread again lolz, hopefully other mods will keep it tidy....!
  21. Cos it's come up a couple of times lately, a fresh reminder that it's easier for me to blow a post away than it is to move it. If you can't be bothered reading and abiding by simple rules, I can't be bothered helping you find your missing post. Non Toyotas in the Toyota only thread are recent offenders.
  22. I reckon there's a ke20 I the us that's running a full ae86 rear end. I recall seeing pics of it many moons ago, and there were underbody pics of it which may help. I have also seen a ke20 race car at sand down running a 4 link, the trailing arms actually protruded inside the car and the front pivot mounts were in the rear foot wells. Probably not useful for a road car but you get the drift.
  23. You could have just said it came off a farm but no, the fact that it came off a pumpkin farm somehow makes it so much funnier. Steal of a price.
