You can buy it cheap from the uk.

That would be very high considering it has to connect with the lower radiator hose. I'm having it finished in gold once its all complete and tested, so rest assured it will look hot.
-
and I tried but I missed out on the altezza diff centre. bummer.

Or your gearbox isnt a T50 at all, you might have a k50 from a ke70 or ke55. Put some pics up and people will tell you what it is.

You might have a hydraulic clutch k-t50. If so, do a happy dance.

I flush fitted 2 velocity stacks into my bumper tonight for added ventilation. I will duct them through the radiator support once I find the right flexible hose. Need about 45mm hose. Looks pretty tricky actually, I will do 2 each side of the numberplate in the long term. Then it will be able to create a decent air stream into the engine bay and the scoop should let plenty of heat out.

Theres an auto slant front ke70 for sale whole there now apparently...$900

Doh, darn 4-a-sieze. :bash:

SOmeone posted something on dc once about a group a 4age ecu that had mechanical switches to go to different settings as far as timing advance, and fuel delivery goes. I believe this could be it. There were multiple tuning outcomes by combining different settings. Care to share your info?

Just ring me man, Ill be able to do more for you that way. What state are you in? Fill in your location so we know more about you. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Your better off making a decision and sticking with it until the bitter end. If already have the parts to build a hot 20v, do that. Its going to make almost twice the power of a stock bigport. I just hope you budgeted for a programmable ecu. You can use an adaptronic basic select, wolf 3d, haltech, it doesnt really matter as long as its not a microtech.

Yes there is no such thing as a silvertop Bigport. The 4age generations are like this: (basic terms anyhow) 1- Bigport (ae86 aw11 and ae82). 2- 7 rib bigport (not many made - crosses over in late ae82 and early ae92). 3- Smallport (ae9x series corolla). 4- Silvertop 20v (ae101 levin and trueno). 5- Blacktop 20v. (ae11 series levin and trueno). Along the way there were supercharged versions called 4agze. These were in AW11 MR2s(bigport) and ae92 levin (smallport). For all the finer points, google for Bill Sherwoods 4age page and read it all. Its extremely enlightening.

Hell give me 10k Ill do it for you. Ill even tune it.

Ive done it, your welcome to give me a call to discuss it. 0416 193 936. Ill even let you look over the car if you want. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/34338-20v-into-ae71/page__view__getnewpost

This is a special car man. :laff:

And I forgot to mention, I'm also bidding on an altezza diff centre, with 4.3 gears and a factory torsen lsd. I really need the lsd for the corona diff that will go behind this thing, and getting it would be very good as then I just need to sort the mounts on the housing and find some brakes. Ill most likely use st141 discs on the thing as they are the easiest conversion. Ill most likely sell the f series 4.3 gears and use the 3.9 gears I have so I can pull more speed in each gear with the torque.

Prepare to see a wild looking corolla, I won the a9x scoop. Gotta have a little piece of Brocky nostalgia or its not a fast car. :laff:
-
OK so I won the side flow celica radiator, and for the piddly sum of 143 dollars shipped, its a nice looking bit of kit.

Ive decided to go all out on the bonnet ventilation. I'm bidding on an a9x torana reverse scoop. I like the idea of using the low pressure area in front of the windscreen to draw air out of the bay, instead of just blasting air into it with no place to go. Ive also got some plastic fittings that I can mount on the front lip to ventilate more air through there. I just need some 65mm flexible hose to connect to them and I can fit it up. May as well use something from the same sort of era as the car. the a9x scoop is big, but ʞ©$ɟ it, you may as well go all out if your gonna do something. Hopefully its angular profile works with the car aswell.

Ive had a bid on a zr celica radiator, an aftermarket alloy one, hopefully I can win it and its perfect. Its side flow, meaning I will need a remote tank for the filler, but thats easy to setup. Might even get one from a celica to suit it. Its short enough and quite wide, so It should fit nice. I'm going to remove a little bit ofthe metal either side so the core can breath.

I think you should leave the first intercooler out and inject water/meth instead. You end up with less piping and a cooler charge with more pop.

Yeah and my girl came home ranting about how someone posted on facebook that if you can't read the test and need an interpreter you shouldn't be able to get a license to drive. I must say it sounded good to me. Cue argument. After my exposure to all the goons out there, I just wish the gopro was miraculously running when they hit it. I might have to record it when its standing still just incase anyone ʞ©$ɟs it over in future. How good would it be to have footage of a hit and run occuring. I wonder if I can get a device to trigger the gopro on motion sensing...

Seam Welding / Double Spot Welding Ke70 Daily
LittleRedSpirit replied to KE7T's topic in Automotive Discussion
It would be worth spot welding more around the strut towers, and the engine cross member could use some as well. Id leave the crumple areas as they are. Just try and do the key places that stiffen your suspension mounting points. I think bolt in braces are a good idea in most cases. my car handles a lot better with a towbar in it. Extra weight in the rear and more protection and stiffness as well. Its beneficial. I have ground the tongue off mine so its just a bar. -
The only extractors Ive ever seen for a 4ac were on american ebay.

Well that's a pretty achieveable conversion aside from the starter issue and the obvious fabrication of mounts, manifolds and wiring it. Did you mention if you were using a Toyota computer or aftermarket? Ill have to re-read. Did you end up cutting the block away to fit a starter in the traditional place in front of the bell housing or did you shave the bell out from the rear and mount it like a fwd starter? Got any more specific pics? What starter did you end up using? I assume with the 2s bellhousing the starter is supposed to be from the engine side and on the passenger side aswell? Id also assume in the fwd camry layout the starter is in the same spot but from the bellhousing side like a 2az, mz etc series camry. On the 2azfe the engine is pretty skinny and I was able to cut the block away enough for a starter without affecting anything. Id assume the v6 is a lot more limited in the places where you can fit the starter from the front, possibly necessitating the rear mount starter?
