dfunkt replied to SoulSearcher's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
umm, i think you're looking for aglet there jip :bash: -
lol nobbler, that's just me, everyone else has no probs HAHA
-
lol webers, don't you know about HP bonuses... i'll try and nut out the list i use: half cage = +50 full cage = +100 shopping list = +0.5 per item per side car name/company on windshield = +10 performance arm of company on windshield = +20 car name/company on rear window = +5 performance arm of company on rear window = +10 all other car/product stickers = +2 each full sticker kit = unknown/too much all of these are ATW too :drgrim::D
-
i believe this company is the one you're looking for parrot :drgrim: good to see you joined the right forums too :lolcry: this is who i'll be buying mine from when the ke20 gets its makeover dF
-
stu, i grabbed the safety requirements from their website, and added them to the first post. this should be good for all.
-
just bring the diff to the gearbox, cut out the middleman :drgrim::D good to hear it's 'close' to being legally on the road
-
well the exhaust is on now, still noisy as hell, but with it coming out behind you instead of underneath you :rolls: need to trim the outlet to make it legal, also might fix my rear window to be permanently shut... installed the gear boot from the coupe, had to drill some screw holes to fit it properly, no more exhaust gases or rocks coming in anymore. fixed up a vacuum leak i had (cheers nobbler) and will be going over everything again in a few days time to track down some more (if it has more) still need to adjust the timing a bit, possibly get a new dizzy cap cos it's still got a bit of a miss :drgrim: also havn't been to vicroads yet to get the engine numbers changed. found i don't have a thermostat in it atm, will be hunting down my old 4k one and throwing that in there on sunday. oh, and pics will be coming....someday :lolcry: cheers dF might try and get some of the boys around and have a day in.
-
ok everyone, i think we all need to slow down the posting rate in the vic section, i don't think it's ever seen this much activity HAHA :drgrim: but seriously, it's good to see everyone jumping on board at this early stage. does anyone have a problem with the dates proposed atm?? can i safely pencil in the 29th Feb as the night this'll be happening, with the 7th of March as a back-up incase of bad weather? or would the 7th March with the 14th as back-up be better... cheers dF
-
lol stu, i don't think he could've had that thing any higher... not without a 2" body lift anyway HAHA :drgrim: and that does look much better now too poz, just needs a coat of BRGreen and some chrome bumpers...oh, and an engine that runs, not including flintstone power :lolcry:

Differences Between Ke35 And Ke55 Coupes?
dfunkt replied to gemi_coupe's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
yeah, you can get the 55's with round and square, but the 35 only had round... unless you're jip, then you make a 35 have square lights! -
Differences Between Ke35 And Ke55 Coupes?
dfunkt replied to gemi_coupe's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
they are the early coupe lights, they go with the round headlights. (ke35) the square front lights have different tail lights (ke55) -
Differences Between Ke35 And Ke55 Coupes?
dfunkt replied to gemi_coupe's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
size and shape they are yes, the chassis is the same between them both. and i *think* the front guards are the same for all ke3x and ke5x -
i just put a stock (afaik) 5k into my ke20...you can feel it wanting to pull you as you cruise around at the limit. when it was in the ke35 coupe, it was still amazing how quickly it picked up speed.

like slapper ^^^ i can only give info on ke2x and 3x/5x i pickup up a ke35 running a 5k and extractors with 2" exhaust. i put the 5k and extractors into my ke20 recently, and while the exhaust had no chance of fitting the ke20's floor pan, the extractors do fit. i've recently had an exhaust made to fit the ke20's pan. the extractors were shortened a little bit because the outlet was angled toward the passenger side. they were cut before the bend, so now they finish in a straight line. dF

^^^^^ seconded...it's really distracting trying to play my gf's DS when that ad comes on:P
-
pistons are about the only thing that doesn't worry kickn5k... i'd say find a secondary shell to put a bike powerplant in...that way you can keep the 5kZ and still have a turbo'd 'busa
-
check out the rides & projects thread for some other ke30-55's that have ca18's in them, most people have pics of the stuff they've needed to do to the body and everything else.
-
i think that is more accurate stu
-
congrats on the sale roosa...i was trying to talk the gf into buying it for herself :y: i don't think your corolla would be a fair match for the majorty of us, but it would be great to see what it could do, here's hoping all goes smoothly with the engineering and conversion. stu, i'm sure we could race side by side, and i'm sure that you'd beat me, but i wouldn't care...cos mine has "the hektik side-pipe bruzza" HAHA ROLF can you try and get webers, poz (if the ca18 4x4 is running) and shane out here also... hmm, will they let us run 3 wide?! 2 5k ke20's and a ke11 5k would be hilarious down calder... dF

ok, this is a fair way away, and we have the GOR before it as well... ;) BUT ... i would like to test out my lil 20 since it's finally got the new heart i'd promised it months ago. and i'm sure there are a few others around that would like to see what they can do in their own lil beasties :y: so i'm proposing that we could do it as a group, all meet up somewhere on a friday arvo/evening/night, and then head on out to calder park for their legal off-street drags. gates open at 5pm with racing starting at 6pm...now i know people work and stuff during the day, and others work nights, so i'm hoping to have the date set sometime before the GOR run so that you all can take a day/shift off work and come on out. :y: as it stands, the night's i'm thinking are the 29th of feb, or the 7th of march...with the latter being "ladies night" where each competitor can bring in a lady friend for free :bash: now, the only reason you shouldn't be attending is: A- you are out of the country B- your car is dead C- you are dead thank you for your time... dF Safety Stuff (from their website)

^^^ a socket set with a 100mm extension bar should do the job on the manifolds...can get to the bolts directly if you go straight at them. i've taken mine on and off about 3 times in the last 2 weeks ;)
-
i have a feeling there's a story under that statement.... *wait quietly*

the reason there's heaps of datsun ones is that no-one owns a datsun, or wants to own one...less cars, more manuals... :lolcry:

took it out for a drive last nite to nobblers...it wasn't so much a drive, more like a jackhammer with wheels! so bloody noisy with just extractors, makes no power without a heap of revs, and it's got a miss also :lolcry: changing the leads and plugs to try and get rid of it. it's booked in for saturday morning at 8am to get its pipes hooked up...should be some sort of drivable by lunchtime. it's gonna be one hell of a trip to the exhaust shop, 40kms of pure noise, i think i'll be putting ear plugs in and possibly ear muffs over them to drown out the noise :fuzz:
