  1. i believe my combined trip = 10.45l/100km...errr...running rich anyone? My Trip - 1006km, $140 Fuel, 105 litres...
  2. Impressive work so far mate... are you in contact with Michael (Eviltwin) - he's doing a very similar conversion at the moment
  3. I Think it was the type of bitumen they use in Port fairy - higher than average oil base...
  4. Hey Boys and Girls. Just got home. Big Thanks to Jarrad and Mel for once again, a really great cruise. FYI, we went down skenes creek....no/very little/courteous traffic = AWESOME...untill i got to the bottom and realised that i was in fact fully laden, and the esky had decided to empty its contents into my boot. but apart form that, nice drive home... Also, great to meet/see everyone again
  5. Right...that makes sense....might want to amend the info post...if we all park up at maccas, you can access it from behind the servo (head for the back of the servo, next to the car wash...)
  6. So we're meeting in front of Coles in Waurn Ponds? if this is the case, people must turn into Pioneer Rd, then take a right into the shopping centre. you can't access it from the princes hwy...

  9. Hey johno - you could always drop by mine, and i can take you there...not really a stretch for me...
  10. there are some lovely roads up that way...well, heading closer to bright anyway...could even make it a 2 day cruise and camp one of the nights...make sure you bring a friend though...could be cool...
  11. +1 - Exedy Sports Organic clutches...are...well, they just slip. Not bad - you can abuse them all day, but they just slip when you change gear. Heavy Duty all the way....
  12. Howdy Leah, welcome to the club. These lens's are available as an non genuine order in item through any supercheap auto. I'll get back to you on prices, but they generally take about 3 working days to come in. That or try and hit up a wrecker for some. Cheers Andrew
  13. Ask JiP :| He'll know - or have a good idea about it if he doesn't...
  14. Lorne has BP 95 - but is about 10 cents higher than anywhere else... Apollo bay is probably very similar (i never did check when i was there in November). I do believe Anglesea has Optimax. Colac should have what ever you need...
  15. Howdy- That would make alot of sense - given the torquay guys can turn left onto mt duneed rd, head up there till it intersects Anglesea road, then head towards geelong - round the roundabout, then first right at the lights and your there...
  16. second question...where in waurn ponds? the Homemaker centre? with bunnings/sca or the PB before that? the new ring rd skirts around geelong now and currently finishes at the hamilton highway- with on ramps/off ramps to ballarat rd, baccus marsh rd and the like. it also feeds directly from the freeway, thus cutting out about 17 sets of the most tedious traffic lights in the state (i sware to hunt downt he city planner responsible for traffic light sequencing). but from the sightseeing perspective, it does make sense.
  17. the question is, which way are people heading down - with the introduction of the ring road, its quicker to go via the hamilton highway, and far less stressful too...could always meet at the servo's at avalon, then head from there... This route doesn't even include the ring road - and it was the one that came up first...
  18. Fish burgers? :(
  19. Dude - Your Ford is about to shit a corolla...or give birth...or a corolla drove into your boot... :(
  20. Is the C50 any weaker than the C52? - I was under the impression it was only longer in gearing
  21. HAHAHA...thought you had it pretty sweet there for a while...oh well...just stack it all neatly in the back - and of course, make a map as to where you put everything, or stack them into areas hehe
  22. Heh, i'm with you on that one too...although when i do get hold of some of those ae10x rears, i'll upgrade the fronts again too...
  23. We are indebted to your great efforts with this Jon, Cheers :y:
  24. PRB used to quote 2 different listings for the master cylinder. Supposedly, the SX (discontinued) one was of a larger bore. When I did my conversion, I did change mine, but PBR's listings also state that the standard M/Cyl is appropriate for Disc/Disc setups. My advice would be to fit it, assuming its still in working order. I believe there is a small difference in the Bias-ing between the Disc/Drum, Disc/Disc - but for the most part you wont notice it too much... however, open to corrections again....
  25. Vented rotor wont fit under the original calipers due to a) caliper is 18mm thick, opposed to 13mm think solid rotor - err, think square peg round hole. and b), if by some chance it miraculously did fit (and rotate), the pad would be positioned too far out - not the best for wear, and the like. Just fit the s1 calipers - there was a reason they were fitted to twinky's and s1 ge's - they wouldn't have done it if they weren't better than the base braking system...
