  1. I really really want to go on this!!!! Have had heaps of stuff go down of late which is making it look impossible, will think about it overnight and if I am even 50/50 I will just pay the deposit and risk losing it I guess
  2. Ok so there was a cruise on the Sunday night just gone. Was nice to get out and see some fresh old school rides. Here are my pics - bit crap but I was too busy admiring the rides  Add yours up if you were there
  3. I logged in to get a message which says the video has been removed. Thread FAIL I want that 30 seconds of my life back
  4. Sorry to hear of your bad luck. This is why I work on my own cars..... and with Corollas they are piece of piss to work on
  5. This is the brand I bought for my KE20. They seem to be alright the exhaust guy had no issues with them fitting around all the steering gear etc.
  6. Geez these things look rad in orange
  7. +1 Having used the search function a number of times to find info on here it is frustrating to find several threads on the same issue which all have such varying information in them. Maybe once a general consensus is agreed upon on how to do something (ie 5k into KE1x) then the first post is edited with the relevant correct information. It wastes quite a bit of time reading a whole thread sometimes only to get to the end of 5 pages none the wiser on what to do. We should really strive to have the correct technical information available to users. I know I know its not as easy as it sounds
  8. What backing plate are you using?? There may be a reason why everywhere I read it says to use KE30 backing plates
  9. Ok I'm considering putting a 7KC into my KE20. I want to hear from people who have done it. What is required? ps. yes I have searched and not found any definitive answers
  10. Ryan, I'll let my old mate neighbour give the report.... he came and saw me shortly after you left. I straight away thought here we go again!! He just said "damn I didn't think Corollas could do THAT!!!" This car goes alright kids and whatever that cam is that is in there, I want one!! Lumpy as shit at idle and the power comes on strong and smooth. :y:

SNAP I wondered whether that was you in the wagon. Wags will make a good summer rig!!
  12. Just a few more pics for you all
  13. More pics of the Golf thanks
  14. What do you mean by "pull in"?? This is potentially a much easier way to convert stud pattern without having to source jap axles out of a 30 etc... rather just throwing in a complete diff. This is why I am quite interested in how you did it.
  15. So does the KE55 diff bolt straight in?? Is it just a bit wider?
  16. Just thinking about it some more... it can't be fuel supply related because the car wouldn't run at all. My money is still on the fuel cut solenoid. Check this http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Tech:Engine/K_Series/4kstall
  17. I had a similar issue and it was related to the coil. Might pay to try another. My car would miss at different times and most certainly would not idle when this was happening. You are probably not getting enough spark. Either that or your idle fuel solenoid isn't activating properly... has the connector dropped off or is the wire broken somewhere. This is shown in the FAQ section. I would say being a 30 it would have a fuel cut solenoid.
  18. +1 for attempting to get there

Spotted a butterscotch KE20 in Golden Grove this morning - seen it round the area a few times Iz Nice!!!!
  20. Chobis - all good! Crowie55 - cheers for the kind words mate. As for the dent its ok I just wish people were more honest.... Finally.... a teaser pic for all of you nosey parkers and sticky beaks!! Nothing much else been happening with the car just enjoying it as a daily. Will get some more love during Christmas break from work
  21. From what I have read they were a dealer option back in the day
  22. Yesterday morning it was misfiring like crazy!!! Tried the choke - no luck. Bit the bullet and replaced the coil when I got home in the afternoon. Awesome town  Even in the warmer weather the car feels more responsive, sounds beefier and just all round better. Oh what a feeling :laff: It pulls hard up a hill in 5th that I used to have to drop back to 4th for  This morning was cold and no misfire. Fingers crossed that was the issue. Thanks for the help lads
  23. Damn that's fresh Haydn!! I want to bring my sandwich I have for lunch over so I can eat it off your shiny bonnet :D How did you get that bumper so shinnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy???
  24. I'm considering going in it with the '20. Just have to finish some stuff off on it over Christmas.... We could all roll over there together?
  25. Thanks guys for all your suggestions. The coil and ballast resistor will be the only parts I haven't replaced so might give them a shot if it keeps happening. It has all new leads, plugs, points, rotor button, cap, etc. I had thought of pulling the choke out to see if it goes away, but alas the last two mornings it has been a little warmer and the misfire has not shown up. Next time it happens though I am going to test it with the choke.
