  1. A KE36 wagon (2dr+rear hatch) should fit. Has the longer doors. https://pin.it/1Emv5yh
  2. What tyre size and diff ratio you running? With 185/60/14 tyres and 4.1:1 ratio diff my speedo reading is pretty close with the GPS up to 100km/hr.
  3. Did this end up in NSW? https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/moruya/cars-vans-utes/ke17-toyota-sprinter-corolla/1290141966
  4. Cool, was it the SR model with the 3KB twin carbs?
  5. I'm doing some test fitting of RA60 struts converted to coilovers. Top photo is with stock KE30 struts and lowered King springs. Only lowered by ~20mm. Space between the top of the tyre and the top of the wheel arch is around 50mm. Bottom photo is RA60 struts cut 40mm, with Otomoto HSD coilover sleeve kit, and KYB front MR2 shocks. Wind down to lowest setting. I also had the issue of putting the RA60 strut onto the lower ball joint thread. So I got around it by installing RCAs (50mm), printed in PETG filament at 30% infill for test fitting.
  6. Interesting work. Did you have an MS Excel output of the flow data, Valve Lift vs CFM? Was thinking of putting it into a program like Engine Analyzer Pro and compare power curves for different camshaft profiles.
  7. OK, yeah there is more room with the strut towers being wider at the top. Could have the carbs on a slight angle as well (<5°). I would be interested in how it all goes.
  8. OK, interesting. There really isn't much room to make a more direct runner path for a Weber DCOE manifold with the slant of the engine and the strut tower. There is the option of uprighting the K engine like here: https://www.rollaclub.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tech:Engine/K-Series/TRD_Uprite_Kit Or there's another option with a IDA/IDF Weber manifold pictured here: https://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/74171-k-inlet-manifold-for-2x-downdrafts-carbs/
  9. What 3D scanner do you have? What improvements are you thinking of making to the manifold?
  10. Link to Wade Camshafts catalogue (Cam-Cat) on OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aj2zbFfaIELNhFrF9FN3s9VHmFuJ?e=Hrc1mU Catalogue program contained in setup.zip. Open the zip file and run the SETUP application to install. Run the Cam-cat application. Type in corolla or 4k in the Make and Model box and all the 3k-4k camshaft profiles are listed with their detailed specs. Can do for 4age and 2tg etc. as well. There's heaps of profiles. Can click on the View List button to view all the camshaft profile specs in pages. Can also print out the Time Card. Clivecams can grind these profiles: https://www.clivecams.com.au/
  11. Easiest way would be to find a 2TGEU EFI manifold: https://www.toymods.org.au/forums/threads/50708-3tc-conversion-to-efi-turbo-rebuild http://www.3tcgarage.com/viewtopic.php?t=1266 https://www.dorikaze.net/showthread.php?20623-The-Mung-Blue!-Revisited https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV7_Izbq7Vk If your refreshing the engine I reckon it's worth finding a 3TC block for the extra displacement.
  12. Nice work, must of been hard getting in at different angles with the tig. What amps did you have it set at?
  13. What seat belt brand did you guys get? Any comments on fitment and quality?
  14. Yeah I've replaced most of the bushes, installed idler arm, tide rod ends, kings springs, camber tops, and new tyres and rims with wheel balance and alignment and still got the shimmy at 60-70Km/hr. What's next is new shocks, bearings, front swaybar bushes and lower ball joints. Hopefully it will go away. Are you going to improve on the McPherson strut design, or tackle a double wishbone suspension conversion?
  15. I got some T3 KE30 adjustable camber tops as well. Did you end up lowering the suspension at the front with lower springs or coilovers?
  16. Yeah, the rx4 calipers have been good for a while now. I did take some photos of the setup, have to find them. Just needed new brake hoses to the calipers going from Toyota to Mazda, and drill out the caliper mounting holes on the strut (same bolt spacing). I had to file a bit of material from the calipers to clear the hub.
  17. OK, I'm looking into widening the bolt spacing on the KE30 steering knuckles out to 90mm to bolt them to the RA60 struts. Thinking of either welding and re-drilling them, or add inserts and put the locating dowels in. What camber did you end up with? Did you use the Pajero master cylinder with a 1" bore? At the moment I'm running a 0.75" 75-series Tildon master cylinder without a vacuum booster, along with RX4 calipers/slotted KE30 rotors. Needed space with the 3TC with twin carbs.
  18. Hi Banjo, did everything work out for you in the end?
  19. I think this guy make some mounts for a 3rz into a ke30: I think I saw it on rollaclub facebook a while back. The 3rz engine seems long for a 4 cylinder. Looks like there's not much room for the radiator/fan when I compared the Hiliux and Corolla.
  20. OK, yeah liteaces with 5k engines here seem pretty rare now. I think those boxes are around 600mm across. Might be worthwhile to get a shipping container full, but the import fees would add up.
  21. Seen many Tamaraw vans around over there Jeremy? They used to be quite common; used as taxis. They've got a 5K engine.
  22. The price of 4k engines have gone up a bit. Bought one a while ago for $50. Lately I got one for $100, negotiated down from $150. Have seen them advertised for much more. 5k engines are the hardest to find, probably easier to find a 7k.
  23. I checked the rego status here with HIP51: https://www.service.transport.qld.gov.au/checkrego/public/Welcome.xhtml?windowId=6e3 but it's not coming up. Maybe the plate number has changed. There is a vin search, but only for cars made after 1989.
