Ok so I have a bit of spare time off over xmas/new year so going to finally take the KE55 off the road and start ripping in to the motor and starting the rebuild. I have a spare 4k that I am going to be swaping out the original motor for while I work on it just in case I need to use the rolla to get around. This build is going to be a bit drawn out (simply due to lack of time and low budget), but I need to get most of the major internal mods done to the motor asap as we are losing our company cars not long into the new year which means the rolla will be my daily driver. To help keep costs down, and because I love doing it, I am going to be doing most of the work …

Hey I bought the car in great condition about 6 months ago of an old bloke in the blue mountains. since then i have not done anything major to the car yet (apart from getting hit by another car :hmm: ) iv'e just been doing little things to make it look nicer (e.g. lowering the car, respraying the grill, air filter, stereo, sprayed the rims black...) After the crash i bought another ke30 from a wreckers in blacktown, i got the whole car (without engine and box) for $350 so was pretty happy with that. so thats what i have been using for parts (e.g. bonnet, radiator support, grill, front spoiler...) but i don't have a front bummper yet, if anyone is selling one please …

Hey All, Decided to create a build page to hopefully keep myself inspired. So story is 4agte into KE30. This is not my first build however as I am pulling out my 4A from my ae92 build to go rwd. Engine has been completely rebuilt a few years back and I have done maybe 1,000km on it and had trouble with the charger so stopped driving it. So loom pulled, just need to do fluids and driveshaft’s and I’m ready to lift. At this stage the 30 is pretty rough needs paint etc, but wanna mount up engine and drive for a bit, break a few stock diffs then do it all properly. Here’s where I’m at.

Hey guys, I am currently vacationing in Thailand (from Canada) and while out bombing around on a scooter the wife and I saw this car for sale and ended up buying it. I expect to get it back in Canada in about 7-8 weeks from now. I been trying to find the exact model I have but all the pictures I find look just a little bit different than the car I have. All I know for sure is it is a 1975 Corolla, we drove it around for a day and it is a blast to drive. Both the wife and I are big into car shows in Canada and neither of us have seen one quite like this. I stumbled across this forum while google searching to try and determine exactly what I bought and figured you g…

I see a lot of threads that say "my KE30 or KE20" How do I find out what mine is? I got a 1600cc engine and its a 2 door. 5 speed. Thanks for the comments!

Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of guidance more than anything from some of you that have been there and done it all in the Corolla scene. I'm new to Oz and old school Japanese motors, we don't get too many back home. I've set my sights on a Corolla from Circa 75-80 but don't know too much about what I should be looking for in terms of the usual mechanical issues and rust spots etc....any help here would be great. I'm also interested to know what models other people prefer, for whatever reason, handling, ease of engine conversion etc etc. At the moment I'm looking at two sedans a 77' KE30 and an 80' KE55 - with any luck I'll be the proud of my own 'roll…

Hey all, New to the forum so firstly would like to say hi  I just bought myself a KE70 slope front corolla for $400, runs great and has the 4 speed manual, has a 1.3 engine with ''hi cam'' badges on it  Its got its fare share of rust, in behind the rear bumper and in the rear wheel arches, luckily i have half an idea on what I'm doing so i have made this little thing my project car. The car itself has every reciept spent on it from day one and has been a local car from brand new, and the car has only done 153,xxx kilometres!!! The interior is okay for an old car, no cracks in the dash or anything so thats a plus. So anyways, my futur…

Also has SP Tec dizzy relocation kit. Running standard ECU. - Ebay spec alloy radiator with standard AE111 thermo mounted - W55 and my short shifter - Button clutch - T18 T series - 1L surge tank - Bosch 070 - VDO VL lift pump I've already thrown the suspension and brakes from the beige car into it so that's - BC coilovers up front, 8kg springs - AE86 hubs - ADM AE86 brakes (Cheers again Rian) - AE86 PS knuckles …

Hi guys, Well I logged into Ebay one Sunday afternoon and found this old girl. It was love at first sight. I went and looked at it Monday, not as good in the flesh but still worth a crack. I bidded and won ;) Here are the Ebay pics, more pics to come when I clean her up for All Japan Day. Come down and see her there in all her stock unmolested glory. Well... I've bought myself a Ke35 Coupe. It's an auto. I've decided to make my own thread because I felt like I was Hi-Jacking Josh's Van thread. Plans: So far, to get it started and running, then Cut & Polish, and park it in the backyard. So far I don't have any plans, I still need to check the car inside out. The car has an Immaculate "Grandma Spec" Cream Vinyl Interior with 45,000kms on the clock. The car appears to be RUST FREE all round (that we know of). It has a Mild 5K and a full set of ORIGINAL Hub Caps. Now come the pics of the Car from Josh's thread. Interior pics will come soon. Cheers Woz :y:

Hey guys, due to some deliberation on my part I'm not using my orig rolla for a engine swap, want to keep it as a runaround so now I'm chasing another rolla, pref 2 door, does not need engine/gearbox, interior condition not bid deal (will be stripped) only concern is that it is basically rust free and straight. Live on the sunshine coast but can travel to get it. Thanks, Nathan *sorry mods wrong forum can you please move? ;)*

Hey guys, I'm 16 and i get my P plates in approx 10 months LOL; i know its a long time from now, but i figured this was a wagon that was just impossible to refuse! I saw it parked on the side of the road, asked the guy if he was interested in selling it, he was an old asian man and thought if i paid enough, he'd sell me it :) and i guess, for under 2k, you can't go wrong with this! It came with Rego till Aug, brand new brakes, reconditioned engine, 6 months ago, and the rest, 100% stock! Anyways, enough talking, heres a few pictures:) The day i picked the babey up! After a quick wash! The interior :) From the ugly dirty brakes to the bright yello…

So my memory was jogged after seeing Teddy's new supra, that i have always wanted to own a MA70/71. I've always loved the shape and the stance of them on the road, plus the fact you don't see many of them anymore. I started looking around for one, and promptly found a few interstate, but wasnt really interested in plane fares and costs involved of buying an interstate car. So i kept looking and eventually stumbled across one for sale on the side of a major rd in brisbane not far from where i live. I stewed on it for a couple of weeks before asking my brother what he thought of the car i was thinking about putting a deposit on. It was a Red 1989 MA70 7M Auto Single tu…

Hi everyone, This is my KE70 Panel Van. I bought it two years ago knowing a little about cars, I saw a picture of it and it was exactly what my dad used to drive for many years, actually his was an AE71 pano but same same. Me and my mates used to meet up during the week and just stuff around with our cars because we had too much time on our hands. They convinced me to do the engine conversion. $600 for the Panno. The tailgate was completely full of rust, me and my mate ABSOLUTELY WINGED fixing the rust and it looks amazing, I wish I had a before and after, I still don't have an after because I always forget to take a picture of the tailgate. The passenger d…

So since my JZX100 is still waiting on panels from Japan I snapped up this KE70 thats registered until next year. 4K-C with Aircon 5 Speed Manual Rust in boot lip, corners and a bit around front window. (Really shitty bog attempt made) Plan will be to daily the hell out of this until the Mark II is on the road and upgraded. After that will be dropping a 20V 4AGE into the car because being in Darwin, Don't need engineering to do it :D (As far as I'm aware). Soon incoming is new interior, mirrors and sound system. Also spraying some black around the windows because I want to. Good thing about not caring about the condition at the moment is I can entertain m…
