Hi all, I have this nice beauty of a car, good old ke55 4 door sedan. Nice Toyota yellow with a mint condition interior. 4k-c engine with k40 gearbox. Been doing my own bits and pieces here and they're. Plus some added mods to give me classic extra grunt that is so much needed. So far I have - converted the the front grille from square to round plus added in some 7" Halo's wired up to my parkers. I'd bought the grille 2nd hand and gave it a good clean and paint. Plus remove/ fix dents and polish the chrome. - Added a set of 15" pos 8+ rims for style and over killed the tyres by getting bridgestones re003. Oh well. - next went with 4-1 e…

So after my Skyline getting defected and it's slow transformation into something I'd want to drive ended. I decided I needed some new wheels. So, I went to look at a few BA's around the 8k mark and they were all pigs and the AU is butt ugly. I've always had a soft spot for the EF/EL's especially the XR. And when this came up at a caryard just down the road I almost creamed my pants. It's a EF Fairmont kitted up like a XR with all the XR goodies. With my first chance on the monday morning I took the car for a drive, had my bank loan approved within a couple of days and picked it up on the friday night. Since then it hasn't been all smooth sailing. My fuel pump re…

For the passed 5 years I have dailyd my 36 wags. Was long overdue for some love but between living out of home and working full time it never quite got the love it deserved. Thanks to COVID I didn’t have to worry about either of those things. So, here’s a pretty comprehensive list of all the work I’ve done over the passed couple of months. Only a couple things left to do to the rear springs then I’m sorted. Note I’m not a mechanic at all, just a hobby. Had to pop her in for a rust quote the other day. Hopefully it doesn’t stop my heart. Thanks! 08/04/2020 - new leads - new spark plugs - new spark plug seals - new rotor - new coil …

Hey guys, due to some deliberation on my part I'm not using my orig rolla for a engine swap, want to keep it as a runaround so now I'm chasing another rolla, pref 2 door, does not need engine/gearbox, interior condition not bid deal (will be stripped) only concern is that it is basically rust free and straight. Live on the sunshine coast but can travel to get it. Thanks, Nathan *sorry mods wrong forum can you please move? ;)*

We’re finally beginning to get back into doing some work on the cars. First priority is getting my ke30 club car going. Today Rob and I managed to tidy up some wiring in the engine bay and remove the majority of some very hard cracked paint and rust from the bootlid. Obviously there’s still a lot more work to be done, including some more much dreaded sanding tomorrow, but we’re making progress. forgot to take a pic of the bootlid before I started, but this pic is after hours of scraping and sanding :/ it looked like dry cracked mud prior!

Hi everyone. New here. My name's Steve and this is my first corolla. I've heard a few times over the years that these cars are special. Now I own one I see why. This one cost me $750 and had no rear muffler and a smashed windscreen, which is getting fixed Thursday, but even the few drives I've had in it have me smiling and wanting to get it back to its best. The body is rough with a few dents and scrapes etc but there is no rust to speak of and it's mechanically great at this point. Please I'd love to hear advice, tips, knowledge etc that anyone can share with me as this car is going to be around a while and I want it to be great. (My 2yr old daughter has alrea…

It's gonna need some fender flares to keep the front tires from rubbing, so if anyone has any suggestions on what to go with for that would be spectacular.

G'day everyone, New to the forum and thought id share my KE70 that I inherited from my Wifes late Aunty. She purchased it brand new from the local Toyota dealer and daily drove it during the 80's and 90's. Towards the end of her driving career she had a few accidents in it and gave up her license 10yrs ago. It sat in her garage up until I was lucky enough to be given it. I've owned it for 3yrs and daily drove it for 12months before parking it up and forgetting about it. After a couple years of not using it, it got a little neglected and the usual rust etc has got worse and its time to give it some TLC. I'll keep this thread updated when I do more work to it …

Hey all, this is my 1978 TE51 Corolla SR5. I Bought her from a college student in 2012 as a running project. I drove her for a few years and then I parked her about 2 years ago to begin restoring her. She’s was in fair shape, the kid had used her as a shop class project and threw a hilarious paint job on it. Dark blue metallic with baby blue metallic flames from the front to mid Hood and a set of racing stripes on the roof and hatch. She was an ugly old pig and my dad made the joke “that cars so ugly it can’t be a girl” so I called my old Corolla, “Gary” Once I began tearing to down for rebuild I decided she could once again be referred to as a girl again since the sweet …

Wanted to show off a previous toy I once had. It's a 1981 Toyota Cressida with a mild Holden 308ci V8. Crane cam, Edelbrock manifold, Holley 600. Worked Trimatic, and Ford 9 inch diff to suit. Hilux struts, front brakes and calipers, Ford drums rear. Had a 2 & 3/4inch exhaust (so it was loud). And it attracted plenty of attention. Surprisingly plenty of it good attention. I once got let off for doing a burnout in a shopping center car park. The Police Officer was more interested in the car than what I had just done. I also got death threats from a Porsche 911 owner, who, I easily hosed down. I was assured by QLD Main Roads that the car could be regist…

So, I bought another ke10.. This now makes 4 ke1x chassis cars I own currently haha I'm not 100% sure of it's outcome currently but I bought it anyway.. the shell is quite rusty in the front and the rear end has had a lot of crash damage in the rear end and as a result has a lot of bog and misalignment.. I believe I'll use this a donor for my other green sedan.. see what happens!

This is my ke30, owned her for 5 years and got me threw college as a collision tech. ... I bought it as a running project and every daily I had failed in one way or another but not my rolla! When there was 2 feet of snow on the ground she got me to work ( Ofcourse with falcon street tires I blew every stop light that winter in fear of not moving again) I'm now in a better position and want to take care of her as she did me. Very solid, very reliable... Lots to improve. Just got all guages to work and cleaned up engine bay.
