  1. Yep just like the last one he winged about being deleted. Obviously hasn't realised himself why its a pointless exercise. ;)
  2. Might be better off putting this in the Vic section mate. Let me know if you want me to move the thread for you? ;)
  3. If you're having a go at Evan Jono, then I going to back him up. In this instance.... ....is 100% correct!! ;) If either of you REALLY want to find out what your cars are worth - Put them on the market!!! I don't mean to sound like a smart arse but thats just how it is. Another thing you need to except RIGHT NOW about modifying cars Jono is you'll NEVER get back what you spent on them. Its just a fact of life. You don't see (for aguments sake) a KE70 full of A J P S parts go for the average price of a KE70 + the total RRP of all the parts in it do you! You pay the average price of the KE70 + more like 1/4-1/2 of what the A J P S bits cost. If you don't like this reality then stop modifying your car now and just enjoy it how it is. Man, I've spent probably close to $20K on my mazda to date...... and I know I'm not going to ever get that back. Yet in the next 10 years I'll probably pour another $10k into it!! You just do it for the love of modding cars.
  4. At the risk of soundling like a room full of overpayed pollies..... .....HERE HERE!!!!!
  5. Yeah they do have torque to yeild bolts TRD. Mate of mine was putting a new head gasket on a 4AGE once and was asking me about the "torque to XXnm, then add another 1/4 turn". ....however APR kits for 4A's are pretty easily attainable. ;)
  6. If you sold the sidies on the 5k now you could buy yourself another ECU (or use that digi and get a better one for the 2tg) and a supercharger and still have spare change!!! ;)
  7. Don't use the actual 5k head bolts, use some 3k or 4k ones. I can't remember the exact reason but the 5k ones are similar to 'torque to yeild' bolts and the threads can stretch. 3/4k ones don't. I find it a bit hard to believe you can't get a genuine 5k gasket through Toyota. Did you ask for a KM36 liteace HG or were you asking them for a '5k head gasket for a corolla'? If you said corolla thats where they may have got confused. We actually have a member here who works in a Toyota parts department in my home city. I'll PM you his username. Maybe try sending him a message and ask for the part number (as I know he knows what they are - He ordered me one 18 months ago) then contact your local Toyota parts department and tell them you want a P/N XXXXX. ;) And like I've told you before, if you want to boost this motor I would also recommend sourcing some ARP head studs for piece of mind. ;)
  8. ...... and hence why your last thread with the same question would have been deleted. The admin/mods have been getting a little sick of these types of threads. Its not far off being an EOI (expression of interest) for sale thread really. Carry on..... but don't come sooking to us if you don't like what other might say about it.
  9. +1 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WILWOOD-BRAKE-PROPO...=item2a062099b1 Seems a whole lot cheaper and easier to me!
  10. Only you can make the decision to keep and finish or sell. As for selling - "Its only worth what someone is willing to pay". [/story]
  11. I remember hearing that soaking them in deisel was good for extra smokey burnouts, not so much to soften the tyres. I'll just stick with my semi slicks I think!! :blinks:
  12. I bet ya he hoiked up his pants and high tailed it out of there pretty quick too when he saw the evo go wheels up!! I know I wouldn't be standing around to argue the fact with the driver!! :blinks:
  13. Ah I'm with ya now. I always forget you've even got that car still. Just keep building that one as the 2tgzue and build this one as a 5kze!!! :blinks:
  14. Added as a 1.36 :blinks:
  15. Some of those UAE 4'bies are just rediculous. Most people would have seen the patrol/cruiser/whatever beating that lambo. Here's another supercar flogger.... :blinks: ...... In true arab style with people on the side of the road.
  16. And just blow into the sidies? The Peurto Rican's don't seem to have any issues doing so with 8-9 second turbo T motors.
  17. Trash can. .....Can anybody help my wire my explosive vest.

    Rally Starlet

I can see Starlet rally vids! Whats your problem?
  19. Are the 5000's still adjustable like the 9000's? And how much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking?
  20. In theory your right. But how and you going to prime the system so the fuel can start flowing out of THE TOP of the '30 tank!?
  21. There'd be no way in hell thats the case. a 4/5k sump is deeper than a 3k one becasue of the increased stroke. 7k has a bigger stroke again so that why I can't see you having a 3k sump on it.
  22. 20kw pfft. :blinks: I didn't really notice a whole lot of difference between my 4ktc and 5ktc setups to be honest! 4AGE.......
  23. haha we'll have to start calling you a "temporary australian" like a crutch rocket rider then!! JK. Nice cars, I've never been in one so you'll have to come round and take me for a hit! :hmm:
  24. +1 If I read a tech question and the OP has really bad spelling/grammar I rarely bother replying.
