  1. I run a 10 inch Davies Craig on my ke15, it pushes a ridiculous amount of air but damn it works well.
  2. this is the one I use by the way. springer, I understand your comment completely, I fully expect my cast iron one to shatter on me. Cast iron is notoriously poor under tension, so I always wear the googles! I've always used the wound out nut/hammer trick, but it's almost impossible to get a good swing on a KE10 to break the tierod on the idler arm. Also, the 911 tie rods you can only get at under the car, no engine bay to come at it from the top, so these clamp type ones are the best option. I have a cheapy but I'll buy a quality forged on some day.
  3. thats probably the blue one (elfin 623) thats in my album TOM, I got some more detail shots of it recently as well.
  4. yeh it's been around a while, I'm not sure if that's the one with AE86 rear end in it (ie 5 link rear end, not just the diff!)
  5. Yeh you can weld stainless to carbon, you generally use a stainless rod though, not a carbon rod. Stainless is just an alloy of steel of steel with a minimum amount of chromium in it (Simlarly so with chromoly steel) Thin metal welding with stick is tricky for new players because the fine line between getting a nice arc and just getting the rod stuck takes a bit of getting used to.
  6. Digging the front end work, how's your geometry looking though? Ackerman angles? etc?
  7. Hi there Josh. The best info we've got will be this thread: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/39042-ke-2025-rack-and-pinion-conversion-guide It's an RP conversion into a KE25, geometry and so on will differ for the KE30, but the general principles will remain the same. Long and short is, there's a lot of work in this mod. Looking forward to seeing more of your BEAMS setup, post up a rides thread!
  8. Cool keep the build pics going Ev. I have to say though, you'll be lucky to make any profit off a fresh build motor.

Was that you in the beanie across from the school?? Thought you were givin' me the Stink-eye hahaha. some dude in a yellow 30 with a cannon and mags gave me the old high-thumb last night.
  10. Zero force member for the win!
  11. Can you CC those slugs? Interested to know what volume they are compared to the 5K dishy.
  12. I wouldn't waste your time trying unless you're pretty damn good with the stick welder. for the diameter tube you're talking about, you'll have a hard time getting it to weld without blowing holes and making a real mess. Find a Mig welder, or even better, a Tig welder. Even if you just tack it up then get it down to an exhaust shop and let them do the rest.

where was the wagon, not the expressway? Lonny highway or thereabouts? what were you in?
  14. Cool. Looks like another 623, very cool. I snapped a few pics of a blue 3k powered 623 recently. Very cool cars but will set you back 30 grand or more for a full rqce ready one.
  15. so ahhh, home made guns are still illegal. Your mate know you just posted a pic of him on the internets?
  16. Wade Cams are in melbourne and have a lot of profiles. http://www.wadecams.com/ Download their Cam Cat program and have a look through the profiles for 3K/4K engines. I'd ring them up and tell them what you just told us see what they recommend.
  17. I'm going to go against the grain here... 1 meet new people 2 go out and party 3 drink beers 4 realise that you've got a hangover, 5 days til payday, 1/3 tank of petrol and 30 bucks to your name. 5 learn the many delicious ways to prepare rice and still make it tasty 6 get paid 7 return to step 1 and repeat. Living skint and enjoying every minute of it is a rite of passage. You don't truly appreciate the value of money, and the hard work that goes into earning money, until you run out of it. I recommend it to everyone, as long as you - Don't mooch. Mum, Dad, mates, be man enough stop hitting them up for $ and live poor. In drastic cases when you really need it, make PAY IT BACK. - enjoy some vices, but don't let em run your life - work hard Learning the hard way really drives the message home, we could all listen to the older blokes, create budgets, invest wisely and stay home on saturday but that's boring.....
  18. II use one of those lever tie rod breakers, where you clamp it on and wind the thread til it pops, much better than the fork.

yeh I see Ryan so many times I've given up posting haha. Saw some dude in a yellow ksev with black fender mirrors this morning, turning from Lonny highway east onto sherrifs.
  20. was this for sale on here, or ebay recently? I recall it's got a claimed high horsey figure? Cool nonetheless. And even cooler that the yellow bits are no more, that's some 90s fast fours shit right there.
  21. Wow - that's the vision of performance handling!
  22. I'd give it a while before you go have any MRI scans.....
  23. Edited... Lolz pwned.
  24. This is the first thing you should do to get about an inch out of the front end http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Lowering_KE1x_Front_using_KE2x_parts
  25. It's not because the legal system places a higher value on a cop's life; it's an extension of the manslaughter/murder delineation. The punishment is commensurate with the stronger motives of a cop-killer. ie - consider a "crime of passion" murderer who kills his wife cos she sleeps around, he's angry enough to stab her 45 times, but when acopper rocks up at his door, fear hits him, he realises his mistake and doesn't have the cahoni's to kill a copper. ie - cop killers are REAL nutters.
