  1. Looks great Andy...now - Lower it. But really impressive result. :P
  2. I Finally changed my engine at 369000K - it was still running, but due to neglect and me wringing the absolute neck out of it, I'd burnt through a valve on 3, and was about to burn through another 3 valves after we took the head off. But just installed a motor from the wreckers, and it feels good. (Torque is a nice feeling)
  3. Engineering rule of thumb must be adequate hear, heh. Although I can imagine you'd get a little bit of understeer from the rear pushing the nose wide...
  4. Haha, good luck with it then. Mind you rome wasn't built in a day - you have to expect a few teething problems
  5. Hmmm...its an open diff I assume. What's the weight balance front:rear like? mind you I'm just throwing up ideas; someone with a bit of knowledge might conclude something simple as change in geometry is necessary.
  6. Likewise - Thoroughly enjoyed that. looked like alot of fun! how was the car this weekend compared to sandown?
  7. an ae86 will not fit. not sure about the G Tech, although if it lists it for fitting a corolla between 87 and 93, then it should....but due to my unfamiliarity with the brand, don't hold me to that...
  8. does anyone know whether the G-series head will fit onto the 22r? one would think that'd be fairly close to a bolt in upgrade...
  9. It'll be the same as the any ae92 corolla. Saas, Autotecnica, calibre (Supercheap Auto brand, sourced through Saas) should all make one. I believe mine was Autotecnica, but it was a few years ago since I bought it. Autotecnica listing: 415 Saas/Calibre: BK-171L Probably will cost you around $80...
  10. Looks pretty neat :). surely an 18rg would go alright in one of these...there are kits out there to increase the capacity to 2.2+ if I'm not mistaken too
  11. Fantastic technical write-up. That should almost make it into the technical section. Cheers
  12. Could also be eminating from a loose lower balljoint within the upright. despite the fact its a tapered fit, the hole can sometimes become elongated, and no amount of tightening will improve it....
  13. does that equal another soy?
  14. 2 o-clock last year was in Healesville...walking, nee ambling out of the pub feeling quite content with the world...actually, it would've been more like just getting served at that point, but fingers crossed (and touch wood) we avoid any mechanical issues this year, heh edit: with that list, there's almost enough for a soccer team :D
  15. haha....i was going to write that - with a question mark, but i figured you'd be onto it pretty quickly
  16. ah well, there's always the law of shotgun...
  17. Ok, so now i spose we need definite numbers, so we can make bookings. 1) Soyboy 2) Bowler 3) ...etc
  18. Very nice pick-up. Those rewinds look awesome
  19. haha, yes Chris - Pano wont be ready (not due to slackness on my part however) But end of august sounds good. 30th or 23rd, so that we have time to sort ourselves out before then? thread in my name = lol... also, some stricter cruising guidelines might have to be laid out, so to save any newbies from themselves, everyone else, and their wallets...
  20. Although I voted something similar with respect to Regional shots, the Model/Month idea also has its merits - as it is supposed to be a calendar to celebrate the club, and the car. Highlighting individuals' time, effort and money that have gone into some of these rides/projects, acknowledges the efforts and love that we have for these cars. It also might give us something to strive for, to have our own car in the calendar. Obviously, once you've been featured, its only fair to allow others the chance.
  21. Agreed. There are plenty of dash facias around that have either been pre-cut, or about to be cut. that way, as dave says, you can reverse it later on down the track if you have a change of heart. still, great to hear about the condition, and it running. nice pick-up
  22. Nice score on the 20v - where from?
  23. Wow. Looks impressive mate. GL with the build. what are the plans with the brake package?
  24. Awww...damn rain - wheres my pano when I need it, lol. Panda FTW! - Agreed. If you ever need any assistance. I have an empty multilevel carpark at my disposal on weekends, lol FYI - we just got a small sprinkling about 2 min ago
  25. Howdy son, did you get my msg the other day bout those bumpers? car's looking the goods...whens the other one being posted as a project thread? oh, and where has it been raining? i have sun outside my window...
