  1. sounds like sulphur dioxide (????) or better known as rotten egg gas.
  2. You young fellas are gettin soft these days....... It washes off ;)
  3. Young fella at work picked up a pair of 225/60r13 Bridgestone Eagers. Brought a smile to my face as I used to run this size on my KE35 20 years ago.
  4. Maybe you can both sleep in Carbonboys car........................
  5. A mate ran them as driving lights on his HT
  6. Sleep in the car :P At least you have toilet facilities at the track
  7. Ended up doing the same. Mounted on rubber under the boot floor. Sooooo much better than under the parcel shelf
  8. What type of pump are you running. Had a similar issue when I went from a noisey old Facet pump to a Holley Red fuel pump. Ran fine until it got a bit of air in the pump. Would coast to a stop. Had to suck fuel through the lines, hook it up again and off I'd go. Got old real quick....... Went back to the old Facet pump and didn't have another issue, except for the noise.......
  9. Mine mounted to the diff via u bolts and I used lengths of all thread through the floor to attach the sway bar to the body. Needed to reinforce the floor obviously. The bar I used was an after market one designed for a KE35.
  10. Ran my KE20 with two leaves - the two biggest - with no tramp issues. Softened the rear and removed the rear way bar to try an reduce the oversteer. The factory Escort rally cars went ok with single rear leaves....
  11. Flicking through Street Machine mag in the supermarket and what do I see, a feature on Peeches the supercharged KE10 :)
  12. Never bothered either......
  13. Another thing to think about is the weight over the front end. The 18RG is a physically bigger motor (from memory) and may upset the handling.
  14. Good luck to all that are going to compete. Werribee is generally a good forgiving surface to have a play - unless it rains.....
  15. My 5k used to rev up around the 7500-8000 rpm range. This was with a wade 169 grind cam, modded 3k-b carbs, running around 12 degrees static advance, stock 3k(?) dizzy and vaccum advance hooked up.
  16. but try teaching it to a bunch of teenagers............
  17. You can also redrill the cross member to reposition the the lca's
