  1. Sorry but Photobucket is ʞ©$ɟen crap. The number of threads I see with this crap is frustrating: If you want your threads to have ANY longevity don't USE PHOTOBUCKET! It was getting so bad at one point I considered creating a bot to find photobucket links, downloading the image to our own server and replacing the photobucket links with something that'd last more than 3 months. Otherwise good guide Reed. You might have to update some of the screenshots when the forum software gets upgraded though.

  3. What is this? The old KE70.com forum had become rundown and neglected. The software was old, barely functional anymore and infested with spammers. Neither Teddy or myself had the time needed to devote to reviving and rebuilding the old forums. The idea of merging the forum with Rollaclub is not a new one, however the decision to do so only came about recently. While we would have liked to migrate all of the posts and members (who aren't already members here), this currently is not realistic. We have retained the database and may look to do this sometime in the future. So for now everything on the old forums is gone? Not at all. Much of the old site is accessible via the (very awesome) wayback machine: http://wayback.archive.org/web/*/http://ke70.com If there's something that the wayback machine doesn't have you can ask myself to try and retrieve it for you. I've tried to copy over some of the technical articles which didn't have broken images etc. So how will this work? Essentially it's just KE70.com utilising the resources of Rollaclub. This means that when I do maintenance on Rollaclub, the maintenance also happens on KE70.com. While I wasn't maintaining KE70.com before due to time constraints, now it simply inherits the updates Rollaclub gets with very little extra work. If you're a member on Rollaclub, then you're a member on KE70.com too. Whether you choose to use that is up to you. Rollaclub moderators will continue to moderate Rollaclub and KE70.com will have its own team of moderators (TBA). Cross forum issues will be handled by Teddy and myself along with the global moderators where appropriate. Do I have to post KE70 related stuff here or can I still use Rollaclub Its completely up to you. I'd encourage you to help build a community of KE70 enthusiasts but I'm not looking to change the way Rollaclub operates. If its non-KE70 related then keep it on Rollaclub of course. Will there be more sub-sites like this? Eventually I would like to see some more setup. If you're interested in helping to build one of these communities, send me a PM or email.

Straighten the wheels of the car - to 100% straight on ! 1) Take font wheels of car 2) Find (14?mm) castle nut on end of tierod end, remove split pin. Crack nut. Do on both sides. 3) Measure from 2 points on the rack to the new rod ends, so that when you screw the new ones on, they sit in the same position. 4) unwind rack ends from rack. 5) Installation is reversal of removal ! 6) Send car for a wheel alignment! - leave anything loose, and you risk loosing all steering to the vehicle. ! Don't forget to put the new lock washer on and peen it over when you tighten it(stops the inner rack ends from unwinding) Teddy and Benno.
  7. This was originally posted by stahlz_ae86 on KE70.com, 9th of May 2007. This is a plastic rear wing from a Series 1 AE82 Seca hatchback (not a series 2, there is a difference in the shape as the series 2 incorporates the number plate light whereas the series 1 has the number plate lights as separate units either side of the plate). This photo shows it the right way up. It cost me around $30 from pick-a-part This is what it looks like up-side-down The next photo shows that i have hacked out the 'support thingys' located at quite regular intervals. I used a grinder with a cutting disk to cut into them from both the top and the bottom, then used multigrip pliers to twist/snap them out. I took the photo before removing the last few just to give you an idea of what i mean by 'support thingys'. Next step i took was to cut 4 pieces of box steel to approx 65mm (don't quote me, going by memory will check and change if i'm wrong) and inserted them inside the spoiler on what was originally the top side which now becomes the bottom side (because it is a better fit when flipped). I used M5 X 16 c/sunk screws. I held the pieces of box inside the spoiler using c shaped vice grip pliers after taking rough measurements and marking out appropriately. I drilled the holes in the plastic to 4mm and lightly marked the steel with the drill bit, before removing it and holding it steady in the vice to drill through then tap with the M5 taper tap. I then drilled out the holes in the plastic spoiler to 5.5mm and used a countersink bit to make sure the screws would go in flush to the level of the plastic (because I will be fibreglassing over and want no lumps). Note: the photo's show that the end pieces of box have 2 screws and the inner have just the 1 which is closer to the tip of the lip. This is because the 2 inner bits of box steel and a substantial part of the plastic spoiler will need to be cut to clear the chassis rails. What it looks like from the inside... Next I left the wing lying on the bench as pictured above, held the stone tray up to it and held it central by feeling each end with my index fingers then held with one hand while i marked where the bits of box are with a white marker. Next step was to cut these little slots with a cutting disk on the grinder. The two inner bits had to be cut a few mm deeper than the outer because the shape of the wing is not an exact fit (well der this was never its intended purpose). It was then a nice snug fit and held in place tight enough to put a tack weld on each bit of box. I then removed all screws and the wing leaving just the 4 bits of box in their respective pre-cut slots with tack welds, and continued to weld them up solidly. I used a low heat and wire speed to avoid blowing holes in the panel. After welding is done you can re-fit the wing and provided you haven't overheated the panel anywhere it should go on no hassles. Should be left with something like this... This is an unfinished project and post will be edited and tidied up so it can be read easier. Just putting it out for now to give people some thoughts and show off some handy work
  8. I liked it the way it was (gee I wonder why?) but you're welcome :)
  9. I've got an SR and CA S13 radiators. They're both a bit manky but you're welcome to one or the other or both if you want them. They'd be alright for mocking up and probably fine to run if you checked them over. You might be interested in the radiator off my predator kit I never used too if you want to measure it up: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/images/s15kitradint.jpg
  10. Go directly to voicemail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. With businesses I suspect most of them are trying to hide the direct in/out dial number. The way I've got works phone system setup is that all outgoing calls display the same outgoing caller ID (our main number) regardless of the lines inbound phone number. Our old system just displayed the CID of the DOD which was a pain in the arse, calls ending up at all kinds of strange places because of the number people stored from caller ID.
  11. I've been reading more about it and apparently the setting isn't stored with the account, its stored as a cookie so you have to set it on each computer. Still doesn't seem to work though...
  12. Google instant. I have it turned OFF explicitly on my account and it STILL get that annoying shit.
  13. sikke20 -> 13bke26 Your login will change to 13bke26 too. Your account is one of a few I've come across recently that were setup in the days when we (briefly) had separate display names. If anyone else is in this boat (different login and display name) and wants it consolidated to one or the other just let me know.
  14. They ʞ©$ɟing shouldn't. I've given no one permission to do such a thing but I suspect its something to do with hiding the sidebar. But I run all the ads to keep an eye on them and have the sidebar hidden and I've never had it happen. I even run the same browser as you. I think if you keep the sidebar open it probably shouldn't happen, then again it shouldn't happen with the sidebar div hidden. The biggest pain in the arse is that I can never replicate it so that I can try and do something on my end. Edit: Why is this WMMH?
  15. Done. Me Gusta!
  16. False dichotomy. Just because A government sucks doesn't mean the only alternative is no government at all.
  17. Damn that sounds good!
  18. Am I right in remembering you weren't running an air filter? Or am I thinking of someone else?
  19. 2 days out from an exam and I feel like I've forgotten everything I knew about the subject. FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU brain!!
  20. I guess we'll find out :| Probably some "grass is always greener" and under dog mentality going on here. When Rudd was PM it was the other way round. I think polls are far too skewed by the observer effect to have any reliable accuracy.

  22. Just moved this somewhere it won't get lost. Great guide, rep the shit out of it people :) Disagree with IE, malware liability as far as I'm concerned but each to their own. They have improved but I'm not convinced its as resilient as chrome/firefox/safari. Have to say I'm very impressed by the diversity of browsers people use on RC: A few years ago IE would have comfortably accounted for 50%
  23. Thanks for asking :n:
  24. I'm not opposed to it, but I don't want it to be a ghost town either.
  25. I force everyone to use Firefox at work but I use Chrome myself. Don't really care either way, as long as people avoid Internet Exploiter wherever possible. Is anyone else having the same problem?
