my ke70 (road car until recently) has a misfire when you sink the boot in. i have replaced the spark plugs, leads, dizzy, alternater, carby, and noone can tell me why it still messes. i have had four different mechanics look at it but they keep tellin me it is the leads, I'm on my sixth set in 2 weeks. :P

I can't remeber what the coilover sleeves were but they're mated to a pair of 400lbs king springs. On with the pics! oh! mad props goes out to Paul at RallyTorque These things are a work of art. bring bring Springrate Front on lowest setting Side shot, lowest setting Better perspective Cookie to whoever can guess the ground clearance. Hi all, Now that I've finished my engine conversion, I was contemplating what diff I should use. The ol' KE isn't holding up to 100kw at the wheels. What I want to know is, will a T-18 be a direct fit into the KE70 , if not how much custom work would have to be done?? Thanks

Hey all Just a question about valve springs in K motors, (could be in other motors as well) I have seen some valve springs which look like '2' springs intertwined into one, is this just a cheap way to make valve springs extra strong ? or is there some sort of other explanation for this? Thank you in advance :P Ted

My dad mentioned to me the other day (he flies ultralights and stuff) that most airplanes use rethreaded tyres, apparently there's some "property" about them that makes them favourable to use rather than brand new tyres... He didn't know why though. Is there any truth to this? If so, what is it about them that makes them a more preferred choice? On a sidenote, have just gotten some Hankook Ventus HRII tyres on the Satria, I'm rather surprised - they're pretty good. As good as, if not better, than the original tyres that were on the car (Michelin MXF Sport)... And they don't squeel as much either. They're 205/45R16's.

Hey all Well, Ive been thinking again with the motor designs, and i thought of another idea. Now, I'm not sure if its considered a 2 stroke..? (see pic) Anyway! My idea is simply a cylinder, big inlet port & valve on left, and Big exhaust port & valve on right with a big spark plug up the top... (as in pic ) Would this work? would more valves instead of 1 big 1 for each inlet / exhaust? Yes / no ? thanks !

Hello All Well, pre paired to be bored to tears with my latest design ! (lol, bord in spare @ school, what else to do than design a motor? !) So, my idea is simply keep the general layout of a cylinder motor - (vertical) but place 2 electronic magnet's @ the top, and 2 at the bottom of the cylinder(see pic) So, basically i was thinking u connect them upto a dizzy type design which can Make the top magnets '+' Positive, and the bottom Negative '-', (piston = positive) - (Dizzy spins and changes positive and negative charge in magnets) So, you have the top magnet positive charged, and bottom magnet negatively charged (and piston is just positive) - its …

i'm doing the whole handling thing at the moment. i have a pair of rob's old springs from redwrf for the front. in the event that these sit the car higher than i'd like, i'll look into getting them reset lower, and run a shorter stroke damper insert to keep things captive my questions is: does anyone know an insert that fits into ke2/3/5/7 struts (they all take the same insert) that is 20mm or more shorter than a factory insert? i'm about to go catalog hunting, does anyone know any manufacturer's websites where i can download catalogs with product dimension info?

If you're looking to buy a fire extinguisher (to compete or otherwise), check out KMart. They have 1kg Chubb fire extinguishers (CAMS approved with metal bracket etc) for $29.87. As a comparison my 1kg fire extinguishers from Autobarn were $40 each. Or, you can get one of them Supercheap ones, they're a bit cheaper but are 0.9kg and come with a fairly dodgy plastic bracket (I have one in Pinky at the moment). It doesn't seem to specify in the CAMS manual, but I've heard of people being knocked back by CAMS scrutineers before for having plastic brackets... Mind you, if I'm not mistaken Rob has been running plastic brackets for ages and hasn't really had any prob…

A little while ago we had a discussion about replacing throttle cables with bike ones: Do you buy just the cable, or the cable and the sheath? If you just buy the cable, how do you thread it through the original sheath? Or, if you buy the sheath as well, how do you replicate the throttle body end that has the 2 locking nuts? Any pics? What diff should i go for when I do my engine conversion people?, apparently F series are a lot stronger, but a bit wider than a T series? F series come with disc brakes? Can get LSD centres cheaper for F series than for a T series? I was always under the impression that T series would be more than sufficient, but had someone mention to me that they had already blown 2 T series diffs behind a 4AGE.. :imstupid:
