i was thinking of turbo'ing my camry i just replaced the 3s-fe which now has 42000 on the clock so it is only low kays so what i was asking what would be the cheapest and/or the best for performance to do put a turbo/supercharger on, or to da a turbo/supercharged engine conversion, and if this what engine will bolt in with no or little modification to engine mounts etc. i was thinking a 3s-gte or a 4agze or something along those lines.

I got a KE20 2-Door Sedan with a 5K engine, webbers, extractors, sports exhaust, possible head work, mags and ts droped on its guts. I plan on doin it up as a tough streter but also want it to run a not to shabby time down the quarter. I'm just after ideas on what would fit in with minimal hassel and are leaning toward a SR20DET from a GTi-R or a 3S-GTE form a late model MR2. As well as goin faster i want it to stop on a dime so some help would be great there and also handle like a go kart as much as possible. Any help would be great as I'm new to the wors od corollas and you all know more than me. thanks a bunch.

I'm gonna go mad tomorrow I think I'm going for 100% locked diff because I can't afford a ae86 rear axle with lsd for my ke70 right now It's snow on the roads here in norway so its not a problem with understeering i think test drove a ke70 with 100% locked diff yesterday and it was just so much better than without but I'm wondering how good it will be at summer time.. you guys don't have snow in australia do you? How is it do drive with in high speed? 100-160km/h I just tryed it at a snowy parking place, drifting around.. so don't know how it is at higher speeds?

Is there any way to lower leaf springs yourself? I have heard of flipping one of the leaves over but which one? Car is my KE70 wagon drive vessel. I know it's definately not the top one..... superjamie knows about this... can anyone say minitruck? ha ha. Or will the stiffer wagon springs hold their shape better? my ke55 ones were dead flat and like iron bars when we flipped the top leaf. Lucky.

I have a 5k with just a bit of work done to it, 85hp at rear wheels at 7500rpm in a KE30 2dr sedan. I recently broke a valve spring as the cam has a lot of lift. Fitted new double springs with about 100lb seat pressure but chewed a lifter straight away. Replaced all lifters and runs ok again but to save the hasle of hydraulic lifters i want to change to solids. I know i have to have to cam hardened and that chev solid lifters will fit and pushrods i will change for 1 piece items of the required length. My question is: will the adjustable rockers from a 3k or 4k fit on the shaft of the 5k? I've been told that i might make an extra 10hp and an extra 500pm to be 95hp at 8000…

Anyways, we got to talking about gear ratios (since I'm looking for 4.3 gears), and the topic came up about the gearset from Palmside NZ, and also the gearsets that Albins has, and I mentioned that Rob was thinking of getting the Palmside gears... Don't want to get it then find out it's more powerfull because of something that I'm going to have to remove anyways due to the RWD installation (ie. inlet manifold) Dave

  23. f@$kED UP!. it's making this god awful scraping noise when i brake. SO, since it's happened, i'll probably get all my pads replaced, and i might need that disc (i think it's disc) machined to get the scratches that are most likely on it now. What's a GOOD, but EASY ON THE WALLET brand of pads, with nice stopping power? f@$king cars, i dunno. i'm expecting this to cost me around $500 at least, since i'll need to get my mechanic to do it, plus cost of pads, plus machining if needed... *mumbles*

Not long fixed my non working fuel & temperature guage. It was that little 10 volt regulator on the back of the console. Now the fuel guage has gone again. Temp still working. The float had a crack in it and sunk ! Replaced that with a spare I had but it only worked for a week. Now it's reading constantly low. I have had it out last week, and time has taken it's toll on the simple slide resistor arrangement. As I had this problem in a previous KE55 I guess it is quite common at age 25 yrs. As new sender units are as rare as dinosaurs, and even if you could get one would probably cost a kings ransome, I was wondering if others have had this problem and how…

Right, as some of you know, I'm changing my diff. I was a bit slack today, the moment I got home I just crashed, was SO DARN TIRED, had to just about live on Red Bull for the drive home.... Anyway, eventually woke up and started actually doing some work on the car (note to self, washing car at night with no lights, you tend to miss lots of spots, and the bottom of the car and wheel arches are still covered in mud). Diff is almost out, all I have to do is unbolt the rear shackles and it should just fall out. Anyway - question. The T-series diff has a larger diameter housing, 65mm in fact. The U-series diff has a smaller housing, 57mm. Obviously this is a …

Excuse the crude 'painted' diagram, but heres my current vacuum setup on my 3e-te powered corsa. This is how I bought the car and I dunno if it's right. Can anyone confirm or explain the correct setup? At the moment the vaccuum is coming from the plenum via a large vacuum hose into a screw in/out adjustable diaphram that also screws into the side of the plenum. From there, the lower smaller hose from the dipahram splits from a 't' piece to a round looking sensor thing ( it has a single electrical wire leading away from it) and also to the upper vacuum point on the vacuum sensor on the far left of the engine bay. The lower vacuum point from the sensor on the left hand …

As some of you may know, I've been on the lookout for a 4.3:1 ratio for my T-series diff (and an LSD if I can find one cheap enough). Anyway, as far as I know my diff is out of an RA28 Celica (so I'm told anyway), and has a 3.9:1 ratio. Center is broken, missing bits that should be there. I did count the teeth when I first took it out, but have forgotten now, but I think it was a 43/11 ratio (3.909). Anyway, I was speaking to the boys at Option1Garage the other day (they seem to be the only people I can get an LSD or gears from, everybody else seems to talk a lot and not deliver), and they had a Cusco center and ring gear. Ring gear out of a 4.3:1 ratio, 43 tee…
