Ok so I have a bit of spare time off over xmas/new year so going to finally take the KE55 off the road and start ripping in to the motor and starting the rebuild. I have a spare 4k that I am going to be swaping out the original motor for while I work on it just in case I need to use the rolla to get around. This build is going to be a bit drawn out (simply due to lack of time and low budget), but I need to get most of the major internal mods done to the motor asap as we are losing our company cars not long into the new year which means the rolla will be my daily driver. To help keep costs down, and because I love doing it, I am going to be doing most of the work …

well this is my beast that i spent a fair amount off time on, here's the story ... i bought a ke55 coupe for a 100 bucks of a mate of mine as a burnout car as it had had a tree fall on it one fateful new years eve. i left it in the backyard for about a month until someone i knew form speedway offered me a ke30 rolling shell that had been in a slight front ender but was still able to be road registered for nothing and i thought to myself this could be fun. after striping the 55 guards and bonnet down and removing the motor we went and picked up the 30 from this person and began a long and grueling process of recreating a beast. the 4k went in it followed by 55 guards and b…

well i sold my ke30 during the week and went and bought this the plan is to have a go at drifting and in my opinion this is a great car to learn in as the body isnt the best and it can't be regoed so it doesnt matter if i dent it :laff: the best part about it is it's already set up for sliding with the suspention consisting of ae86 front struts, new shocks and vl springs, ae86 vented disks and calipers with braided lines and corona control arms. whilst the rear end has new boge turbo rear shocks and falcon springs making the car stiff as f**k the drive train is pretty much done with the exeption of a cracked piston ring which is as simple as a rebuild to fix s…

Hey guys... i am Dennis i live in the states... i adopted this great condition ke30 with a 3tc swap after i sold my ery amazing prelude to pay for school... $2500 for her drove 400+ miles to get her worth every ounce of gas i love this car... almost more then the prelude :D this is a few pics of the whip when i just got her... shes been lowered don't worry. This is my KE 15 Sprinter restored in 1999 started with a 5K 5 speed changed to a 7K in 2004 the car has been shown in 5 NRMA Motorfests on Australia day in Sydney the car has been driven to all of these eventa and in order to help with the economy the diff ratio has been changed to a 3.55-1 this resulted in the vehicle running at approx 3000 rpm at 110km per hour. This combination of the 7K and hi ratio diff makes the car a very usable vehicle.

Car is all original I bought it off a old asian lady, its got its minor imperfections but its pretty damb clean for a 29year old car. I bought it with 114k's on the clock its got 126 now, never owned a corolla before iv had geminis, vls n chevs so I'm not sure what to do with it, only thing iv done it put some white walls on it n ill prob put a set of venetions on soon to, any feed back or suggestions welcome...Steve.

1972 Corolla SL twin carrb i have known aboyt this car for a few years took me 3 years to get hold of hershame really its been sat outside for 10 years not moved nothing,, The old chaps had it since 1972 still has the plastics over the sun visors from toyota, comes with originall bill sale of invoice and full toyota history,,, Does need alot of work doing tho panel wise.. floors boot area chassis and engine bay all solid as been zebarted from new... Any one know of any ke25 panels out there please let me know would like to save this one ;)

Hi all,This is my project I just finished. Took 3 years, I started with only a bare shell and imported a half cut from Japan. It won "Peoples choice" trophy at Japanese show and shine at Lakeside raceway a couple of weeks ago. It has been blue plated and is getting registered in a couple of days.The 3T turbo engine is original and only has 96000ks on it. All the running gear is KE55,I serviced the fuel rail injectors and replaced front and rear main seals before fitting motor, as it did sit around for a while. Heavily modified inside with Blitz digital turbo timer, Digital dash, and boost gauge just to name a few things. Fire wall and engine tunnel had to be remodelled to…

1980 KE55S XX Corolla Coupe 4K-C (1300cc) 4 Speed manual Stock except for the 14x7.5, 0 offset rims and now with fender mirrors, black crystal headlights and front lip... it is going in next week to get the corona front strut conversion modified as coilovers and reset and an extra leaf in the rear and sway bars all round which should tighten it up and bring it down to earth... at the moment the suspension is shagged, and the breakes aren't much better.... once that stuff is sorted it will be time to move onto the engine.... oh and some watanabes are currently in transit...

One of my dads mates had this just sitting on his back lawn so i decided to buy it for $50 (not the best photo) The only thing really wrong with it was just the outside and inside of the car. All the engine and gearbox and stuff worked fine and was in good condition. Since my dads a panel beater he gave it a respray so the white wouldn't look as dull and put new tires and rims on it. After that the interior needed a cleanup and new seats were needed. We also tinted the windows, put a pioneer DEH-P3950MP head unit in and 2 pioneer front speakers. At the moment its in primer and I'm going for the cheaper option and i'm gonna paint it matte black, Maybe 2 tone with lime green on the bottom, not sure. Just picked this old girl up about a week ago. She's only running a 3k with a 5 speed but it purs along and was rebuilt about 50k ago so will do for now. I bought her for a cheap run about as my other vehicle is a fj45 with a 350 and is thursty. Its pretty tidy with still original paint with only a few small rust spots. I only had it a day and a bloke pulled up at the lights next to me and asked me if i wanted to sell it! She does want new struts so if you hear of any.........

Well pretty much bought my car back... long story short i smashed the front end (ran up the ass of some one). The front end had been fixed, extractors, a newer model corolla steering wheel... and a bride seat had been installed. When I bought it back it had been stripped and had no exhaust (only extractors) it had no rego either.. He also said he had just fixed the head gasket but that was not the case cause it was still ʞ©$ɟed so I fixed that, got it skimmed, also it didn't idle so took it to work and fixed that, I stripped the interior and sprayed it black, made it neater. hey guys just sold my ke70 to a mate and done a mad mission to syd to pick up the new daily on the weekend its an 82 model 4 door ke55 corolla that has had a full 4age t50 swap done has race seats fuel system and surge tank few other little mods spent last 2 days fixing little things and adding a little of my own style on a few thing now has fender mirrors relocated from doors alot of new fuel lines in the boot as it was a bit of a mess when i got it had cracked and leaking fuel lines ect now has all new blue silicone fuel lines in boot spent about an hour in the engine bay tidying up wires that where very unsafe still haveto conect …

yo... 1977 ke30 SE bought the 30 a few months ago... came with a tough sounding exhaust but looks stock love that..aint done alot just replaced few bits n peices. new pitman arm. adjusted the steering box, new tires ( soon to be whitewalled). put in some audio some - 6x9 amp and sub.. sounds alright when i get roudn to it put the 2inch blocks in the back.. buy new springs for the front. boot has been carpeted looks nice.. doin some body work now fixing up all that rust n dents etc.. let me knwo what u think!! cheers cam,

Hey guys, well i have been trawling these forums for a long time as they provide a valuable source of info about corolla's , I brought this car in May this year for $500 off a 60yr old lady who had owned it for the last 15yrs, it had the pink slip done (dodgey will get to it later) all it needed was a renewal and insurance cost me $800 all up. So i drove it around for a while (still on L's) and then one day i decided i'd take the wheels off it and clean them, while they were off i thought i'd check the disc pads and shoes. And what a fright i got, it was metal on metal on the front and there was 1mm of shoe left on the rears, and they passed it? dodgy bastards…

Basically ive fallen in love with ke's so i had to have one for my first car after beeing on here and looking at all of yours (in a non stalker with permission sorta way) At the moment its auto. but hopefully i will have that fixed with the help of ELLA. (appreciated ofcourse) . hey peeps as the title states i own a Ae82 Corollla i have spent about 3.5k on it Lowered Sports Suspension (Super low's in the front) but my guards scrape should i pay $550+ to get the guards rolld Full Sports Exaust (Twin Tip) or should i go a Cannon Complete 4.1 Stereo system (6.9" x 4" sub and amp) Full Sports Service (plat plugs + Leads) but i am curious on what i am able to do to my Engine without replacing it.... it is a 1.6 Carbi, and i want more power. what should i do? ill put pictures on my profile after this post

hey have had my KE55 for about 2 months now its great all original and pretty clean. it has the stock 4K still in it its reliable and good but i need somthing with a little more kick and somthing that will get the wheels to spin :-). I'm tossing between a SR20 DE or a N/A 13 bridgy until i get my full lic then will turbo what ever i decide to put in the car. whats better? whats an easier conversion? and info is apreciated. cheers
