  1. I dream about having 30k to spend on my rolla haha that would be a dream.. but i guess a ferrari or lambo would be nice too!
  2. Looks so nice with these rims man. Serious rolla porn up in here. Keep at it! :y:

    Upi Spotted

Down at Lonsdale today there was a rusty ke55 coupe, a 5k in a white liteace van, a ke70, a mx62 and what looked like a ke30 sedan about to be brought out into the yard.
  4. Great stuff guys. Looks amazing! Love the colour  You still got the jellybean rims? They would look sweet after a good polish and repaint. Would set it off nicely I reckon.. Keep at it. Cheers Chris
  5. Nooo :o haha yes it does depend on what you want to do i guess. My little coupe was a sweet ride but not enough room for my liking :) The coupe has a lower centre of gravity :y:
  6. panOOOOO!! I had a coupe once... Then i sold it.
  7. That tyre stretch site is average, I prefer using - http://www.willtheyfit.com/ I would go with a 175 because 155 is tiny and probably dangerous, not to mention it will look silly. But don't get 175/50 thats too small, get 175/60 or 65.
  8. No it won't all work because the ae86 shocks will not fit the ke70 struts. You will need ae86, xt130, t18 or similar struts to fit those. AE86 Power Steering Arms won't fit ke70 struts either i don't think..
  9. Yeah mate the 5 speed is from a ke55 same with loads of other parts. Lowering was easy to do if you're willing to get your hands dirty. I recommend getting a haynes or gregorys ke55 workshop manual it will help you a lot. Not really any links for that stuff you will need to talk to your local suspension place. All my springs have come from Industrial Springs in SA. The rear carpet is easy just get some black carpet or whatever and cut it to shape yourself. The 3k carby was already rebuilt and mine was getting worn out so i swapped it. Not much difference really.. I look forward to replacing it with a weber :)
  10. Hey Kyle, glad you like the wagon! And also good to hear you bought yourself one. You will love it. Good luck and post lots of pics! :) I have been low on cash many times throughout this build. In fact I am low on cash right now too! It certainly does slow progress a bit but there is still a lot that can be done for not much money. It all takes time.. The mirrors were cheap. Could even be cheaper now as I found this link of them HERE on amazon for 10 bucks each. I got them for a bout 20 each i think. The Visor is a bit more expensive luckily mine came with it. It can be found HERE. As for the roof rack well that took me the longest out of any part so far to find. I checked the wreckers for a long time before i found this one. It was on a sigma wagon. Specs.. well its nothing extreme really.. but this is what its got at the moment.. Motor & Driveline: 4k engine with a rebuilt 3k carby. Brand new extractors and new 2" exhaust. 5 speed gearbox Manual sedan diff Suspension & Brakes: Standard brakes Rear reverse eye leaf springs, one extra leaf + suzuki sierra shocks Front has 2" lowered aurora springs in standard struts All steering components replaced Wheels & Tyres: 14x7 offset 0 August Feróce rims 175/65 tires Yokohama rear Sumitomo front Interior: Sony head unit in glove box + Ipod touch 4" front + 6" rear Pioneer speakers Alpine monoblock amp powering 8" jaycar sub Garmin GPS Hand made leather steering wheel cover Black vinyl spray on door cards Black/Grey seat covers Exterior: H4 Headlight upgrade Chrome roof rack Sun visor Horn upgrade Still some rough spots on body but I have replaced and painted: Left and Right front 1/4 panels Bonnet Drivers Door Front and rear bumper Rear vents Rear number plate light + more Plans: Fit 28/36 dcd Weber Get slightly stiffer front springs Replace front end bushes Respray in white possible ke30 bonnet + others Probably forgotten heaps of stuff.. oh well. This is an on going project and will likely never be finished. But it's always rewarding working on your own ride. I have learnt a huge amount from this car. I wish I could take it off the road for a while and give it the attention it deserves, but at the moment I need to use it. Cheers, :y: Chris

    Spotted!

Its a GA61 apparently! Check out his thread on toymods.. pretty old post but its the same car for sure My link
  12. Nice one mate. I like the plans, if your worried just make sure you only do things that can be undone. Should be sweet. Enjoy!
  13. I usually try and get down for a look but the rolla wont be on the grass..
  14. Hi everyone, Had some motivation to do a few things here and there over the last few weeks. Fixed interior light and replaced the door switch on the drivers door as the original one fell off! Also gave it a general clean up interior, exterior and engine bay. Fitted a cover on my sub box and some 5mm spacers + longer wheel studs (from a sigma) on the rear. Also picked up another grill thanks to Ryan (lumina78ke55), which is in pretty good condition. It also had the centre badge with it which is pretty hard to find. The blue on the badge was messed up though so I soaked it in brake fluid and removed it, then repainted the 'C' and stars silver. Unsure if I should try and paint the rest blue again really. Looks pretty nice as it is! Anyway heres some pics :) More updates soon hopefully, Cheers :y: Chris
  15. Hey mate with the visors its just self tapping screws into the gutters of your roof, two holes on each side. Can get pics if you need. As for the fuel cap I put a ring of gasket paper behind the rubber to tighten it up. Still can smell fuel at times especially when the tank is full but i don't know what it is..
  16. This piece ive got is about 138mm by 57mm, has toyota on it and in good condition. So maybe measure your gap to see if that sounds right. You can have it for 10 bucks if you want it.. or some beer! I'm down south but not too far, at seacliff. Pm me for more details, cheers.
  17. I have had good results with VHT vinyl spray. Still going strong on my door cards etc.. No scratching or fading so far.. Also if you are looking for the toyota sign that goes in the rectangular gap in that dash I think I might have one you can have. Cheers Chris
  18. Congrats mate!! A lot of work has gone into this car and it has really payed off big time.. Looks great! can't wait to see it with rims + lowered without it being a photoshop job haha
  19. + KE36 vans and wagons. don't forget the wagons!! :laff: I prefer the Ke36/38 look over most other rollas unless its an earlier model, especially if its a wags like a ke26 or something! I love the ke30 and the ke55 too. Anything from this generation corolla can be made to look sweet. Good luck, hope you find a nice one! Cheers, Chris
  20. Ok got this sorted ended up being the fuse AND a faulty globe haha.. goes to show its worth double checking everything. Cheers for the help fellas
  21. Would it be possible to use a rubber line as a replacement?
  22. The wire going to the switch has no power. Globe has been tested and is fine. The problem I had when trying to follow the wires back was that as soon as the wire enters into the rest of the loom (wrapped in black stuff) I have no idea where it goes. I will try and have another look... Cheers
