Hey Guys, I want to make this thread to talk about 4K builds! Everyone post your *K motors and what you have running & even post ideas, people want to know what the K motors love! Even I want to know.... personally i don't know much about carb motors nor the K series motor, so if you guys were to explain how you think to make Hp 4k's What I would think you would do is simple. Port & polish the head Aggressive cam profile 7k crank bore out to fit 5k pistons have a fiddle with the carburetor (Fatten up the mix) High flow extractors and exhaust Port intake What's your idea? Cheers Dylan

Hey there guys, I'm looking to achieve more lock out of my Ke70, so far Ive done the following steering modifications.. T3 - Front Lower Control Arms. T3 - Tension Control arms. T3 - Outer Tie rods. T3 - Ae86 Power Steering arms. But I'm still looking to gain more, so i'm wandering what possible steering rack swaps are out there with the use of the stock ke70 engine crossmember? Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Hello boys and girls, So about a month ago (Late January!) I picked up two KE70s for a bargain 700 bucks! Unbelieveable! One auto, which I simply spent minimal change and cleaned up and use as a run around, the second: A 5 speed manual, blue, and might I add rare "XX" model which includes a boot and petrol flap release catch under the drivers seat, a taco dash, and velour interior! Wow how modern haha! I was stoaked. It had done under 180,000 and has been sitting since 2007. I later found out it CAN be registered! Woo! However, no where near roadworthy. So I've sunk my teeth into it and plan to focus purely on cosmetics and not bother with molestoring the running gear! I've already fixed up some central locking to make life less complicated. Naturally she came with all the rust and some. So I plan to fix that shit up and then respray her. In the meantime, I've decided to go over the interior with a few basic mods such as a deep dish steering wheel, dildo shifter, and a Pionner deck with Soundstream 6X9s because subs are douchebaggy. I do plan to tint this car as summer is a piece of shit on a hot day and she doesn't have air con, so any imput on tinting would be sexellent. I may even go to the extent of venetins. For that extra bit of shade. As for the exterior, I've already scored some CSA's which havent seen the road in many years, so I'm keen as ʞ©$ɟ to get those sorted with tyres. Again, imput is welcome. I would like to go dish, but this is a budget build. I haven't experimented with bolt on flares or guard rolling so I figured now is a good oppertunity try something out, input welcome. I'll probably get a madhouse lip, and a duck tail to suit it. I would preffer them painted fresh with the body instead of the cheap rubbishy plastic colour. So basically a few little mods to keep her tidy enough to avoid the wrong type of attention. I'm getting to the age where I track how much money I blow on cars so I'm setting a total budget of 2k. Safe to say I've blown through 500 at the least. But I'm off to a good start! So to conclude, I'm basically trying to build up a clean, fun little street car and get back into the 'scene' and make some new friends I can go out driving with. Stay tuned, more to come in the progressing weeks!

Hey guys, I bought a diff off one of the guys who was parting a car out on here a few months back now ( can't remember his username).. When I went to pick the diff up I was told by the guy I bought it off that he had removed it from the ke70 sedan which he was parting out...on pickup though I realised the diff had disc brakes on it....( to my knowledge no ke70 came out with disc brakes). So my question is, is there anyway to identify what the diff is out off as I want to buy new brake calipers for it to rebuild them as the cradle from one of the calipers is missing.. It's a Borg Warner diff with disc brakes, there is only one number on it it is 0570-026900 and no I'd tags or anything. I have no idea how to identify it...without opening it up, I have been told that the corona rt142 came with disc brakes so I'm guessing it could be out of that. But I may have to buy a set of those calipers to see if they match the mounts? Cheers in advance if anyone has any ideas!!! Joe

just bought a ke70 5sp for a bargain $200, he says it needs a new carby and booster, the breaks still work just very bad, (have to push all the way in with alot of pressure to work at all), would it be the booster or something else? also would a boss kit for an ae86 fit? and would the strut bars from ae86 bolt straight in?

Hey guys :) So I'm here to post about my new ke70 corolla! I'll attach photos of my progress, so far only had her for about 2 months, in-love already!! She's got 220 000ks not bad for her age ('83). Had a few carby problems with dirt stuck in the carby. Recently had the exhaust fixed due to two leaks and a new fuel pump installed. It's a slow progress which I'm looking forward to the end result :) Any tips or help is muchly welcomed as I'm new to this type of car.

Recently i have bought a 1984 cs ke70, i bought it off a nice 94 year lady :) so she had not been much of a daily driver, the car only had 45,500 km's when i bought it. garaged its whole life so the cars paint, interior, roof lining, chrome and anything you can think off was all in overrated condition. And i have a lot of plans for it :) let me know what you think :)

G'day, Sorry if this posted in wrong section. Have read every single post/thread relating to camber on KE70 and am wondering why I haven't read of anyone doing the following. Seems simpler, cheaper and easier. They only seem to do it with a S13 strutt/suspension upgrade. Perhaps there is some danger/risk I haven't thought through if doing the same with stock KE70 suspension/steering? Any advice would be welcome. Firstly, it's a bush rally car - stock KE70 sedan - other than worked 4k and locked diff. So stock struts and suspension. I'm going with GH Sigma LCA's. Excessive camber yes, but I don't have to care about legality on the road, just safety in the bush. So: BJ122 ball joints. Nolathane 45278 bushes. Weld plate on LCA and redrill castor and sway bar mount holes. Grind LCA bush to fit KE70 cross member. Machine steering knuckle to fit sigma ball joint. That's it from what I can tell except for lenthening the steering assembly. So obviously the ra40 tie rod to ke70 rack end upgrade is proven, but I can't source the RA40 or RA60 tubes in Darwin to finish the job. So why can't I just got AW11 rack ends and cut them down? I need to gain about 40 mill on steering assembly to use the Sigma LCA's and AW11 are 120mm longer than stock I think? And from what I can see they would bolt straight to KE70 rack and KE70 tie rod??? And they are cheap - and on the shelf yeah?

hey guys, sorry for the silly questions haha but just wondering, to do a manual conversion in a ke70 (4k engine) with a k50 gear box would i need to change the cross member? or would they be the same?

Can someone please confirm that KE70 MANUAL (K50) speedo cables fit T50 gearboxes? I've been told they do and also told they don't. Two things I know for sure are AE86 speedo cables DO NOT fit KE70 dash clusters and AUTO KE70 speedo cables DO NOT fit T50s. If anyone has first hand put a K50 (manual KE70 gearbox) speedo cable into a T50 (manual AE86/AE71gearbox) please comment. Thanks.

Hi! Let me introduce myself first: i'm Ricardo, 24 and i live in the Netherlands. Took a while but i finally bought a rwd Toyota (Pretty rare over here and the most that are for sale are expensive). The previous owner started to pulling the car appart and removed almost all of the rust. But because of personal reasons he couldn't finish it. The car before it was taken appart: And how it looked when i bought it: Some of the new parts that i got with the car: And the rest of the parts: Have enough plans for it but first i want the car back on the road as fast as possible because i don't have a own place to store the car.

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade the shockers in the front of my ke55 and have been told that the size of the strut tube must be 51mm to fit the ones that i'm after. I've been told that these struts are found in ke70's but when i measured one it only measured up to 46mm. Can anyone tell me if there is a certain year or type that these struts came out in the ke70's, or if it was another type of strut out of another car altogether? Cheers.
