Hey, Can anyone tell me of some nice looking stock steel rims that l can use on my KE20? I am looking at 14 X 5.5's. Obviously there is the std option but are they any other makes or models that would suit? Thanks for you help.

ok guys, rebuilt my motor, got it running, once its ran for about a minute, it spits all the oil out, around the area of the oil filter, fuel pump, engine mount, blocking plate and oil pressure sensor, now I'm sure its not the headgasket, oil pressure sensor, i thaught it could have been the filter as i had a z9 on it, i changed to a z89a (recomended) the reason i thaught it could have been was because the z9 has an anti drain back, i asumed it might have flowed the oppersite way and pressured up, so could it be coming from the, fuel pump little blocking plate at the back of the block or the filter? one of the bolts is shonkey in the fuel …

as stated in theory this should work aye pedal box supposed pushrod end! were supposed push rod end will bolt up so theoretically this should work if i drill a hole around this^^^ area and space out the said pushrod part to clear the brake booster???

i went down the wreckers today. NO ke70 5 speeds and found nothing but 2 ke55 4 speeds. QUESTION, will a 4 speed out of a ke55 line straight up to my ke55 auto without modification??? and manual cross member out the donor will bolt in?? and shifter will line up???? thanks in advance Evan

:hmm: Diagnostic port, where abouts is it? I'm having alot of trouble, a mechanic i took it to couldnt find it and has done plenty of 4age conversions etc, also ecu's i have a 4ac ecu, that is from an older model 4a engine yeh? please really need the help look on net and find people using motec and haltech ecu's but mine isnt turbo'd or supercharged

Over the years I have removed many door cards from many different cars with varying success. Is there a fail-safe way of doing this without causing any damage or pulling the plastic lugs through the cardboard? I recently learnt the trick of using a piece of material to remove the clip holding window winders on. Is there a similar trick to removing door cards?

anybody ever driven a car with brake booster flex, and the horrible feeling brakes that go with it? (think holden rodeo) anybody know an engineering solution to the problem? reinforcing the booster somehow? a thicker smaller diameter booster? any ideas? Robert.

Gday guys, i own ke30 with a sr20. It has come to the point where i need to mount the front mount intercooler and i would like to see how other guys on this forum have done it. Pictures would be much appreciated. When i say mounted i don't actually mean mounting it but rather ie did u cut the front apron or the grill and what holes did you cut out for the piping. what is the cfm of the 3tc and what would be a good 4 barrel carb. i don't want to go sidedrafts.

So my drums are screwed and I figured I'd do the conversion while I'm in there fixing the old. So my question is has anyone done this and is anyone keen to give me a hand to do it. It's my daily so I'd be keen to do it asap. Also if anyone is near a wreckers who has seen the required parts and is keen to grab them and post them that would be great.

mk so, my brake light switch was not working, the bolts holding it in place had loosened so it slipped back and was not turning the brake light. so i fixed that and i noticed the brakes were really tight when i pressed it. as in the brake peddal didnt go down as far as it once did. so i topped up my brake fluid and drove it for a coupple of days. a few days after fixing the switch i noticed that the brakes became very squishy and were not as sensitive as the once were. since then they have gotten very bad. so bad that the brakes hardly work ithout pumping the pedal once before the car begins to brake. anyone have any suggestions?? could it be a bubble in the lines? i real…

Could someone tell me what would cause my intercooler piping to be lined with this? Doesnt smell oily No milky sludge under the oil cap Oil is topped up Water is topped up has been getting rather warm lately burns 2 sec of oil on ignition (valve stem seals?) breather and catch tank to fix perhaps?

hey guys currently i drive a ke70 with a k40 4 speed and i wish to convert it to a k50 5 speed A guy told me he had a k50 so i went and looked at it and yep looks like a winner except for one problem the clutch piece was on the other side?? is this the k50 or a different gearbox? and if it is a k50 how do i run it in my ke70? Hey guys just put new turbo on my 180sx but have good old one which is a T25G turbo, a mate said he can make manifold and I was just gonna plumb it all up but someone said I should ue what they call a suckhrough system? can someone explain or is there a "how to" somewhere?

I was down at centre road wreckers today and found 4 hubcaps in the boot of a 78 Crown. I not sure if they are crown caps. The look datsunish. They haven't got any numbers or markings on them. They're all metal 14inch. Can you help identify? I'm thinking about putting on the coupe. I've just gotta get 14 inch rims and tyres for it now Save save save

Is there some kind of generic guide on the web to removing a strut and replacing it with another one? Asking purely so i don't frig anything up, as i NEED to get them done quickly and properly :) It's not for a Corolla. hey I'm looking 4 help to decide the height of my ke70 in 2 weeks it will be looking good its getting tinted, got 15" superlights with 3.5" dish and now i need the perfect height ??? any 1 help just for a heads up there 15x8 wide and i have no guards rolled and not keen to flair any guards any time soon any 1 got a good height btw I'm not keen to chop or cut any springs ill be buying kings so yeh any1ns help would be great

Hey guys i have a k-50 "short shifter" ie- lengthened throw sitting in my garage. Just wondering what sort of places would be able to fabricate a spacer plate for it, if i were to provide them with both shifters so they could measure the difference of course. Would a standars metal fabrication place do it?? or would a mechanics be able to figure something out? Any help appreciated, thanks!

where does every one get their 4k extractors from?? I'm having a seriously hard time getting some for myne and muffler places or recomendations because i need some! if any 1 has any they want to sell let me know 2

my gear box is on the way out in my 1987 mr2. but i don't know what to replace it with. its got a 7afe in it so iis got the box from the 4age or 7afe and is there any others that will fit it with LSD. please help cheers people

Hey I'm new here, Anyways I have just purchased a ke70 with a 5 speed box in it and am planning on transferring the engine to a 16 valve 4age as my daily driver. well my question is: is it possible to swap the bell housing on the k50 so it able to bolt up to 4age? yes i know it is not the strongest but its really smooth and will do the job for the moment anyway. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks

can anybody tell me if i can put a 4afe head on a 4age block or 7afe block what components of the 4age or 7afe block will i need and can i use most of the 4afe accessories etc the head is ported polished and will be getting a hardwelded cam profile the same as the web cam on their site and 4age valve springs as of this weekend cheers

I'm wondering if its worth it to buy it, then rebuild it completely (stock), as i can't really afford to buy performance stuff, although it would be worth it, but something i can do later on. Its pretty cheap at the moment but i'd have to take a roadtrip down to NSW (12 hrs). The plan is to put it in my ke-70. I'm wondering if its worth the money to buy it and fix it up or just to buy a working 4age. I don't plan to put the 4age in til tax comes, so no pressure on time (unless it's going to take more than 2 months)

Hey guys the stock speedo is really quite awful in my ke20 and i want something a little bit more fancy and bright cos i cannot see it at all in the dark... its also out massivly and i never know what speed I'm doing, so I'm thinking of ripping out the old one and putting a new one in it and getting it all re-calibrated. Now the big question is, as these cars are so old would the wiring stop me from putting an aftermarker speedo in?

Hi all, Been told you need an engineering certificate if putting in a 5k and 5speed into a ke17 sprinter? Just wondering how would i avoid this and if it really is necessary? Its a bigger motor but i didn't think that the 1.5 would make a difference. Thanks

I gotta either make or buy an oil catch can for my KE10. I've been looking at a few and i've noticed some have an outlet/inlet at the bottom and two at the top. Could anyone explain where the 3 pipes would go? Thank you

Hi all, does anyone know of a link or have some information of the speedo variation from actual speed to the speed shown on the speedometre when upgrading your rim size? i currently have 17'' rims on my 91 corolla and would like to know approximately how much the speedo is out by? i think i speak for us all when i say, i do not want to be done by a speed camera. any help would be great! thanks in advance

Hi, Just in need of informatoin on how to match valve springs to a motor. I have a set of dual valve springs off a 4K head to suit a K motor but I have been suggested by a person to not run dual valve springs as it is over kill etc. So I know there would be a way out the how to calculate amount of valve pressure you would need when it is fully open and also seated shut. So can anyone enlighten us on how to match valve springs to a motor and what to do? As I don't want to kill cam lobes or break parts of the motor from having to hard valve springs for the motor. Hey guys, I recently bought a KE70 s1 and a s2. The s2 is in way better shape so i'm going to be building that up. (May start a project thread soon). I don't really like the look of the s2 headlights and Front end (looks like a AE71) so i have put the s1 guards and bumper onto the s2. Everything fits fine... But the headlights wont screw in. The brackets that were on the s2 can't be used for the s1 lights and they don't screw into the body( i think one may). :fuzz: What are my options here? Has anyone done this conversion before? ok as some people may know i have a little ke70 in the progress of painting.... my friend who is an apprentice mechanic came over to check my progress and when we looked in the engine bay he said "holy s**t!!!" and here i was thinking " what? its just a 4kc???" so anyway he looked around a bit longer in the engine bay and we found wires going to no where which i already knew. i am hoping the good people here on rollaclub could help me figure out what wires i don't need thanks to the d**khead who owned it previously

hi everyone i have a ke70 that ive had for about a month now, has stock motor, clutch,gbox n such anyways just now got abit bored so went for a quick trash at a local dirt road, a couple of handbrake clutch dumps here n there and then my clutch suddenly felt wak, it was very loose to press, and would crunch on alot of gearchanges unless the revs were match perfectly so i headed home, on the way i decided i was angry at it so i gave it a good kick on one corner now the losseness is gone and it feels ok again, but it still crunches on gear changes, especially changeing down and its not slipping its just like...crunching? so what have i f@$ked? and what do i …

i have a 4agze with turbo setup and wondering where people have got the water feed from water outlet from there aint many locations to get them from it don't have factory hoses as its a rwd so where on block etc can i put these lines to or what hose should i put to any help from some1 thats done this before appreciated thanks
