No compression doesn't make as much difference as people seem to think,because you can't add no where near as much timing as a low comp motor.... unless its methanol, amd you woudn't get a 4age with 11.1 comp way up into the 20's boost wise without some very tricky fuel, even C16 might struggle?. trick manifold ...i'll give it 10rwkw for a merge collector best of the best exhuast manifold, and 10rwkw for a best of the best intake seeing as on most engines, plenums generally make no extra power or sometimes less than a standard one. 1. being non crossflow head, everythings on the same side, they heatsoak like a mother f@$ker( what looks good on a dyno tune may not look good after a 30 minute thrash of "racing on a private airstrip", i had to pull 2 degrees of timing out of the whole map dyno tuned to stop detonation after hammering it time and time again up to 160km from a 60 km roll. Would be fine for one 1/4 mile run however. 2. the combustion chambers aren't all that flash as look like they would have lots of hotspots leading to detonation cheers darren

yeh drill the f@$kers out, but being a mechanical secondary, with the carby you will usually get a flat spot if you floor it down low as it clears itself up. Drill out the secondary till at peak power you have your target afr as everything under that will be rich...lol, Lock the dizzy and advance it till it makes peak torque, without water injection that would be a balance, with it should be cool I wish that i fitted it to my old car, would have been killer. might not have to change the jet with a boost up, just depends, and if you use 4k isn't there 2 types of pistons(aussie/jap), and one was weak as piss? cheers darren

190rwkw 4agte would be a piece of piss lol, standard motor, 2860 garrett, aftermarket computer, some injectors, miles over 200rwkw. As for 7psi, and 280rwkw...lol mate doesn't matter what tricky porting/manifolds its has, you can't turn a 1.6L motor into a 4L turbo motor...basic reception physics that one even with the worlds best turbo/porting /cams so big they poke out the rocker covers..lol 50 grand is a lot of money to spend on a rb30 twinky!, f@$k that I'd want to run deep into the 8's! cheers darren

yeh my mate set one up did, he put the secondary jet in the primary, and drilled out the secondary jet, put my old wrx intercooler and td04(MY99) turbo on it, made 100rwkw on 11-12psi from memory worked like a charm cheers darren

Slicks would make the diff last longer than radials/road tyres , no wheelhop, no axles tramp which is what kills axles and in a ke10 you woudn't have to dump the clutch, just ride it a bit to run 12's with 150rwkw, so the diff may last a meeting..lol. With a big clutchdump i would expect nearly flat 12's in a ke10. I ran 13.3 with the j-pipe hanging 1cm of the flange exhuaust joint(so there was a big gap) and 145/70/ 12 inch tyres ..lol so it shoudn't be hard to beat if someone tried properly. Hilux diff/T-50 and a 2 step on slicks would be the go. cheers darren

May be doable, being concentrating on the skyline for theast 3 yrs, and that should be finished totally in 4-5 months, so i will have money to finish the ke10 then. Being trying to go in it for the last 10yrs..lol, something always happens, or we forget its on. Sounds like a good goal though to get me motivated though, i will work towards that, if people came from interstate it would be even better, how many white ke10/11's with red interiors/whitewalls/venetians can you have in one place..rofl Biggest thing for me is the car needs repainting as its getting rusty after the last job 13yrs ago, doesn't look as sweet as it once did, starting to get a bit ruff now. Engine/box/diff/ are all in now. cheers darren -

Awesome cars, whats it with adelaide and all ke10's being the same?.... Mines white, has venetians, hubbies, walls and the original jap spec ke10 mirrors on the front guards aswell, been like that for over 10yrs though..lol cheers darren -

My build not going at all, sitting under a cover, i am doing house renovation atm and are trying to finish the skyline first as its very expensive build this time and has been 3 yrs there and its killing me financially and doing my brain in aswell. Just need it done!. Also have 2nd child due in 8wks..lol Will finish the ke10 after that, have heaps of bits for it, just a matter of doing a lot of it. Its a million times cheaper to do and more fun aswell. cheers darren

Sounds tops, does the hopper stopper kits clear 14's or do you need 15 inch wheels The funny thing about those axles is my mate has been cutting down his own now, non hardened and they last heaps longer than the cut down hardened ones he and everyone else was getting done by various different sources ...weird... cheers darren

Thats normal with any cut down borg warner 28 spline axle, be it vl turbo or 31 or vn v8. The borg warner axles are only hardened where the standard spline is, cut it down and your into soft territory. In a ke10 it won't be a problem, but any turbo car has problems. You can easily break a set in a manual 13 sec full body car in a night no probs with a bit of wheelspin , had freinds break lots and lots of them in vls(people put cut down vn 28 splines in them to substitute standard vlt/v8 axles) Whereas people go 9's in auto cars with standard non cut down 28's.(actually i have never broken as set in 3yrs of driving with 600-700hp all the time). cheers darren

Yeh but with a bit more boost and exhaust, they make 220ish hp, seen plenty run mid to low 13's over the yrs with just those mods. To fit the 2.6 rodeo motor, you need the piazza sump and pickup, my brother has a g180 turbo gem that runs mid 11's on streeters and pump fuel with a little garret 2860 , can't wait to see what it does now with the gt30 he's fitting cheers darren

Yep after piss farting around with mine for a week, and my wife looking at it and telling me she is not driving it/going in it with a stock brake master cylinder i decided to put a tilton pedal box in it to, so its back under a car cover in the shed till i can afford that..lol i have no probs with tunnel clearance, i have a big tunnel welded in there to clear the supra five speed but with the inlet manifold it just hits my brake master cylinder anyway. its mounted a bit to far back.... must of been fate..still not a lot of room for a radiator though. cheers darren

Engine mounts have to be custom made from scratch , you can't use ke70- 4ac ones as a base like a ke30? onwards,I tried that , i just got engine mounts and a new tunnel put in mine last week. cheers darren
