  1. Good chance, I'll be draging these baby's, out of the chook shed tomorrow. Locksmith friend is coming over to cut me some keys late arvo, then I can play. After some research, I've decided to stay away from a 300cc kit. A) I don't need 70-80rwhp to have legal fun. B) we are ginea pig testing my engine setup for a mates pre "90 250 production race bike. So all my mods need to be class legal.
  2. Grats guys!! I think I can hear the point the cable stretched. Should be heaps better when tuned and we get the gas set up. Mike seems keen as to get her cookin with gas!
  3. I wa thinking Vespa, but then I remember you'd said reveal. This now has me confused. You and your wacky two wheelers was some of the inspiration for me getting two rgv's. All that matters is grin factor v dollars.
  4. WGMG. The fj20 in dads 1600 dropped a ring land yesterday on cylinder #4! Not a huge issue, I know a guy that can make awesome forged pistons haha. I just want to work on my 11's turbo setup!!
  5. Hhhmmm definatly look at one of these when/if my omega dies. It's 2 1/2 pumps for full lift(unloaded) but was around $300 when I bought it 10yr ago.
  6. Pfft. Wouldn't call you a loser, I'd be more a loser than you, I didn't even compete. Fun is all that matters!
  7. I initially did the same thing. Torque city!! Should be well quick.
  8. Count the yellow tape on injector bosses. The two runners your missing seem to be hidden by the firewall. Appears to be LS based.
  9. Flat top head on a 4k-u or 5k will drop the comp to around 8.5:1 or lower depending on bore size. The majority of 4k heads are the large chamber head to suit the flat top piston.
  10. Thanks mate, really apreciate the confidence! Lol. Everyone likes a photo.
  11. So I've been wanting another bike for ages. The only requirements were 2 stroke, pre '89 for club reg and a bit of a project. I looked at enduro bikes to convert to a flat tracker, cafe racer or chopper. Then started looking at sports bikes like Kawasaki kr-1s 250 and early suzuki rgv, well the kwakas which I really liked the look of years ago are nearly non existant and the majority of rgv's for sale later model and not eligible for club permit. Then last week I get a phone call from a mate "I've just bought 2 rgv's, and I think I'm too big for em." Went down had a look and struck up a killer deal so I got em. So plans are: Get one on the road. Sort out some more comp, squish and port on the motor by dropping the barrel height .015" And enjoy until the Rolla is turbo'd. Future plans: 300cc kit. Set of tyga Perfomance chambers and mufflers. Pro-bolt kit. Flat shifter. Either new Lucky strike(period correct) or Rizzla suzuki gp copy fairing kit. I've seen well sorted 300 kitted bikes make 75rwhp, not enough for a late mod 1000 but more than enough with no T/C or power modes.
  12. F'yeah been wanting a 2 stroke roadie for years. But now I have two!!
  13. Killer work mate!! Port work is definatly voodoo magic. Haha Ever played with any really obscure stuff? Stu.
  14. Here you go Adam. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/10419-limited-slip-without-changing-housing/page__fromsearch__1
  15. The 5k clutch and flywheel don't fit in a K bell, if your desperate enough they can be made to fit. I've done it but I wouldn't recommend it. I'm suprised you got more than 12 months out of those headers.
  16. I've used Penrite HPR for over 20 years without an issue. The FJ20 loves it and so does all of the K motors I've had in the Rolla. I wouldn't personally go any lighter than a 15w-50 in a fresh but run in K motor. I've had main seals weep with a 15w in the past.
  17. Wouldn't that have been in a RWD platform too?
  18. Nah Justin add 10 year to that. Haha He's the man Bryn, seriously he is. Give him specs of your engine, car and what you want to do with the car and get him to choose a grind. You won't regret it!!
  19. Yes, I'm keen to stretch some head bolts!!!!!!!!!
  20. Borgys in a full weight Falcon are good for mid nine second passes. Given an e7 are half the weight it should be fine with a set of billet axels. FYI skyline, falcon and commo diffs are all pretty much the same internally all except a couple of different splines on axels.
  21. Cryo treating and isotopic(spelling?) polishing helps a lot. Oil temps are lower and less bearing/steel material contaminating the oil.
  22. Such a big hit by the looks of it. Good to hear he's not injuired. I was a passenger in an XU-1 that suffered a similar demise, scary thing seeing the person in the drivers seat as a passenger at 100km/h.
  23. Only bug I see is, not enough opposite lock. Haha. Congrats Craig good to see it on the dirt.
