If this is a stock 5k with a stock 5k head using holden/chev solid lifters than datsun A12 push rods are supposed to fit. I tried this conversion and they were too long. Solved it by using spacers under my rocker.

I had to do this to rig up the custom throttle cable to the pedal on 67Rolla... not nearly as fun as it sounds. Worst part is when you're finally done but you can't figure out how to get out again :P

Well done! I've been down in something almost as slow (one of the fastest runs in a stock V8 Soarer and you're less than a second off it) and man it's a rush at any speed! :D

Would be keen on whatever but would need to fit a thermo to Mumbleweed to make a long run. 67Rolla looks like it is still a couple months off. Boot lid is back to bare metal again and getting sections cut and welded. Anyone got a spare KE10/11 boot lid I can run until then (in any condition)?

I've had a similar trip home in an 85 Colt after the exhaust fell off, for a car with no power it sounded insane :lol:

Thanks Simon, I'd like to think I've grown up a little over the 7 years I've been working on this car... not much but a little. Very glad I decided to go all original but damn it's been a hard slog to find all the original parts in good condition. Plan is to finish fitting the brakes this week then trailer her over to the panel shop (I'll speak to them this week and see when they can fit her in). Then last trip by trailer over to the exhaust shop. Once she has an exhaust she's driving! Lots of little things to do but much easier to do them with her driving! A lot of RC people have helped me to get this far,thanks Gauthier for convincing me to just get the blood thing back on the road and worry about the rest later... I was stuck trying to get every detail perfect and getting no where.
