    I spent several days trying to get those chrome strips into the windscreen rubbers. In the end I gave up and got a professional out, still took him several hours to get both windows fitted.

    Well if you want a reliable daily car, n/a would probably be better. The 3SGE (4th or 5th Gen) gives you about 200-207hp, the 4AGE (20V Silver or Black top) gives you about 160-165hp, the best 4AGZE is standard config is only 170hp (all figures from Wikipedia). Sure you can up the boost and play with all that fun stuff but I'd rather go for the 3SGE. This is all if you don't factor that you will probably pay twice as much for the 3SGE as you would for the 4AGE...

    Wow, that would allow a 3SGE (700kg x 3 += 2100cc) or 4AGZE (700kg x 2.5 = 1750cc). Go a 3SGE ;)

    I have the 1100 Toyoglide Auto Service manual if you need to see any pages. I believe it's from 1967 and it looks like it hasn't been opened often so not keen to try and scan all the pages. Happy to take pics of needed pages.

    So had a good day today. Took no time at all for my mate Kely to figure out the timing was off and correct that... a little bit of adjusting on the carbies and she was running sweet and idling!! Big thanks to Kely!

    Hmm, I have a set that are rekitted with single carb kits (so single carb jets), but that didn't run as nice. Turns out timing was out, running sweet as now, even idles!

    Fantastic Ben! I checked out my local dealer a year or 2 ago... would have to take a massive pay cut with no hope of ever getting back to my current wage (selling pumps). :(

    Just looking at tuning my twin aisan's on Saturday (stock set now fitted to 5K with very lumpy cam). You know anything about the butterfly and float settings... is there any adjustment on these?

    67Rolla is getting an exhaust fitted on Monday, then back to the panel shop for final touches and fitting the boot lid. After that it's just back to the trimmer to get the interior all finished. I really think I might be able to make this in 67Rolla if we go late April.

    Exciting! My first 2 cars had the mighty 4AC engine... no power what so ever but it took a pounding and never missed a beat. Got it up to 150km/h once... it didn't like that.

    Much better plan than trying to use the 1UZ car as a daily. It'd be a shame to change the wheels, she still has the center caps!

    Ahh, that makes sense. So is there a correct pushrod for the solid lifter conversion on a 5k with a 5k head??
