  5. Looking at whats written on the exhaust manifold its just 3k manifold thats been port matched at some time. As for high port it may have something to do with dope or nimbin or white shoes :drinks: rob
  6. What Clapped out said ,as well the rear wheel archs ,floor pan if its been leaking. Spare tyre well, the number 1 crossmember under radiator . Not as good base for a (race car)as the proberly a ke70 but lots of info around. The ke70 at least had coil rear end which is a better start than hay cart springs but they are the same as the gemis way over priced. rob
  7. Nice work banjo ,maybe a opening for a wiring harness up grade kit form ? rob
  8. 80mm from fire wall to end of cylinder its self. 90mm from fire wall to top of cap. It has a tapered reservior. rob

  10. Hi Craig I'm liking the wide and back look. It wouldnt fog your screen ,would it ?(cold screen lots of heat coming from the vents ) Great work as all ways rob
  11. Keith is right in the end it needs to be dynoed to get the best out of them. The recarb ones i think dcom which are different again. When its all said and done you will have jetting nothing like whats suggested as it will be jetted to that engines needs only. Remember that all jetting charts are a guide only. I deal with weber in Melbourne ,his good bloke and no,s what his talking about. New players also be careful of the new cheap so called weber look alikes quite nasty ive been told. Rob
  12. Before you go to far just make sure that there are performance carbs not emission carbs . To tell take out idle jet it should have 2 treads on it performance ,if its emission type will have a washer near to the top of jet and 1 thread . Also check to make sure they have the same number of progresion holes or you will never tune them. Not even weber can work out they numbering stamped on to they carbs ,so many different types. Just had a quick check of the jetting chart i have based on about 380 cc per cylinder. 45f2 130-135 mains 32venturi 4.0 aux venturi f16 e tube 40 pump jet 1.75 needle valve don't take this as correct as each engine will vary ,and this sounds like a very hot engine rob
  13. Trimatics well that vacum chamber and the vacum line was the first thing we use replace on them . The line at the inlet manifold as well!!. It also up set the running of the car ;) . If the oil doesnt smell burnt and keeps oil clean. The vacum line is not normally clamped ,just a tight fit. If its not changing gear it would point to the vacum chamber or leaking vacum line. The old tri matic was very basic ,well quite fordson tractor compared to todays autos ar the the good old days at GM rob
  14. I'm seeing things on facetube its not pretty?? Rob
  15. Nice colour !! there are still 2tg around but most have been flogged for 20 -30 years by now . The people that own them want top dollar for them ,they are heavy as ,but go like a cut cat. Even the 4a engine is fast becoming old! Still got a soft spot for the old k engine ,don't disguard the 7k. Nice coupe ,as most no I'm a coupe sl#T ,but they are just so much better looking than boring 4 doors . :finger: rob
  16. Thanks dwarf ,yes you are correct. cheers rob
  17. Hi can any one tell me how many teeth should be on a 4.77 diff ? I m thinking 47 on crown wheel 10 on pinion?? thanks Rob

  19. Ha ha i needed that thanks Reed Sorry don't no any think about turbos or want to,at the end of the day it needs fuel air spark compression.
  20. Nice can i have a bonnet please Craig haha . Excellent work as always. Can you please colour code pegs in some sort of order its the fag sway thing you no. bah!! rob
  21. It sounds like your got a inlet leak. Are they 40s or 45s as they have different venturi set ups. The problem sounds like its on the other side of the carbies eg soft mounts. What sort of air filter is it? The 40 i have is k&n which has a gasket on the outer edge and o rings sandwiched between the outer venturi and the filter base. Was it running well before? rob
  22. Yes what Damon said ,i use to drain oil spray the shit out of it with super cheap degreaser . Turn welder up high and melt the shit out of it. Spray again with degreaser to remove any rubbish ,refill with oil hold flat. Certainly not a road car though. rob
  23. Before you get to far into it just remember that there are 2 timing marks on the front pulley. Check your looking at the right one. rob
