  1. Thanks Guys ,I tried the wire up as Keith suggested but all that happened was the coil got very hot and not a sign of spark from the dissy . So Dave, Taz would i remove the igniter all together ?I'm not really good with all these electric bits !!! Then run a external igniter and coil with module ,as in the FAQ section?? You may have to dumb it down for me. Parts i have laying around is one dead 5k dissy one coil with a external igniter from i think st141,coil from ae71,coil from ke55s,coil from ae82. Dave the igniter from GM is from a VR taxi ?it would be good to have a simple set up where parts are easy to get over the counter. Thanks Rob
  2. How would i bench test a 5K internal igniter dissy. I did run it many years ago but the car just stopped from memory ,didnt bother with it just put the points dissy back in. Can you still buy the igniters?? Banjo! kicken 5k! Keith! thanks in advance rob
  3.  Colin .Damon kings springs front ,new shocks ,reset rear springs just do it right. Don,t do dodgey s##t or you will end up doing it twice trust me.
  4. This is great parrot ,as a kid built most of these as models . Thinking that the spit fire was the be all end all of the era. Listening to this , weren,t all that great, guess the old German engineering had them stuffed. Sounds like a real character this old guy . great post even if its not rolla stuff. rob
  5. PBR R7098W You may be able to cross reference PBR brand across to others but this what your after. rob
  6. Read my first post again. The problem is that you have not told us what your trying to do?? We need more info on what your trying to achieve is a track car daily or hack up clubie ? What car is it? We are shooting in the dark. Hope this doent came across harsh but you need to no what it is you are trying to achieve. rob
  7. Dwarf has summed it up perfectly. What a pain in the arse in daily it would be. They a pain in rally car to get in and out. rob
  8. The steering arms are the same spacing as the xt as well as the tube lenght, caliper mountings are 90mm Both have same wheel bearings same solid rotor. The only difference ive found is some of the later xt had girlock calipers all the rest had twin pot sumitomo calipers. Which made no difference as they where interchangeable any way. I'm not sure about your rotor /lca clearance Tyler but i would think that what ever problems you have with xt130 would be the same as rt132 struts. As they are the same. rob
  9. They are the same strut as xt 130.
  10. If there is no blockage that end put the line back on the pump . Then remove the line on the carb side of the pump. Turn it over see what comes out. If nothing pump is shagged. If its pumping fuel ,blow the line out between pump and carb. If its got fuel to the carb do what GJM suggested See a pattern here. rob
  11. So theres no fuel ,take the fuel line off before the pump and put some pressure into the fuel tank . Remove cap stuff some rag around ,a air line .into tank see what comes out. Then try it the other way round listen for it bubbling in the tank. That will rule out blockage of the line.
  12. I m back to one now a member on here in tas bought the spare one. It seems the hydro ones where more common than cable type. The cable one seems very rare item to find but do save a lot of rooting around changing to hydro pedal box. I may be going a different engine soon ,just waiting waiting for rally rego and what new rules and hoops we have to jump thru. rob
  13. This is a great build to watch and some great skills. The rear end is vs commmodore ?in the first post ,but it 4 stud axles?? Love the skinned car in last post are you going to wall art him ha ha rob
  14. Yep forgot to ask what diff T series ??24mm axles or 25 mm axles??
  15. Lucky your not in nsw it would be a rite off the assesor wouldnt even look at it. I have a mate with a panel shop he said they told him if its 5 years old and has a dent its gone. Looking at that damage, and some of the cars i have seen so called (rite offs)yours would be so far gone its not funny. I hate insurance companys they are scum bags rob
  16. don't think you will buy rear quarters ,guards bonnet about the only panels youll get new. I would think you will have to make them or cut up a donar car. You could check rare spares site they use to do bits and pieces for the early ke. rob
  17. Just read all this fantastic job guys.I was half expecting a half ass butcher job with the title feral 4k ha ha but how wrong was i. Keep posting the progress. rob
  18. Its like boyd coddington build but more interesting,
  19. So being realistic Craig would this make the WRC this year or would you need to run a small event before hand??as a shake down. Ive got about 87 and a half questions for you as well  Rob
  20. Not the best picture, although you should get an idea of what's going on
  21. +1 for gas weld if you only use it now and then,no rental BS. I closed all my boc accounts and return there bottles and told them to gentley to shove there rental bs.
  22. The bearing spacer they talk about is a small ring on the axle retainer, which the t series doent have but the st141 axle retainers do. You could get some machined up and weld on to the t series retainers ,but why reinvent the wheel. Jake you might want check what diff you have, because they do bolt up. Not sure on shock mount may have to be moved mine was on ke55 so no trouble with shock mounts. rob
  23. You will need a st141 live axle as the irs disc set up is completely different. It is straight bolt up the only thing is you need longer bolts to hold the axle and new wheel bearings. If you find one get every thing including rear handbrake cables and most important the AXLES as you will have to use the st141 axle retaining plates. Hence you need to remove the wheel bearings to fit them. Every think else bolts up ,note that 13 inch wheels don't fit 14 is the min. rob
  24. Try W21047 Whiteline bush ,i think it was for a t18 or some thing but was 22mm. rob
  25. Wow!!so what sort of final weight are you thinking it will be Craig? I really need to lighten my old banger. Great work, rob
