Hey all probably about time i posted up some of my rides. Ill start with the KE20. I started the project basically because i built a 4AGE KE55 as a daily, but then i changed jobs and now I'm not allowed to drive it to work. (don't ask.) Therefore i needed another daily. I already had a shed full of KE spare bits but had never had a KE20 before, so made that my aim. Shes a 1971 Aussie manufactured Automatic model. DAY ONE Bought it as a shell off Ebay for a few hundred bucks. Actually was in a lot better condition than i expected. But had been sitting in the weather for years. Body was straight other than a few little dings, and only rust was surf…

A friend and I went for a look at a guys farm today who had 90+ cars laying in a paddock, we went armed with cash and a car trailor intending on bringing my mate home a valiant, instead I got this. The wheels were on a liteace van nearby (unfortunately the liteace only had a 4k or I would have bought that home too...) Guy wanted $300 for the car with stock wheels, but ended up shakinghands on $250 with the mags that had brand new tyres and we were on our way. When we were looking at it I am looking and thinking "parts car", but it has a lot going for it, apart from a cracked dash the seats are great, door cards overrated, minimal rust in all the usual places, …

Here's my story. I bought this one owner, high mileage 7AFE 5spd AE102 wagon back in Oct 2008 with plans of doing a swap but not the typical 4AG (ZE/20v) swap. It's my grocery getter / daily driver so my choice of engine would have to provide good low end torque without boost & have balls for passing as necessary. The only engine that met my needs in a FWD application was a redtop BEAMS (197hp / 152tq) from a 1998+ Toyota Celica SIII ST202. The engine was purchased in Mar 2009 from JDMSource out of Calgary, AB. The swap was done in Apr 2009 entirely by my good friend Adam from AMT Machine Shop which took a total of 9 business days! The rest shall we say is history…

When I got it the paint was faded and the whole car was in need of a good clean inside & out. The car itself is pretty overrated. After giving it a wash my dad suggested that I polish it up a bit to bring up the shine. After a whole day of hard work I finally got it looking like brand new. Before i got it, my uncle had a 2" e-system installed and had the head removed and replaced with a 3K head. It has cut spring all round and sits pretty nicely. Last year 2 days before my birthday I had to swerve a tourist and smashed up my beloved Sigma, so I needed to hunt for a new car and Murd pointed me towards KJ. Bought this car from him a couple months later: 4K motor. 3K Carby Already changed to 4K 5 Speed Trans. 2 1/2 " Hotdog Exhaust El Stocko. So far my plans running wise are to either: Put in a reconned 4K with Twin Webers and Lukey Exhaust system. Or. Simply save up the money for all suspension, brakes, transmission etc for a 20v 4AGE. Seeing as thanks to greenmac (Luc) and some others on the board, it is becoming a lot easier to fit without having to become a great welder/fabricator. …
