  1. can't believe your still alive! Ha ha! Keep the same motor si, love the "brap" sound it produces! Let us all know how you go, cheers!
  2. I don't mean to be rude, superpro/nolathane in my opinion are crap! Waste of money. Just had to replace all the bushes under one of my 30's, only got 5 years out of the bushes, they have just disintegrated and fallen apart, not happy! Back to rubber I go, cheers!
  3. You'll find that 9 times out of 10 the rubber seals have perished, inside the heater tap there is a piston type valve with rubber "O" rings, that's likely your problem, and yes, easy to pull out, just a couple of hose clamps and a sandwich bracket on the firewall. You don't need to remove the whole heater unit, just the heater tap. cheers!
  4. Looking good, they're going to good use! Yeah your right, one day a package will come up for the right price and i'll buy it..........hopefully, cheers!
  5. I'm jealous, I miss mine!
  6. Did you dial the cam in?
  7. Usually PBR/ clutch industries are common for letting go prematurely, I've had the same before.
  8. Pretty much most of these engines here were bolted up to turbo 700 auto's (TH700), I don't see why a t5 can't old the HP, they are the manual transmissions that came out with them here, cheers! People here can't even give them away......
  9. That is sssssssoooooooooo tight, I love it!
  10. What ever that last pic is, try doing that drunk whilst chasing tail...................ha ha!
  11. You can, preferably not permanently, it forms part of the structure of the windscreen rubber. cheers!
  12. Could also be the factory wiring is weak going to the starter motor, common problem with these. The "engaging" wire to the starter progressively weakens to the point where it doesn't have enough current to engage the starter, easily over come by installing a relay with direct power from the battery and using the weak wire as a trigger, cheers!
  13. Can't wait to get to this show and see the "focal point".........
  14. One of my 30's is a 511 code. Paint colour looks the same. I have always described this as a "Mustard yellow", although I could be wrong. In saying what you have said (in regards to a sample patch), In the past i have got three of the same paint codes mixed up at three different places , and all 3 mixes have been different shades of the same colour, Makes it hard when trying to identify the true colour? go figure.
  15. Own a range rover and you'll never say this again about your 70...............ha ha!
  16. That's awesome to hear! Congrates!
  17. Isn't that the truth..........
  18. Can't wait for you to bring it up, keen on seeing it!
  19. Multi or vice grips with a rag so you don't damage the thread, that's when I need to pull a mcguyver.
  20. Are you going to do a coded resto?
  21. Great first post! And yeah your car is familiar. Your engine certainly needed a freshen up anyways, pistons hitting bores isn't a good thing. you'll get it sorted, cheers!
  22. You can still buy new flexi brake lines, even the solid steel ones you can get made up for cheap. Just get your old calipers rebuilt, I got a pair done a couple of years ago and cost around the $150 mark for the pair, cheers!
  23. How fresh is the engine?
  24. 7k starter motor's seem to be smaller in physical size, so yeah, you'll have to get a high torque starter of the sort to over come your clearance issue, cheers!
  25. Your old 3k had this to match your body. Pollution gear..pdf
