Not sure if this is allowed, but thought i'll give it a go. Any questions related to your projects that you want to ask, goes here. Instead of the other topic being flooded by general and tech questions altogether... Will be very strict in here, so please, only tech questions only, all other stuff goes to the other topic. If possible, will trial a template to see how it goes, and also makes searching through the topic alot easier. Car: (eg. AE92, KE70, TA22) Engine: (eg. 4AGE, 4AC, 4AGZE, 3SGTE) Section: (eg. Engine, Brakes, Suspension, Wheels, Interior) Question/Problem: (eg. Can i fit item A to my car?) Thanks, Daven :)

Okay, we've now entered 2006, so it's probably time to start thinking about what new events we're going to hold this year. Here are some events I've been considering for 2006: Gran Turismo Championship - We use GT3 and have a playoff of some kind, just an idea that I'd like to receive feedback on. Cruise + Bowling/Go-Karting/Motorkhana - An event held in the same way we held the last cruise & motorkhana, with either bowling, go-karting or a motorkhana. Cruise + BBQ - This will cost money though. Definitely a dry season event. I'm open to other options. The real hard part this year is going to be trying to plan events whilst also planning a weddin…

Well, I thought I might start a thread specifically for the 2007 Rejex Rally so I can keep you all updated - not that I'll be able to post updates while I'm on the rally, but it's better than having this stuff lost amongst other stuff. So far to be prepared for the rally I have to do the following: Pack some clothes Top up the oil in the Starlet Finish editing and burn our soundtrack CD (it's a tradition, all right?) Load our tent, sleeping gear, spare wheels/tyres, esky, etc into the ute support vehicle. SLEEP!!! While this isn't a huge list of things to do, the problem is that I finish work at 4.21 today, drive home from Casuarina to Palmerston, have a q…

The 2008 Rejex Rally will be held starting on Saturday 2 August, and continuing to the end of Sunday 3 August. Entry forms have not been released yet, but I figure I'll give you guys a bit of warning in case any of you were considering entering. Entry costs about $250 per car, including entry, all meals, Rejex Rally shirts & stickers, but NOT accomodation. The event generally travels to Hayes Creek on the Saturday, and is either based from there for the Sunday, or travels to Katherine. All competitions are motorkhanas, plus a drag event, with NO on road events. It is NOT a race, so cars travel together at a maximum of 100km/h so the vintage cars can keep up. …

The Shannons Motoring Extravaganza is back on again in 2010, to be held at Winnellie Showgrounds on 22 & 23 May. This is a great event, with many wonderful cars and bikes often on display. Unfortunately due to scheduling problems, an event couldn't be held in 2009, so let's try and make 2010 huge to make up for it!!!! In 2008 we of RollaClub put on a display with four cars - this year I'm suggesting a display by a broader group of cars, but I'd love to see a strong turn out of Toyota performance cars. I'll be entering the GT-Four and Tim has said he'll enter the SW20. Would any of you be willing to enter your rides? Would be great to see the ST205 & SW20 si…

Hey, I understand that the T series diff out of a T18 fits into KE70s and AE71s, but I hear you can cut down a celica t series diff (RA60). But will this diff housing fit on a *E7* chassis? As in do the spring seats/4-links/panhard rod match up? And just wondering about taking car shells to simms. Do they buy them off you or is it a matter of you paying them to take it away? Any help would be appreciated - Cheers, Phil

Gday to who ever may be reading. I have recently obtained 2 COROLLA AE95 wagons. It is hoped that this will be a project to help my son to learn how to fix and appreciate looking after cars. We managed to get 2 identical wagons and was thinking of making one good one out of two old ones. But it is looking like it could be possible to do both of them up. One of them is not going and not yet sure what is wrong with the motor. But the other is being driven around. But maybe not for long as it is starting to blow smoke. Have been told it is valve stems. So next step is to take the head off and do it up. The problem that i now have is sourcing workshop manuals so a…

Hi all, I'm in need of a vehicle that can tow a loaded car trailer, preferably a ute. I'll pay fuel money or whatever, just need to be able to access it this Saturday to move my Celica's and other car parts from Humpty Doo to my place in Bakewell. If you can help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated - ideally if the ute came with a driver who could help move the gear, that would be great, but I can get it done on my own if needs be. Thanks, Adam

Okay Darwin guys. I will be finishing up working at Bridge Toyota Palmerston on either June 30 or July 1 (depends on what my boss wants). I will be changing to a job at Coles Palmerston (should start on July 4). This means it'll be a little bit more difficult to catch up with me (I'll actually have to do some work now :P). However, you can still contact me via RollaClub or if you want to check out my car either PM me or catch up with me at one of the Hidden Valley race meets (next one I'll attend will be August 28).

Okay all you Darwin-based guys. I want to try and get an idea of about how many hot Rollas there are getting around Darwin. Below are the ones I can think of. Please add to the list if you have seen any. Ideally we want to try and get the word out about rollaclub.com so the Darwin group can grow. Lola - My yellow KE55 with 4AGZE (not registered) White AE82 Seca - bonnet scoop & 20 valve stickers/badges There is also meant to be an AE92 getting around with an AE111 4AGZE & 6-speed tranny. Nothing that different, except this one supposedly has a T04 turbo as well.

Anyone else interested in attending the Flying Fox Festival in Katherine this year? Details are as above, and we could do a bit of a cruise down, maybe take the old Highway down for some nice windy-ish roads. :) I'll be going in the GT-Four.

Since none of you answered the question in general chat, poll time. As you all know I have a lip that I will be fitting in due time. As you all know I also plan on turboing the corolla. What I am think is when the lip is attached and the car is turbo'd is to modify the front bar so that the intercooler has an unrestricted path of air. The cut out would be the same size as the intercooler, I am sure you all know what I am talking about. Most of the hack front bars look like crap however if its done right they look ok. Thoughts?

Okay, a suggestion has been put to me by someone not related to RollaClub in anyway, and I want to put it out there: Would any of you be interested in joining a proper, formal club in the NT? Before you answer, please check the following: You would HAVE to attend meetings regularly. There would be monthly meetings and we would require a minimum turnout. So you don't have to attend every meeting, but we'd have to have at least ten people at each meeting. Of course, it would be preferred if everyone tried to come to every meeting. There WOULD be a membership fee - let's say $100 a year for instance. It would probably be less, but I want to know that everyone's …

Excuse the black-and-whitedness. :D As you should all know, another Streetcar Challenge has been organised, this one is for 8 June. Where the previous event was WRX vs. Evo vs. Other, this one will be Fours vs. Sixes vs. Eights (possibly vs. Rotaries if any enter). I will be there in the GT-Four in the hopes of doing a sub-1:30 lap time. I'm hoping a few of you will enter too, as it's a very cheap way to go racing ($5 more than lapsprinting, $15 less than Streetcar Shootout). For $25 you get to do about four races, with (I think) three laps per race. The winning team will be presented with trophies. Points will be awarded for each team members quickest lap, with…

G'day, Just turned my laptop on to find that it had run out of battery while the evil Ella was logged into this forum. So..........while I'm here I thought I might throw my hat into the ring and offer any assistance I can to RollaClub members needing advice on suspension set-up, tyre pressures etc with regards to Lapsprinting. About a million years ago I sprinted a white MR2 for a full season and gained some valuable knowledge in the process. As a former toyota guy I will be happy to pass on anything I've learned, particularly if it helps Toyota's go faster than Nissan's on racetracks. Cheers, Steve Allen

If anyone lives in the Darwin region, or knows anyone in the region, don't forget that the Hidden Valley Fun Day is on this Sunday 27th March. This will be my first outing in the Corolla, or any RWD car for that matter, so I will probably spin out (multiple times), so it will be too funny to miss. But seriously, it will be a great day, so please head on down, or at least mention it to people in the area. And don't forget that if you do come down, you should find me in the pits and say hello. Mention Rollaclub and I'll give you a ride in (the passenger seat of) the Corolla (JOYGASM!!!).

Okay guys, the next race meet at Hidden Valley is the V8's (July 3 & 4). The next meet after that (for anyone who wants to compete) is July 31. I won't be there as I'll be on the Rejex Rally. The next meet that I'll be able to attend is on Sunday August 28th. I should have Lola ready by then (please, please, please let me be right).

Hey Everyone I'm Chumps, I'm a member of rollaclub SA and I'm moving up to Humpty Doo, Darwin at the end of the year with family. I hope to become a part of rollaclub NT. I have a ke70 which has a 5k, extractors and a webber and i just wanted to ask a few questions like: - Is it hard to find ke70s up there? - How many events a year do you have on? - How often do you have cruises? Cheers, Ben

Okay, Daven's back in town, and it's been a while since the last event, so it's time for another NT RollaClub cruise. This will be the last one for 2007, so I'd like to see you all there. What date suits you all best? Options are: Thursday 20 December Friday 21 December Saturday 22 December Sunday 23 December I can do anytime on any of those days. I do realise some of you still have work commitments, so I presume it'll be Saturday or Sunday, but the options are there. Do we want to do a BBQ again like last time? Mainly I need to know your availablility - the rest I can do. And I want you ALL there - Saturdays are no good for Andrew (ae174agze) gene…

If anyone out there is living in the NT, please add a reply to this post so we can get an idea of who's out there. Also, please feel free to email me to notify me of your existence. The plan is to try and actually get some sort of events going up here (eg. cruises, drift days, etc). But first we actually need to find more than one NT resident (me).

Some of you may or may not have noticed that Daven (sirolla) now has a new title in his member profile. This is because I have asked the moderators to make him a Region Leader for the NT section. I am still Region Leader as well, but I wanted someone to help grow the club and improve it in the NT in 2008. I have selected Daven because he has been in RollaClub almost as long as I have, and has always been a great member. When he returns to Darwin full time in mid 2008, he will be able to contribute greatly to the NT section once again. Congratulations to Daven on this promotion of sorts - I hope you all make him feel welcome in this new role, and support him in …

If you are from the NT or Darwin, please add a reply to this post. That way we can get an idea of how many NT members Rollaclub has, so we can start organising meets. Remember, the first three NT members to reply here get a sticker! Yay! Hell, I'll even buy a beanie for the 100th NT member to post here (100th member, not 100th post).
