I recently bought a 82 ksev thats not running for a project! Hoping to one day soon take it to the track and drift professionally. I'm only young and have only a little bit of mechanic experience but i'm hoping to learn from experience. Theres not much i can say other than the car wasnt in great condition when i bought it but i'm not really fussed as i only payed $180 for the whole thing. It was full of old car shit for another car of his that he has to come pick up soon,so the passenger seat was taken out. Well here's the latest purchase and yes it was the one advertised on this forum. I don't understand why no one else snapped it up ?, original 51,000kms, factory 5 speed and absolutely NO RUST!. Car drives like new even has the original Uniroyal SR78 tyres, drivers seat needs a small repair and there are a couple of small dents which i'm going to have the paintless dent man attend to and after a buff and polish all the original factory paint will come up a treat.

Hey Guys, New here and just purchased my first KE20 1973, like the title says 25,000 original miles, owned by an elderly lady from new, she drove it up until ten years ago when she lost her license, the car was then stored in a garage up until two months ago when she passed and left the car to her son who sold it to me. And I know why.....I love it!!! Future plans are to upgrade engine to possibly 4AGE 20V, new wheels (14 inch), full respray and suspension upgrade. Right so my Sprinter needs some paint and panel to get it up to where I would like it. I have spent far too much on the running gear for it to be sitting in the shed while I get that sorted. I have been looking for a neat AE71/KE70 to put the running gear into. I have had a couple of close ones where I was just a little too slow with the coin but maybe it is all for the best. Picked this up during the week, local car with only 141,000km. Little bit of surface rust in a couple of places but the normal spots that are bad for rust in these are clear. I bought the ke30 2dr in September 2004 transported it on a trailer to my garage and left it. It sat untouched until in May this year I finally got my lazy ass out to the garage and started having a look at what I could do. It needed a whole new interior but I figured an engine refresh was the first thing to do so that at least I could drive it around while I slowly fixed the interior. So I stripped it down to the block, had the cam reground, obtained a 3k head as it had a 4k head on it :D as has been documented elsewhere on this site. G'day all.. Bought an EA Falcon off a forum member for a bargain price last week, took delivery of it on Friday night.. its my boonger and I love it ;). As it sits, it runs the 3.9L powerhouse (!), three speed auto (should have put oil in it for the trip home) and an unknown ratio diff. Its 'chardonnay' in colour, complete with faded paint! Interiors great except for a few little bits and pieces, which I'll replace sooner rather than later.. Plans I plan on tidying up the interior by getting another centre console (this ones rooted, chronic plastic cancer), seat covers and floor mats. Background story: I bought this ke20 in 2006 in below average condition and have spent the last three years fixing rust, stripping the entire under body, the interior and exterior paint. The floor pan, engine bay and under body were coated in por15, while the exterior received a bare metal respray. Hey all, I have been looking around asking dumb questions for long enough I thought I should make a contribution to this wonderful site. Here is my 1980 Toyota Corolla Ke55 with a 4k and 5 speed manual. This is how it looked when i got it and I drove it this way for a few years. Then I became obsessed and started doing things..... Got venetians and put nicer Ke30 lights on. Ahhh ... much better.... Then painted window surrounds black and got some 40 dollar steal rims to replace the stockies. They look great. Was fitted with a silvertop 20V which ran like shit, had a welded diff, dodgy as hell falcon rear springs, bald tyres inflated to 8psi, shagged rear wheel bearings, sloppy steering rack... and a few other awesomeness features. This summer a buddy and me were going to the North Cape, a story you can read here. In short, I sent my white '82 KE70 off the road 150 miles down the trip and bought another '82 KE70 the same day. In two months I've put 5k miles on it and it's worked like a charm. Prior to the unintended offroading with the white car I was going to tear it down and build it up like a pre-facelift with JDM front lights, chrome bumpers and more.
