Finally I got around to take some pics. I'm a swedish KE70 owner who bought the car about a month ago. It's so far pretty much stock, but some changes are slowley begining at happen (it's a bit hard to get cool parts here.. :( ). The back side. A new exhaust is on it's way. The front side. I'm Krystle, from Sydney, I'm a newie to the rolla club... i know i prob sound a bit blonde (i don't really know nethin about cars) but i need advice! ive got a lil green '80 KE55 2door corolla... i luv it! but its got a rust - at the rear window and above rear tyres rego comes up in da nxt few weeks I'm at uni.. so I'm on a bit of a budget! :lmao: do i spend the money on it and get the rust out and get it re-sprayed (like how much is that?) or do i sell it? i also need a new front bumper, side left panel and a new bit around rear window what shud i do? do u reakcon its worth me fixing it up? HELP! :D

WOW!! I wish I had known about this forum years ago! Ok, so this is my beast. Its a 1984 4spd 1.3 Ke70. Thats a Corolla btw! :P I bought it about 6 years ago for $500 with 96k on the clock. I'm pretty sure the car sat in someones driveway for most of its life as although the paint was somewhat chalky the interior and general condition of the car where A1. The first thing I did to the car was searching through wreckers for a centre console. Found it, bought it, Sweet. Hub caps were also put on the car. Well, as some of you now know, I have bought me another corolla. Its #3 that i own and it actully runs!! Anyway heres the car: As you can see, it still has the advertising from the previous owner (doin my part for rollaclub :D ) Specs are as follow '83 AE71 CSX, was auto Some poopy 4k motor and 5speed Home done bodge job on rust Resprayed (turned out pretty good imo cept for some "birdshit" imperfections) Plans for it are: Newer motor convo (top 3 atm are rb20/3sge/1zzfe) Fix up paint Rego!!!! Hey i got some pics of my seca's and thought id chuck em up for everyone to see, The red one is just a stock twincam 16 valve 86kW with a 5 speed that i brought to have as my car as i don't wanna ruin the family car (the green 1) which is just the 4A-C with a granny shift (AUTO). picked up another '74 ford courier (mazda b1600) gonna start from scratch on this one my original '77 2.3 was running fine, but getting really bad gas milage (15mpg), and used a qt. of oil per 600-700 miles i found out why.....;

The brakes are finally on the car!!! Now all that is left to do to finish the brake system is to make the lines to hook up the master cylinder... Mmm, big brakes :D More photos on my photo page

geoff scored me a good ke30 last week, id been toying with the idea of 4x4 or club car but decided to stop mucking about and just build a clean show car instead, ive a fair idea what i'll be doing but was hoping for a little input as to what motoring mags and show judges are looking for i plan to build what i want but i hope to end up with something that puts me at a photo shoot with one of those beeuutifull girls you see draped over cars haha (and I'm not a sterio person so unless someone out there is bored and rich thats not getting done)

hey fellas ... I am in possession of 1 x 1974 KE30 2-door sedan, the 20,000th KE30 produced too :D The car has a small amount of rust in engine bay, that will be taken care of shortly. The car will be painted XR6 orange via a workshop where i know a guy ;) I have a j-spec mazda B6T engine that i plan to transplant into her, using an MX5 gearbox (since the motor was east-west from FWD tx3). These motors were rated at 115kw stock i believe. Hey guys, I own a 1975 KE30 Corolla sedan. Its basically standard apart from wheels. Has some nasty rust in a few places aswell as a few dings around the place but its not too much trouble to fix considering I am a panel beater. I will be doing a conversion to a 2002 BEAMS 3SGE Blacktop with 2004 model 6 speed box(and a few other goodies). I am just waiting for the engine to be checked out by someone because I can't inspect for myself before I buy. Hoping in will be here in the next 3-4 weeks, if not sooner. Hey all. Finally got my camera back from my old ladys so i could take some pics of my car. Its all stocko apart from the 2" exaughst, the cheepo steering wheel which all came with the car and the 2kg of bog in the rear gaurds. I have a funny feeling either an old retierd couple owned this car for 90% of its life or its been well serviced as it runs like a dream. sorry guys about the last post :D ok well i have decided against the xr6 turbo ute for the fack that I'm 18 and no one will touch me in it lol so i have turned back to the all mighty rolla. ok in the start of december i will be taking all runing gear out of it and every bit of interiour and sending it away 2 be beed blasted . then upon return i shal spending a lot off time seam welding and touching up lil imperfections. the car will be painted in house off colour candy apple green with prismatic witch is like a glitter but better lol . ok i am droping a stock sr20det untill futher funds for modifacations then will be sending the head for sum mino…

I'm a relatively new poster here (long time reader) and thought I might chuck up some pics of my DD and Project KE25. Stock KE55 beater, complete with dodgy manual conversion, 50% compression on #1 Cylinder and noisy tappets! Project KE25, currently being stripped for small rust repairs/acid dip/respray and a FULL rebuild/restoration of every single mechanical/electronic/interior component. That's it! You've all seen it before in the other thread but I thought I would post it here so I could update it as the car progresses. For those who don't know, this car was bought for $250 off ebay. It started life as a lowly KE70 S trim povo pack. It was powered by a completly standard 4K in front of a 3 speed auto. Not very exciting at all. Here are some pics of when I bought it. i have a toyota corolla cs 85-87 model. it was given to me as a christmas present. but it came with a dodgy paint job and nothing done to it. i have lots of money and many ideas of what to do. CAR. 1983 ae71 panel van not yet completed MOTOR. 4ac, head work done, no exsaust, messy look wireing {latest thing out of japan} and a performange batery that falls over if you go to fast. oh and a gear box that jams in 4th. Well i've had her for just over a month now. Interierours pretty clean for its age. Few small cracks here and there in interiour. So far myself and mates have concentrated on removing rust and tiding it up a bit when we've got free time. Bit of background on car 1982 (month younger then me) CS ke70. White with blue interiour. Hey guys, well i have been trawling these forums for a long time as they provide a valuable source of info about corolla's , I brought this car in May this year for $500 off a 60yr old lady who had owned it for the last 15yrs, it had the pink slip done (dodgey will get to it later) all it needed was a renewal and insurance cost me $800 all up. So i drove it around for a while (still on L's) and then one day i decided i'd take the wheels off it and clean them, while they were off i thought i'd check the disc pads and shoes. And what a fright i got, it was metal on metal on the front and there was 1mm of shoe left on the rears, and they passed it? dodgy bastards…

Originally the Easy Rolla was going to be used as a motokhana car for me & my son however situations change and it now looks like being my daily driver. This has resulted in a need to rethink the whole direction of the car and a new plan has been born.
