As you might have guessed from the title I have another AE71 now. For those who don't know, deemed my other AE71 too rusty to be worthwhile registering, you can find it here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17235 I bought my new one about a week ago now. Its very similar to my other one (another AE71 duh) but its got a few differences. 1. Its auto :hmm: 2. Its slightly a different color silver-green as opposed to silver on the other. 3. Its only done 158,000k's. 4. Its currently registered until June. 5. Windows are tinted. Most importantly though, its got A LOT less rust. Now for some photos, these were taken on the day I went to see it:…

Hi guys, I've got an AE71 panno that I'm currently building up and I need some advice on what colour to change it to. It is currently beige (with black primer and rust highlights) and so far my options are: 1. Gloss black (Silhouette from BF Falcon). 2. Midnight purple (R33 GT-R) 3. Beige with wood look side panels (with gold lowrider style wire wheels) The respray will be done roughly when I get my tax refund this year. Any thoughts on these options (or others) will help me out heaps. I'll try and put some photos up shortly.

We call it the sexmachine because no girl could possibly resist anyone that drove tis car... Here she is the way I bought her, Oh my god, Check out the sexyness!!!! After I calmed down from bying this sweet ride, after all my only other car was a 300zx painted lambo orange. how could it compete!!?? I did a few basic mods, mp3 player, some 15"silvia rims polished chrome, removed pinstriping, and a few things to actually make it useable like a functioning carbie (thanks trev), a rust free fuel tank and a non perferated radiator. Oh and a full lock kit so I could acces my boot and fuel cap! pretty cool huh... This is what it looked like after th…

Hi everyone this is my corolla story, i bought the car a little ova a year and half ago for $200 with the intention to do a hilux motor swap. Soon realizing that if i was going to change the engine i may aswel make it worth it hahaha. It sat in my parents garage for the best part of 6 months while i decided what to do with it, in that time i prepared the car for painting and striped it, i purchased a half cut from the local jap shop and mum and dad arrived home from work one day to find half a car being craned of a flatbed into their driveway taking up more space. With the threat of being kicked out i had to send the car of to get motor in. Its now back at my place to get…

Fisher and myself have decided to have a little fun with an AE71 Spirit. Firstly made possible by Fisher getting another daily (RA40 Celica). The stripping has been done, with the cleaning still happening (got to love getting rid of lovely fur and glue :P) and also a few more electrical wires and bolts to be taken out, but we would rather take our time on that side. The motor will be a 2TG, which has plans for a full rebuild with porting, shaving, racing cams, fuel injection and a supercharger. At the moment it looks like an Eaton M45 S/C will be adapted to be suitable for the 2TG with no intercooler as this stage. Extractors are already equipped, just need to m…

well i jsut got an ae71 wagon. i thought it might kind of fit in here so i may aswell post it up, well except the semi flashy paintwork. its all stock except for the paint and those sub boxes that came in the boot. I'm just planning to replace a few parts and then get it up for rego and build it up as a nice daily driver as i get the money. the 4ac sounds pretty beefy with no muffler or air filter, so I'm not sure of how much if a downgrade it will be from my twincam seca. :)

Hey everyone, So it appears I've been a member since 2010, I must've signed up and never done any more haha. My mates have all had Corolla's (more then what I can count of two hands), and after selling my ridiculous idea of a street car S13, I spent some dosh on other bits n bobs and found myself a 'daily'. Cheap, reliable, functionable. She's a 1984 AE71 Wagon. Manual, 270,000 km's. Noticed it had bigger rear drums and a filler/drain plug in the diff, and the driveshaft appears to be welded/customized, which my mates reckon means its from an ADM AE86 ('F' series?). The inspiration for my wagon: (There's many more sedans, and one pano, haha) And …

Hi guys, I've been wanting to put up my rolla for a while now but haven't had the time. Now i do so here it is!! I bought the car pretty much as it is now only less most of the interior and a butt load of wiring issues, so when i got it i had to wire up all new lights, wipers, guages, dash cluster, tacho and speedo. I also had to replace all the plastic parts of the dash as they were in a pretty bad way!! Two new front seats new tyres and a very helpful roady guy later and it now registered!! That said i am still having a few issues with the car that you guys may be able to help me out with. The first and most prominent issue is the idle. When i start the car…

This is my beast.. an AE82 4AC. Its not really worth lookin at, unless ya go for pussbuckets. I thought id post it up as I'm new to these parts. Besides, it looks shockin now, but it'll get there eventually. The idea is to leave it as a 4AC, and try and squeeze as much out of the N/A as i can while keepin it reliable. I'm mostly interested in concentrating on everything else. As long as it looks respectable, and goes relativley hard, then I'm happy. I painted the front end black to try the colour. Not bad for a few spray packs and a porta-shed. That paint has s**t itself since i did it a few months ago, so it now looks worse then before i did it. Ill d…

Hey guy's pretty new to these forums as I just recently brought a AE82 1986 SECA. I brought it from my dads friend who owns Toyo Spares / Wreckers up sort of near lilydale. Brought the car for $3k, which included 7 months rego + name transfer fee's, RWC and everything that needed to be done for that (new windscreen, front right light, wipers + wiper washers etc) Engine has been reconditioned and had $2.5k spent on it... currently has 15,000km on it the body has 269,000km. Everything's in pretty good condition usual rust in the usual spots no dints or scratches, straight body. Usual so so... Once i got it around 1 week ago i gave it a good wash and wax, instal…

Greetings, I've been meaning to try & compile a thread about my other-half... I mean my car build (takes all my time & money, may as well be :P ) for a while now so here goes. It all started out back in 2006 when I became the (not-so) proud owner of an AE80 Hatch which was affectionately named Blue Thing after I discovered the 2-AC engine & 4 speed manual box not really good for much other than getting from A-B rather slowly unless pushed hard. I did however gain much driving practice after being a pizza delivery guy for a few years & found I had a liking for the handling characteristics of these little hatches, just needed a bit more poke. …

Against my better judgement I bought this twincam. Been looking for a nice one for months but I couldnt find one here in Brisbane. I was sold on the fact that it had all its A/C gear even though its not working. Also ive seen a few lately and all needed work. After getting it home and up on car stands I realized that it was totally rooted and that I should get rid of it asap. I already have a KE30 project. My AE101 daily is getting old but Its still rego'd so after thinking it over for some time I decided to keep the AE82 and fix it. I'm hoping to get it back to pretty much stock but lowered with nice wheels and suspension improvements. I want to paint my KE30. Ill paint …

picked this AE82 Rolla up for 1200 bucks with 336k's, unfortunately its got the 4ac 5speed in it. when i first drove it, it had no power and was clearly something ignition wise was not right. On saturday i spent the day just going over it to see if it needed anything for a roadworthy and all i could find was a number plate and tail light bulbs, gapped the plugs and cleaned the dizzy and rotor button and took it for a squirt but it was still down on power. Came back and checked the dizzy once more and noticed that it was spark timing was fully retarded and so with a few little movements and test drives its now sweet as and goes like a stabbed rat and for 336k's i think its…

Hi everyone. My partner and I spotted this AE82 SECA at the side of the road for sale, and we both thought it would be a great first car for my step-daughter, who is 15 now, to learn in and drive once she gets her P plates. I went and talked about it to the owner, and took it for a test drive, and by the end of the day we had placed a deposit on it. It's a 1987 Corolla SECA CSX. 4A-C engine, done just over 300,000kms. 5 speed Manual. Power steering and air-conditioning. Alloy wheels. Drives very nicely. It's currently unregistered and did not come with a Roadworthy. Got to do a few things done before it will pass a Victorian Roadworthy. This is w…

Heys, this is my first post and I would love to share my corolla with everyone on rollaclub :hmm: A bit of history. My dad brought this car brand new in 1987, he brought the car to woo my mom, at the time they were still dating :D. For $10000 not bad at all, base trim came without stereo and speakers, cloth interior and manually cranked windows. My dad even told when I was a little boy, that one day that the car will be mine, and now as part of destiny the car is mine! I've been the driving the car for two years now, when I first received it, there was 122xxx on the cluster, now its 132xxx. The car has been maintained fairly well, regular oil changes and spark plu…

Hey all. After my KE25 rego ran out, i registered a celica to drive around. Got sick of that fairly quick, so i was searching again. Saw an ae82 twinky for sale (In Town, So much more appealing) so i just had to have a look. Went and had a look, and a drive. Was very happy with it, after a quick rust check and general look over decided to buy it. He was asking 1600, but i just asked what would he be willing to take. So i ended up paying $1000. Original good condition, hasnt been Molested for wheels, stereo etc. Interior is still in nice condition. White Paint (had a 50% chance of getting this colour anyway ;)) Will get some pics of it tomorrow. Might even…
