gday all where is the fuel level sender on a ke55? i found 1 wire on the tank and that was a earth? i had a look underneath couldnt see shit, fuel level? anyone? Evan

The little stick on my petrol gauge always seems to be sitting in the same spot, just above half. I'll fill it up and it'll go down to there, but then it sits there for a fair while. Like I'll drive about 60k's or so and it won't move at all, and then it'll slowly start going down again. Could it be because my car is more fuel economic when its half full or something or is it actually stuck? I don't really wanna be driving along and think my tank is half full and suddenly run out of fuel... So what's going on and what do I do? EDIT: I figured if the gauge wasn't working it would be electrical so I thought this was an ok place to put it...

Hey i recently purchased a new cluster, cause my one was stuffed with the oil pressure gauge and one of the light bulbs wouldnt work on it, was the actual circuit of the old cluster, never the less, i purchased a new one. and i wanted to put my white face speedo gauges on them, soo i took apart the cluster thinking it was easy... and i took off the hands and everything put the white faces on and tried it all out.... none worked... soo i assumed the hands might be the issue, soo had a bit of a play around and got the heat gauge, speedo, revmeter and battery meter working, its just the fuel and oil pressure gauges that don't work and i still suspect the speedo hands, i …

my ke35 4age small port conversion has a thermo fan set up, ive noticed my fan only kicks in when my (cheap may not be to accurate) aftermarket temp gauge reads around 97 to 100 degrees.....now it only reaches this temp when idle in traffic, i want to have an in cabin switch which allows me to turn fan on earlier but will still allow the thermo to come on when it needs to as it does now....... what wires do i tap into to allow a switch in cabin??? :dance:

Hello, I recently bought a Isotta Steering Wheel and it came with a Shifter light. although I'm having trouble installing it, as i don't understand where i can plug the power in, let alone where it gets the RPM readings from. the only input on the shifter is an input that is similiar if not exact same to a standard telephone cable. So if anyone has a rough idea, please share some light on me haha Thanks

Not being very experienced with this sort of thing I had friends helping me and when it came time to grind the block the alternator was still connected to the motor and got covered in metal filings. I blew it out with the compressor as best I could. The car is together and was running but I have no battery light on the dash. I'm pretty confident the wires were hooked up properly. hey guys I'm getting a ke70, its got a silver top 20v 4age with wolf 3D computer with hand controller. the guy who i am getting it off says it just needs the loom put threw the firewall and power put to it but i am only guessing it is a lot harder then it sounds lol... but if any 1 could give me a ruff idea on how to do it or how much it will ruffly cost for some 1 to do it, that would be sweet... ok so i was leavin comp tuning and it started missing, i pulled over and checked the afm, cas, tps etc all ok, stopped missing, went to repco, bought some shit then as i left, i reversed out of the drive way, went to take off and the car died, i have no ignition power to the computer, the fuel gauge don't work, the handbrake light don't work, but the stereo works and the clock works... have checked all fuses and relays can't fault it. on the firewall, in the engine bay is the standard connector for start and ignition power, there is start signal but no ignition power to the computer but there is ignition power at the ignition switch and at the 2 connectors after it? r…

hay guys ive got a 4age in my ae71 and a little wiring problem. medicine man did the wiring for me, when we tested the blinkers right hand side worked fine but the left hand side went fast like it was missing a bulb, so didnt think any thing of it, when i tried to fix it buy putting a new bulb in i realised that they were all fine and when i acctually put my blinker on and had a close look i found out that the parker and the top blinker pulse really fast and the bottom blinker does not com on at all. any help would be grate. med- man will probs know straight away. haha cheers guys jed

hey well my car is gay, when i put it in reverse it triggers the starter motor to kick over. tryed to chase the wire under the dash but had no luck its was a auto 4k now a manual 4agze anyone got a idea of where to look? cheers

Hey, I'm just wondering how i can fix my hazard lights as they are not working :lol: , is it a fuse problem or wiring? or both..

In my 1983 panel-van AE71, the Low-fuel warning sender does not work. But I don't know how the sender actually works. :bash: When I short out the wire to "frame", the orange low fuel light comes on steady. I was told it should be flashing after a while But when the tank is empty (bone dry) the light is not indicating and the resistance is around 40 ohm. I like to fix the original sender... but how does it work? ;) Does anyone know? I have not been able to find any info about the operation of low-warning light. (The fuel quantity-sender works perfectly OK and accurate) I hope there is a bright spark amongst you lot, as finding a spare sender is very diffic…

ok ill start with a bit of history, its a ae 92 seca sx 4age .its got fuel power at coil but no power at dissy no spark at plugs .after any idea,s on what could be wrong .thanks in advance.rick

As stated i have fuses in my car that keep blowing. Indicators and clock are the only ones so far. Is there a way to find a short? Really have no idea when it comes to electrical as I'm a boilermaker. Any help much appreciated. Cheers Troy

hi guys i'm hoping someone on here can help me, the past few days of extreme heat here in melbourne was not kind to my little corolla, as a consequence my brake lights and rear indicators have gone nuts. symptoms: when all the lights and brakes are off, the indicators work fine. when the brakes are on, the brakes pulse slowly and the opposite indicator pulses. with the lights on and the brakes off the tail lights flash at a normal speed and so does the opposite indicator. with the brakes and lights on the entire rear end (both brakes and indicators) light up, no pulsing or flashing. i'm confused as to where it might be because the front indicators and the dash…

As the topic description states, I have a fantastic KE30 clock, and as they hardly ever work well I was wondering if anyone knew of a replacement. From a different car, A 2 dollar shop they have found one in? Oh yea, i would like it to look like its suposed to be there :( Or a way to make it work well, would be good? FIXED! I don't even know what i did.....but it works now, so i am not asking questions I dug around for ages looking for the wireing diagram, it goes onto the cigarette lighter fuse if anyone was interested. Quick question, where does the interior light get its power from? So i can see were the problem is. I have put test light onto the plug and nothing, So it has no power. Globe is fine. Has anyone changed the alternator in a ke11 from the external to internal regulated type? There is an extra wire going to the regulator compared to other KE’s (I think) which is for the “Turn Signal Flasher” I understand that when changing to internal type reg the Charge Warning Light wire runs straight to the alternator but I don’t know where to put the Turn Signal Flasher wire. Could I just join it to the Charge Warning Light wire and to the alternator?

Hey guys! I've got a problem with my high beams, when i pull the indicatoir stick towards the wheel the high beam works when i push it forward to turn off low beam and on to high beam the high beam lights go out. The parkers and all other lights stay on but just don't seem to have high beam unless i pull the stick towards the steering wheel which is getting really annoying driving down the road with one hand on the indicator lever and one hand on the wheel. I've checked numerous amounts of wiring diagrams i have but can't seem to find a relay of any description, any ideas?

Hi, I'm currently putting in a 2tg with twin carbs into my T18 and have come accross a problem... I'm in need of a wiring diagram for a T18/TE72... in particular the engine bay diagram... i need to wire up my coil, as the standard coil wire's were cut out when i converted to 4age...stupid wiring guy did it without telling me... this is one of the last things i need to get the car running any help is appreciated Cheers

Hi guys,need some help with a 4age I am trying to get running.It appears to have no pulse to the injectors. The spark is fine and the engine will start and run for a couple of seconds if you manually feed it fuel through the intake.The engine is an AE86 big port with a MAP sensor.All the earths appear fine.I have power to the injectors but no negative pulse.The engine had previously been fitted to ke70 and was supposed running fine when it was parked up.It has sat for about 5 years. Any ideas on what could be the cause? One thing which seems odd to me is that the TVIS solenoid is energised when the ignition is turned on.I would not expect this to be normal but having l…

so a couple days ago i drove home from work and all was well, i then went out to get some food and alas no indicators, not that bad i guess but have no idea what caused it or what the actual issue is. and I'm sure everyone i drive around thinks I'm an ass now when i don't indicate to change lane turn corners ect. i am assuming it is either the flash can or the combo switch, but i am not exactly sure what or where the flasher can is. ive looked in the drivers side side plastic panel and there is wires everywhere and not much else so i put the cover back on and decided to leave it alone. also today being rather warm i decided i would put some air on and alas absolutely …

1990 Corolla GTS 4AGE FWD I have had this car for about 5 years now, my cousin had it before. As long as both of us could remember the electric cooling fan runs soon as the ignition is turned 'on' or when the car is running...then the fan runs constantly never shutting off. I have replaced the fan relay switch(fuse) and the temp switch (or ETC I think its called?). Hasnt fixed the problem. I have two different repair manuals both have really no info on the problem of running continually (Chilton and Haynes manuals). Hey, i just bought a 1975 KE30 2 Door, and i have found a few things wrong with it, which i need to fix, and was wondering on price and where abouts to get them fixed... Firstly, the fuel gauge doesn't work, how much and where? The lights in my dash don't light up? Headlights and everything else works...again, how much and where? Any help would be great.. G'day. I been thinking about putting some lights under my dash to light up the floorpan area. My question is, would this wiring system work? I was going to get a 5v converter and a 3 way switch. I turn on the system with a separate switch then select what color i want my floorpan to be. I.e, Red, Green or Blue. As you can see the LED's are all hooked up by one earth lead. Positive is controlled by the 3 way switch and will only supply power to the led colour that is selected. As red is selected, only red LED's are lit up. What do you think? Let me know, good or bad. I have a kia Sportage fixing that the the sensor in the key switch is getting the imobilizer hot even when the key is out. Would love some sort of info on disconnecting the imobilizer box for good.

Hi, i have a brand new Microtech LT10s sitting here, when i ordered it i was going to be building a turbo 4age, from a MAP sensor, Dizzy, Bigport now i have changed paths...i am going to be building up the 4age with quad throttles etc can i use the base map that is currently on the ECU for the NA setup? or will i have to send it back to microtech and shell out some $400 odd to get them to put a new base map on it? any help will be appreciated cheers

Hi there guys, As some of you may have read, i recently bought an 83 model ke70 & it has a brand new battery in it but the alternator isn't charging. The alternator looks like its brand new & just come off the shelf. I've had a search through here & google and have found a couple of diagrams to make sure it's all wired up properly (which it seems to be), but it still doesn't seem to be charging. There is a thick white wire & a smaller yellow/white trace wire that go from the engine bay fuse box into a 2 pin plug on the alternator. They have power when the car is off. ok calling on experts. i have almost finished nutting out my wiring loom. but i'm trying to hide all the wiring. so i don't want the fusebox that come with the stock loom. sooo my dilema is.. from what i can inferr is that the alt and the starter and injectors all run off of two relays linked? if this is the case can someone please draw me a diagram of how i can go about getting differetn relays and wiring them together?

hey guys, having a few problems with my ke35,have pulled the motor out to repaint the bay,now ive put it back together the car is refusing to start, its not the battery(tried 3 different ones) the wiring to everything has been checked and is all connected right,but i turn the key and all i get is a click under the dash,thats it,WTF? :) Can anyone shed some light on what it might be :P

hey all, my ke55's brake lights,reverse lights and hazard lights were working fine this morning however i noticed now that they don't work. When I turn on the park lights the tail lights work. When I indicate to one corner they work. however when I go into reverse, step on the brake pedal and turn my hazard on, none of them work. I also noticed that my front park lights have died. I had a look under the dash and all the fuses are intact. I had a look and in the engine compartment theres a fuse that has a wire going to the horn. Just one fuse. Hi all, the charge light in my ke30 is on, could someone please tell me what this means?? I checked all my electrical connections and such and they all seem fine and my car drove fine last night and this morning....any ideas?? also, my gas gaugge moves up very slowly and I'm sure it reads wrong because I canrt have used $60 worth of gas on a 10km trip to work.. please help. thanks in advance..
