  1. Doesn't really make sense that my turbo 5k make more power than this!?
  2. Sorry mate but has to be said - I know you're meaning the TURBO COMPRESSOR WHEEL. Hence turbo will need a new wheel, housing and obviously a re-build. I'd just hate to see somebody buy the car thinking that all that needs to be done is fit a new ENGINE cooling fan and boost away.
  3. On the guard as per first pic, then you can keep the coil in its original spot. Also make sure you mount the MSD on rubber. Did it come with the rubber mount kit?
  4. Thats brilliant news mate. How did you end up getting them back...... and do you know who stole them? Sure we can get a linch mob together!!
  5. I can clean out the dribble if you want mate? Just PM me if you do.
  6. Um..... why do you have an oil breather plugged into your radiator overflow bottle. I understand having "waste fluid" going into one bottle (a mate had a race car like this) but it didn't let the radiator suck water back up if it needed to. If yours does its just going to get oily water!
  7. Its a custom single rotor not a 13b..... tecnically I suppose you could call it a 7b. Apparently it was for sale on trademe for $17,000!!!
  8. There wasn't a whole lot of interest in this thread so I haven't really bother much with it. Might just have to set a date for one and if we have 2x people rock up so be it.
  9. Good to see you're searching mate, but you don't need to ask the same question in every thread about EFI or dizzys on RC. Go back to your car electrical thread and I'll sort you out there.
  10. Struts are the same in both 30 and 55. Just swap the 55 calipers (and brake lines) onto the 30 struts and discs. The 55 discs are only like 1mm thicker so there's not much point swapping discs. Just less work that way.
  11. Sheldon's on holidays in Aus at the moment so don't expect a reply anytime soon. And Mick E - he's not the sort of guy who like getting stuffed around so if you deffinately want a set save up, contact him and purchase. Don't be asking him heaps of questions an try and barter price cause he'll loose interest real quick. Oh and he's in Oamaru not Dunedin.

    4k Efi

The ECU needs a trigger from somewhere in the ignition to fir the injectors. It would most likely get this from the coil (just like a tacho does) as a "Coil negative" trigger.
  13. Oh......... my......... god! :) Atleast the first guy didn't drink the octane booster!!! :P
  14. Its in the parts trader here also. :P
  15. I'm pretty sure T series and R series motors, while the look very similar have different head flanges. What I am sure on though is that you can use the 3tgte manifold on the 3tc. The turbo flange isn't a T3 tough, the CT20/26's have a pretty much square flange. Saying that though you can make an adapter pretty easy to run a T3 turbs. :P
  16. Depending on exactly what you want the car for just large extend or BP 13b.... hell even 12a would be plenty for a corolla. You know its never stay as "just a stock" S4/5 motor. It'll end up pushing 300+rwkw :P
  17. Yeah! Super Sedan? Suppose its got a v8 in it though!? :P
  18. brap brap brap brap......... you know you want to! :P
  19. Weld em up. :P The bog just won't have enough to hold onto.
  20. :P oh and PS, a 3k is 1200cc
  21. Retrimming looks really good mate, well done. :P Just a couple of things on your future plans: I used to live above a business called Car Accessory Installs (for like 7 years) so I've learn a bit about stereos and other bits and pieces in that time. One of the demo cars for the business is an RA40 celica which has had the electric window conversion done in it. I remember one of the guys who did its saying to me when I suggested them for my mazda "If you had of done the celicas windows you WOULD NOT suggest that again. The celica was such a bitch to do that I never want to have to do elec windows in a car ever again." And that was from a guy who installs this sort of stuff every day. They were using one of those univeral winder kits. Also as for your rear speakers, splits aren't really neccesary as they're only really a "fill". A set of 2/3 way components are all you really need as you've got a decent set of splits for the front stage. Plus they would be a whole lot easier to fit as you don't need to stuff around with mounting tweeters in the C pillars or somewhere else. And (not sure if you've got amps already) the money you would save in the price difference between splits and components would be a lot better spent going towards an amp to drive the splits (or all 4x speakers) which would give you a much nicer all round sound. .... but hey what would I know. I'm only a audio visual technician/salesman. :)
  22. Gemi etc nikki's are an upgrade...... but not by much. With the other mods you have or are planning you really need at least a downdraft weber, or if you can afford them go with some dual sideys. SU's wouldn't be as good as dual webers but they would be better than the downdrafts (nikki or weber) if you've already got them.
  23. Hey mate, I've got a zuk ute aswell but mines a Maruti (indian mate zuk) LWB. Its still currently got the Maruti 1lt in it but will soon be running a 7kc. 3400rpm @ 100kmh doesn't sound too bad at all, but this may be due to your 31's.....and the 5speed. Mines only a 4speed so @ 80kmh I reckon the 1lt would be doing over 4000prm. I can get 100kmh out of it but that would be more like 5000rpm so you don't want to hold it there too long. As for fuel consumption I'd get about 300km out of the 40lt, so for the sake of having a motor 1.5 times the size and only getting 50km less from the tank I'd again not be too worried. Hope that helps.
  24. Don't think he should be too upset as its sort of relavent to where he's at with the project. If you are Tally, just let me know and I can remove posts. I was just a bit interested as I used to do a bit of work rubbing back body kits before and after priming and we would always do the primer wet. Next step was always to prepsol everything well though.
  25. Hahaha....... but this is better......
