  1. i think a pink camo pattern paintjob would suit this car to a tee!
  2. the TA22 struts are different from the KE30. But they have the same bolt pattern at the top and can be made to fit.
  3. you can't forget about your partner in crime mic.... what was his name? geoff, glen, gary, GREG!! i can't believe we made it shorter for you all and everyone (except mic and greg) piked...maybe if we make it in torquay we'll get everyone! but on topic, those rims do look bloody unreal, i think i need to get some for my wagon.
  4. Click Here that is a picture of a strut. people say strut to mean everything (spring, hub, strut-tube)
  5. well, the car is officially going into pull-apart mode tonite. i have everything i need except fuel filters and line, gearbox oil and probably more degreaser and engine paint. my rad should also be arriving soon (once it's sent of course) i'll try and get pics of it along the way, i always say that and never deliver...but maybe with the help of another i can get it done. cheers dF
  6. don't get me started fellas... i've gone thru a sizeable list using vicplates.com.au, most of which won't pass the screening process. i'll throw a few up using the PPQ site. P3NIS NODICK ORLSEX VAG1NA CUN7 SMU7 NOCLUE SMALL1 HEKTIC FULYSK I<3DIK i'll stop there :lolcry: and only because i have it on my 20 X3ZJRO
  7. no worries poz  i'm ashamed to say that the beer isn't finished yet :lolcry: i might need to take it to Peter's house and drink it while upgrading the 20. have the elec's been paid yet??
  8. sux about the AAF, but i reckon you could convince everyone that they should be driving a ke corolla!! or maybe just get them to buy BMW's that are on their last legs :lolcry:
  9. those door trims are the same as my partners ke55XX. except where your speaker is, her's have pouches. its looking like a very nice buildup :lolcry:
  10. from all i've seen/read about, the 2T and 3T have the same mounts. and like LRS said, the E on the end of 3T-GTE mean fuel injection. :(
  11. philby, would you mind posting up pics of how much room you have with the twins sans trumpets/filters. i'm nearing making a decision on what to buy for my twins. they're on a very short manifold, so i might be able to get away with trumpets and socks (if i'm lucky) so long as whatever you get fits, i can't see having filters being a bad thing. unless you want to be pedantic and only drive during ideal conditions without filters at all! dF
  12. just enough so it's not poking out
  13. don't all of you come from the one house...it'll make it a bit too obvious as to where to direct retaliation later on.
  14. The dish is of no use lying on the floor teddy...
  15. that would be the fuel line from the fuel pump (the object it's screwed into) to the carby. all my engines have a solid fuel line from the pump to the carby. i'm sure you could just unscrew the one that's leaking and put in a new one.
  16. raven, he's from NZ, and from all reports, so long as it's "safe" its legal...(hunt down some pics of a 1UZ KP61 and you'll understand) but as raven said, really big wheels don't suit the old cars...and 'period' wheels you might/should be able to get in a 16".
  17. this probably won't help, but just add to the pile of thoughts floating around your head. but since you already have a T series engine, have you thought about a 3T-GTE or a 2T/3T hybrid turbo setup??
  18. it's not so much rim size, it'd be offset and tyre size you'd need to check... i don't have much more than that sorry.
  19. the 5k is just a bored out 4k...the blocks are the same. i remember reading that the auto ke1x shifter location was in the right spot for a k40/k50 from a ke2x/3x/5x (fairly sure i found that info on rollaclub)
  20. there's a mob on ebay selling repro door pulls for the ke2x. brown or black, $25 + shipping if i remember correctly
  21. $6 bucks for a burger?? Man, they're not getting anything worthy of eating. mine is usually upwards of $10 for burger alone.
  22. ebay for the adaptor, and most auto shops should have generic filters for a downdraft weber.
  23. i have no idea about the steering, but i can give some light on the AC i have a ke20 with AC as a dealer option. its a nippon-denso unit, with custom bracket to bolt the compressor to the engine. there's a separate blower unit that sits underneath the glove-box, with all the controls on it (coolness and fan speed). i'd imagine that this would all bolt into any ke1x/2x. hope that helps cheers dF
  24. great post 7shades :D if anyone ever gets a chance to watch the full documentary that the ice sliding is from, it's well worth it. i have nfi what it's called, but its all about the MKII Escort and it's reign across world rallying in the mid-late 70's...
