Went to the wreckers today with Wink and took some pics of some interesting wrecks.... [CAUTION] People have most likely died in these wrecks... Spotted this car at a wrecker near me and at first couldn't realise what type of car it was. Can anyone else?? This is the towbar... still attached. Looks like it was carrying a boat... and look at what position its in :o Was at another wrecker and spotted this Festiva. Looks like it hit a pole at a very high speed. Normally Festiva's keep their shape inside the cabin, this one didn't. Can anyone guess what speed?? Seems that the speedo stopped at the exact speed. I'll post the pic after we've had a few gues…

The first round of the Independant race series is taking place this saturday at Oran Park on the shorter South Circuit. So I just got my open motorbike licence. I felt a pressing need to do so, as it seems no matter how hard I try, all these fast cars aren't getting me any closer to my eventual goal of a painful and firey death... one truly worthy of being used in a government anti-speeding ad. With factory KE30s I have noticed that there are not many other colours other than white, and shades of yellow and brown. mine is factory Maroony kinda colour, even though it says it brown? Okay, my question to you all... When driving in traffic, do you lane hop to move to the faster moving lane with hope that you advance further into the traffic?? I myself admit I do cause I hate sitting in traffic. Although I do it does anyone agree that changing lanes to the faster moving lanes causes the traffic and therefore slows the lanes down? :sob: J.

Driving home late one evening the other night from the eastern suburbs to the south. I was just admiring how good corollas really are. Ive owned 2 previous corollas AE82 4ac and Ae82 twin cam, both terrific run abouts. I was admiring how well the KE20 handles, how tight the engine feels when shes warmed up, how smooth the ride is, how little the interior rattles (probably cos it has none haha), how great the heater runs, how it never breaks down....the list goes on!!!!. IT made me think....no wonder the corolla is the best selling car on the planet. Is this why every1 else here drives a corolla? i know ill stay toyota until i move on to european later in life. wanna hear …

Just stuffing around cos its bucketing down and I can't do bugger all else today, and I've noticed the Whereis.com satellite imagery is much more frequently updated than the Google ones... so I chucked my address in and there's my KE70 with black GT stripes sitting in the driveway! How cool is that shit!? I dunno about the rest of the country, but I can work out when my photos were taken based on how many and which cars are in my backyard... :) in my case, september last year which is MUCH more recent than Googles which are several years old. Mind you, google get their older images for free from the public domain, Whereis has to pay for them by loading their site…

Its bloody hard to fabricate the engine mounts, trying to work things out in 3D without fixed reference points, its going to take some tweaking.
