hey people. basicly ive bought a ke70 and just want some ideas of what engine mods to do it give any ideas you got. i want this car for street/drift. i can't drive turbo cause I'm on my p's. what suspension set up should i go for? thankss

As Ibought her for $350 from this dude in Ipswich, Had shagged suspension and rust in the boot. Rust has been cut out and plated, and i fit Monroe GT gas struts in the front. About to get dropped on lowered falcon springs rear and commodore springs front. And trying to decide between konig rewinds/ superlites, or five point challenger rims.. Any suggestions?? I'll post up some new pics soon, it's now got a black bonnet, and soon will be two-tone from the door handles up black and silver underneath. hi i picked up a big port 4age and loom out of a ae82 sx seca for the sum of $200 now the plan is puting it in the panel van and can any one tell me if that ae71 xmember is stock? look at the bolt holes where the lca bolt 2. can any one tell me if thats std or not?

Hey Hey, I bought this yesterday for $500 which i thought was an alright price for a Ke70 panel van. Specs: 5K. 5 speed. Fusion 6x9's and fusion 6's. Leaf sprung S series diff. 1 piece tail shaft, Sedans have a 2 piece item. 1 glass rear side window, The rest are metal. Pictures: New dash going in when i get some more time.

I Recently bought a good condition ke70 Panel Van off of Queen20v. Its a 1290 cc 4k-c with a 4sp manual. Its fun and easy to drive. Paint is in very good condition apart from under the petrol cap - This will be resprayed soon. Engine runs well but need to replace uni joints as there is a knock. I put some simmons V4's on it the other day but unfortunately they are too wide at the front. So i am on the lookout for some japanese rims. Where can i get a hold on some jap wheels? Recently aquired this gem from albury nsw sight unseen and drove it all the way home (ballarat Victoria) without it skipping a beat and went about getting it up to road worthy spec and making it my own. And then after getting it road worthy fitted some reset leafs I had acquired and some choppies till I get my corona struts sorted and chucked on a set of ssr formula stars I had holding up my ke25 Next on the list of things to do is swap out the terrible standard vinyl seats for some velour ma61 items and mod the sump on this sucker and chuck her in

this is my 1981 KE70 panelvan, bought for nearly nothing off an elderly man. had no modifications apart from a crappy immobilizer that eventually shit itself in the middle of nowhere with only a screwdriver and a pair of pliers to bypass it... also it got defected about a week before the rego ran out, but its all been fixed awaiting a vehicle inspection. this is a photo of what it originally looked like just with black stockys have since done only visual mods (just until it passes inspection {if it passes inspection haha})

Hey guys. First to introduce my small history with ke70's & why i love them. A few years ago a had a granny spec ke70, bog stock, immaculate inside, out & mechanically, & planned keeping it that way. Then, one morning, i don't know what happened, i clicked (got bored i guess). Cut the springs & painted it sunkist orange. Mind you, it was my first full spray job on a car, so was pretty average. This is my KE70 pano, brought it bout 4 months ago with a blown head gasket. Did the dodge and just took the head off cleaned with a razor blade and put a new gasket on, and its been the best car i've ever owned. I do need a LH park light cover though, so if anyone can help me find one it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys and girls i've owned my ke70 for 4 months now and have put some money aside. I want to get a 5k and 5speed cause my car is auto right now :y: how much do you think it would cost to get it converted and is it worth it because i'm a bit stuck right now with my crappy auto and my leak happy engine. so i picked this up a few weeks ago running so terribly it may aswell not have been. And not stopping when it eventually did get going. i paid 800 for it which was probably too much but there is no rust in it anywhere which i thought was a decent win :D i also just wanted one and was sick of looking :P its an 84, 5 speed and its stock as a rock so i can make it all mine. Hey guys i own a auto ke70 and was thinking is it worth it to change to a manual or just sell it and buy a manual ke-70? Its got some rust e.g behind the fuel cap, in the boot seal area.. Do you reckon i should pursue in fixing this up or look for a cleaner ke70. Any help would be good and some pointers on what i should pay attention on the car first would be appreciated because i'm kinda new to all of this.I'll post pics soon

Jello everybody, thought I would finally introduce myself and my machine. It is a 1984 KE70. Plans include, flat front end, chrome bumpers, chrome trim tail lights, Datsun 280 side repeater indicators, redo interior in red, full respray in crisp white, and renovate my 4K to look shiny! Basically I sold my pride and joy last year and bought a house(LINK to build-up). Now I've got the bug to build another one. I put up a WTB add on here where redae71 quickly put me in touch with one of his mates who was selling a shell. Got a early KE70 with a silver-top sitting in it for $600(bargain), palmed off the 20V to a mate, now I'm left with a rough but Straight/Rust free shell, perfect canvas to work my magic on. My 2T-B engine is seriously leaking oil, about 1 litre a day, the starter is dead, and many other problems so I've decided to move all the parts from the ae86 ( 170hp 4age, big front brakes, coilovers suspension, hydraulic handbrake, rear axle with limited slip and rollcage if it fits ) so therefore I have some questions that might already been answered, but I couldn't find it. ae86 parts, ke70 car engine, front suspension, steering components, crossmember = bolt on gearbox and gearbox crossmember = bolt on tailshaft = bolt on or does it need to be shortened? rear axle = bolt on fuel tank with built-in pump = same size, so I'll guess it will fit? anyone done th…

Hey all. Gribble here from Sydney. Just thought id share some info on my little Rally Project I'm currently building. Its going to be a fairly straight forward KE70, 4k, 5 speed, totally stripped interior, bilstein shocks, adm ae86 brakes, cage, seats, harnesses etc etc. Nice and simple for a starter. So far ive gotten the shell totally stripped down, I have removed the sound deadening from the interior and 90% of the crap tar stuff from underneath. Ive begun to stitch the chassis seams together to gain some torsional rigidity. Next step is to do the seat mountings and the cage. PICS! Ok ive finally uploaded some pics of the build. so this is my newly aquired ke70 four speed manual 4k-c engined shitbox. i say rolling relic because besides the rust repairs it needs which involves the two spaces above the taillights and a small patch in the roof. when thats fixed and ground down and undercoated. the paint will be left the same, the spotlights will remain. the interior is staying as it is. it will eventually have a worked 4k and hopefully go sideways on demand but i don't want to roll the guards or anything i just want to keep the old school patina and slam it on some black widened stockies. oh and theres abit of rust in the fuel filler cap but an easy fix. the wheel arches seem to b…

Hey guys, thought I'd post my rolla up here for some feedback and to get to now a few members. Well I swapped my r31 skyline for 2 ke70's and a ca18det package. 1 rolla had rego and the other was defected to regency( which the previous owner thought he would tell me it was defected after the trade). The one with rego has a 4k which the previous owner reckons it had a port and polish, 20 though shaven of the head and a few other things. Had the usual spark plug o'ring oil leak and sump leak. picked this up a few weeks ago, just put fresh rego on it nd am currently in the process of prepping for an in your face paint job.. picking up rims for it this weekend too.

On tuesday I bought myself a gold XX ke70 for under a grand, interior was quite immaculate, but has problems with the engine running too hot, possibly head gasket or head, and some fairly big rust holes down under the boot. Other then that, I was very satisfied, even the dash is almost perfect! one little crack. Plan is to build it up, to an immaculate streeter, with a bit of a JDM feel, chrome bars, quad lights, carby 4age further down the track. I know a thread is useless with out pics, but camera was dead, so this is all I have at the moment. More photos to come of rust damage when my camera is working.

Old ke70 4d is now sold and starting a new project, ke70 STW -87 with 4K that 4k must go and thinking 4age to replace that. Hi all. Picked up this KE70 from a mate recently to get onto the track with. I was 3/4 of the way through prepping a VT commodore for circuit duties but the costs were starting to get hefty. I planned on converting all the suspension arms on that to rose joint and costs were just blowing out, even with DIY every thing. Only so many hours in the day too Over a few drinks at said mates work shop n spied this in the corner neglected as he had just bought a fully prepped KE70 LS1 powered drift car.

Hey guys. Thought I'd finally post up some pics of my KE70 Wagon, not my first E Chassis but definitely not my last and I don't think I could ever get rid of it. Bought it with a shitload of rust and needed lots of work. All rust was cut out and fibre glassed (may eventually cut and weld), engine issues were fixed. Got wheels from Japan (SSR Star Sharks, 13x7 -0 and 13x6.5+20), DX quad front (reproduction set I think), genuine PV front and rear chrome bars w/end caps and brackets, chrome weather shields, genuine Nardi Classic with a Personal long boss kit and I put new carpet in it.
