Greetings to the people of this board...I have been a lurker for quite sometime. I think its time to post something in here, because some of my problems in my KP61 restoration project couldn't be solve. I will be posting also the progress my restoration project here so that others might also benefit from it.

Hey guys... I'm Krystle, from Sydney, I'm a newie to the rolla club... i know i prob sound a bit blonde (i don't really know nethin about cars) but i need advice! ive got a lil green '80 KE55 2door corolla... i luv it! but its got a rust - at the rear window and above rear tyres rego comes up in da nxt few weeks I'm at uni.. so I'm on a bit of a budget! :lmao: do i spend the money on it and get the rust out and get it re-sprayed (like how much is that?) or do i sell it? i also need a new front bumper, side left panel and a new bit around rear window what shud i do? do u reakcon its worth me fixing it up? HELP! :D

Suspension is front Ford sierra front spring( i have shorten two and half round the spring), shock absorber are e9 corolla. Absorder assy i had shortened 40 millimeters. So front side are 80-90millimeters lower than original. Rear spring are little bit shortened. Front indicator lights are from BMW e30. Front spoiler are golf mk1. Hey Thought I may aswell post my project as I've joined now. Basically I bought this car to learn about the mechanical side of things. Its my first car and I picked her up for $425. It was in good condition but not really atm. Plans - Warm 4k (Rebuild) :angrybird:, Whiteline sways, re-spray, Rt corona brake upgrade, stripped interior, rims, cut all rust out and NO BOG, lower at front, new rims/tyres, weight reduction :D, yeah the list goes on, but thats the notable stuff. He at some point had sold it to a female college student, who didn't like the car after buying it and sold it to the previous owner's friend of 30 plus years. That guy had owned it for years and sold it to the previous owner who ran the car for many more years. He loved the car sooooooo much he brought it back with him to the USA in 1996. Just bought this bad boy for $500 got some big dreams, keep it sleeper, not sure to do an 8 or turbo conversion yet, any suggestions? Going to paint a nice pastel yellow keep the brown and cream interior and nothing to crazy just straight and clean. A lot of $$ and time about to be spent on this.

Had a friend asking me about getting him a 4k for his ke70, I instead made an offer on the car and viola' I now own a rwd Rolla :) Its currently an auto with a 4k-c which overheated due to being leant to an overseas visitor (bloody victorians :P) and was driven with a leaky top radiator hose, got a wee bit hot and developed a big end noise :( My friend then thought it was a good idea to hold it in low gear until the bottom end exited the sump.... Gotten a lot of help looking at different threads here on Rollaclub, so thougt i'd just publish it. Most of you have seen my SL Sprinter before, but just picked it up from the sign writer after adding racing stripes and windscreen band. You'll be able to check this car out and my KE 11 this Saturday in the City for NRMA Motorfest. The 7k transplant starts next month. :hmm:

And its a corolla! tonight i bought the wife to be a 2001 Corolla hatch. the one with the weird bubble taillights. stock as a rock, dark blue! (woot blue corolla again!) i think we did alright for 4800 with just over 6 months rego. has an oem 6 stacker c player up on the dash, but it seems to be playing up. might pull it appart and see what its doing, or ill just throw in a cheapy head deck. Carb is junk though so I'm replacing it with a Weber 38 Outlaw that got for a good deal. Hi All, Just thought i would update you on the final testing of our KE15 for this year. Just had it down at Four Performance at Parafield for its final tune and check. See one of the runs on You tube: We ended up finding out that the fuel pump was faulty which stopped the 4psi of fuel pressure needed for webers. It was running at about 1.5Psi which shows up on long power runs with the weber fuel bowl running dry, this then started to lean out the mixture at the high end. This was fixed with new fuel pump which should now maintain the pressure required. Bloody amazing what Dyno's can show when you are testing on them. The final power figure was about 105…

I bought it pretty much as is so the only things done so far is new Motul 4100 oil and ngk iridium spark plugs. The short version…… Well it all started when the tailgater that had been following us just about all over town pushed Rolln03 just that little bit too hard… One screaming 4k and a lesson to the tailgater taught (smokescreen…well almost) we were left with fried piston rings and a blown head gasket. So... I was having a couple of beverages with this german backpacker the other day, and, long story short, she gave me her car. Its a 1980 Mazda 929. 2 litre, 5 speed, Aircon. Grotesquely overweight, and more akin to driving a lounge room than a car.... with period correct brownest of brown interior, resplendent in crushed velvety stuff (striped and pleated) and laminex woodgrain. hey guys picked up my new rolla today after recently moving to NSW from SA. gone down a different track this time and got me a ae71. it has not a speck of rust on the whole car, not any where, paint is perfect too, shiny and white !!! interior perfect too, I'm the 2nd owner of the beast. has full service history and books, and done just over 200000km. csx model obviously with working aircon. only down side is clutch is pretty gone but with the motor coming out its not really a worry. so any way keep an eye out for this one .... got some big plans cheers matt

Ok, so the story began after I acquired another ke70 corolla after my first one was written off. This one is a late model ke70, so it has the slant front head lights, automatic, 1.3l 4k. The plan was to stick a 4age in it, coilovers, LSD, stripped interior, strut bracing and some ma61 rims. Anyways at the moment its standard 3k 4 speed, my plans are the following. 5 speed box (ASAP if your in SE melbourne and have a decent one let me know) I have a 5k sitting at home that will go in. So.. Ive decided that along with the casual street work I usually do, I'm just not satisfied. So I made a decision that will change my whole appearance. I'm going to do drag! It all started last week with a suggestion from a mate at work who has been regularly out on wednesday night and convinced me its something I should add to my repetoire.
