So finally after about 2 years, work has started on my 74 ke30 I initally bought the car off here as a long term project, with a massive build in mind of a 3sgte beams, 6 speed etc. but after not doing anything at all for 2 years, getting into a better position financially work has started with the assistance of my housemate. picked up a 4agte a couple weeks ago and have torn that down mostly and looking into rebuild kits (didn't need it, just peace of mind). so far have pulled engine, box, front struts, and diff. most of the car was apart when i got it with the majority of interior parts there, there is very little rust which I'm happy about, 3 small …

Hey guys picked this up a few months back was in some guys back yard for about 4-5 yrs haha didn't have keys when I bought it, had a 3t an t50 the 3t was absolutely f@#ked, got it home ripped the motor out rebuilt it an still didn't like it so out she came clean/painted the engine bay and converted it from box steering to rack an pinion, an installed ae71 running gear but auto for now :(

so, this is my new project that I'm picking up this weekend, as you can see its not the prettiest thing around. it has alot of rust, i mean A LOT! still havent seen it in person but who is gonna complain when its this cheap... it has a 4ac in it at the moment and no gearbox or interior, hopefully be able to build it into something fun, and not spend too much money! sorry about the shitty pic, its all i have got that shows the good side...

Well I saw a deal that I couldn't pass. My wife spotted a 1974 corolla on Craigslist and the posting was recent. Due to how hard these are to find, I jumped on it and called the guy. It was in a tow yard, and had been sitting there for 8-10 years. It was stored indoors for most the time. I told the guy I wanted it and would see him in driving time (3 1/2 hours). The seller had pulled the tank, dumped the old gas, cleaned and put about 2 gallons of new gas in it. He charged the battery that was in it, and it fired right up. OK, so I just got this home from Hobart, was my brother's, Mum decided it would be better for it to be used rather than rust away to nothing in their backyard, so she gave it to me...... Month's ago I picked up a reasonably straight minimal rust 1980 2door rolla coupe manual ex paddock bomb, no starter motor, drive shaft, radiator and it's never been started since I've got it. My aim is to get the 2 door registered by sticking the running gear from the 77 into the coupe I would like to keep the spend of this build low, and work with what I got. Cheers DZach23

well i sold my ke30 during the week and went and bought this the plan is to have a go at drifting and in my opinion this is a great car to learn in as the body isnt the best and it can't be regoed so it doesnt matter if i dent it :laff: the best part about it is it's already set up for sliding with the suspention consisting of ae86 front struts, new shocks and vl springs, ae86 vented disks and calipers with braided lines and corona control arms. whilst the rear end has new boge turbo rear shocks and falcon springs making the car stiff as f**k the drive train is pretty much done with the exeption of a cracked piston ring which is as simple as a rebuild to fix s…

Hi guys. I found your forum from Google and joined immediately!! So, i bought this -69 KE15 from my friend, that had the car about 11 years in the garage. I sold it to him in year 2000, and he didn't had the time to build it. So i got my youth back and the car was in the same shape that when i sold it. Engine is a 3K bigport, maybe someone has changed the cam, at least it feels like it, lol. The body is original, i think. I can't find any weldseams!! Hi there guys, I am a newbie to this forum and the old school corolla scene but will be a regular. I recently made the trip down to Melbourne to pick up a ke70 that I picked up for a reasonable price. I have plans to turn it into a drift, I have plans to clean it up; it has rust in the rear quarter and on the rear boot latch that will have to be fixed. So i just recently got heavily into cars after buying this 81 KE70 from a work mate, only got 183,000km on it, runs well and I'm keen to keep modifting it heavily. It is pretty heavily molested but that the way i like it and I'm planning on chucking a 13B in there then later puting a custom gt35r on.
