Specs: 1.3 4k 4 speed manual Aircon-not for long. fulysic am-fm tape player My new project. Ke70 panelvan. Picked it up off some kid that had blown the clutch in his paddok for $50. although the car is not rusty. it had many dents. i have started to panelbeat most of them. still getting onto the rest. i have another clutch for it. havent bothered to put it in yet. still need a starter motor. The main problem that i have atm is the passenger door. The seam has split off the door and it is falling apart. i will either need to find another one or just weld it up. I don't plan to have this thing completly straight and clean. its my p plateers car. nothing special. …

This is my wifes KE17 that she thought she was going to sell but after i got it out gave it a little clean and had it prepared to be freighted to SA to the new very worthy owner ( sorry Jai ) she changed her mind. Whilst the car was tucked away in the shed the decision to sell was easy but after having it sitting in the carport and going for a drive any chance of it being sold was gone ( for now anyway ). Hard to believe after 10 years in storage just rebuilding the front calipers, a new battery and cleaning out the carbys and we're away again.

This is my new baby. He's a 1975 ke36 got around 380,000ks on the clock and isn't coming along too bad. Has a 4k with a k40 manual and fairly standard driveline. Put a new battery, the firehawks and hotwires on it as well as changing the locked diff to a standard borgy last weekend. It's history past 12 months ago is a bit sketchy, all we've been able to figure past that is the remnants of signwriting from a panelbeater's in Toowoomba on the doors. Hi Guys And Gals I'm Andy (NewAgeDinosaur) Just thought i would post some pics of my Ke30 CA project and the Ke55 mock up car. The red Ke30 is solid as a rock i could only find one bit of rust in it the size of a 5 cent piece. Has a 4k and 5 speed in it and really it just needs a good clean up new front carpet and 2 new tyres then rego it. Someone gave it to me for helping him get his ke55 to start. Once i have mocked up all the CA setup in the old rusty ke55 will transfer it to the Ke30. Am going Ca18DE to start with while rebuilding the CA18DET. Oh and my 2 dogs love cars and cameras. just recently i had injured my self at work and was at home bored as anything so i logged onto rollaclub and had a quick squizz through the for sale forum.. and there it was 500 bucks.. might as well.. pretty cheap. Came as a rolling shell with a 4k and 4 spd box to put it in. the paint job its come with seems like its been done with a paint roller or brush in parts. Cheers. Paul.

hey all i bought another car and was considering selling my Ke30 but now i'm not sure i could bring myself to do it and was thinking maybe a minor race conversion for the occasional track day (or mountain road) i was thinking 7K-ET to start off with in the power department. then brakes and suspension upgrades of course. any thoughts?

Bought her for $950 with 184k. Mods Weber 32 36, Pulstar platinum plugs, no cat to straight pipe to 2" thrush turbo, egr block off, hood tilt to help run cooler(works well), lowered 2". Future mod I know where a Corolla this era sits with an oem chrome roof rack has not moved since 09.

my mate has a AE71 rolla that is stock. we are doing some suspension work to it and we got thinking. he just so happens to have some ford ba 6 cyl injectors, a audi tt coupe turbo and efi running gear lying around. we were thinking of throwing it all together with hawk comp that he can get a hold of very easily and cheep. any ideas other than the wiring mess and decomp. how do you recon the 4ac will hold up? cheers

Picked this bad boy up about 1 month ago as a bit of a side project along side getting my calais turbo wagon back on the road......its a 1983 KE70 Wagon, 4k, 4spd manual, 190,xxx kms on the clock. Doesn't blow smoke, lights work (sort of) and it drives pretty straight considering its age. This is basically going to be my car to learn rust repair, body prep and painting on. It's unrego'd so It doesnt really bother me long it takes to sort out. It has a decent amount of rust, but most of it I THINK i will be able to sort out.

First of all id like to introduce myself, I'm Robert Davies, I'm 17 in 2 weeks and about 3 months ago i bought myself a 1983 Late model Ke70. It needed a good clean up and a good tune so i ended up scoring it for $500. Well, I picked up this Blue spirit for the pricely sum of $350 with no rego, two blown tyres, macked brakes all round, a clutch that made driving the car more like an automatic that did a kickdown everytime you touched the throttle and a really bad paintjob. However, all the important points were there. Very little rust, straight panels and a near overrated interior. Well, I started this project a little while ago after picking up a rust-free shell from Trendact. Bloody cheap too. It had NO interior except the dash and steering wheel and door trims. My first plan was to throw a 4age at it. But finances stood in the way of that. Then I was going to freshwn up the 4k (needed a rebuild anyway). But then I found a nice 5k to wack in it. Well a wise man once said "I will never own another AE82 again" Yet here I am. Picked it up on Friday night. Pretty sweet deal I guess. It's a very original CSX with all the goodies. Has a very nice interior with the velour headlining, rear headrests, tacho dash and elongated console arrangement. Previous owner added a JVC MP3 headunit and Pioneer front speakers which is mega bonus. The car was originally optioned up with the aircon and power steering so it's an absolute pleasure to drive with the steering. Paintowrk is faded as so I'll need to give it a bit of a cut/polish/wax. Hey guys thought i would do a thread on my current project, it has changed a little over the past couple of months due to serveral reasons. Originally the plan was simple 4age, stick 2 1g turbos on it and have some fun till i blew stuff up then start again. Well after looking for about 3 month trying to find a "decent price"(keeping in mind that i bought the car for $300) for a gearbox i came across something a little strange. So after selling my Stagea i needed a new daily driver.. I bought a 1978 Mazda 323 Bugeye needing minimal work. Did a few mods, Blew it up and then needed another daily while i fix it.. So i bought this! 1.6 Manual converted. 151000ks. Full nugget spec with total neglect, Weldy choppies etc shitbox I had it for about 2 days before hating it so broke out the spanners. Doing plugs discovered 3 different kinds of plug and burnt out points. Wound timing back to an acceptable level while i was there. Found another bargain in my travels today A 36 Panelvan, Minimal rust, drives really well, only 210,000k's, 14" Alloys with NEW LT Tyres It's also got a really tidy 5K in it....purrs like a kitten I'm quite happy with it :P especially at the total sum of $200 delivered

This is my new beast. 1974 corolla, 1 owner, all books, no rust, dead straight, 3k engine. Picked up for $1500. I have plans to put simmons rims on her but am needing some input to what needs to be done to get a 4age into it. Also what gearbox and what brake and suspension upgrade would be best for a track/road car. Help would be apreciated, or even links to posts. I have money to play around and want to do things right the first time round. .

Ok so I have a bit of spare time off over xmas/new year so going to finally take the KE55 off the road and start ripping in to the motor and starting the rebuild. I have a spare 4k that I am going to be swaping out the original motor for while I work on it just in case I need to use the rolla to get around.
